Genuinely chuckle while you reach over to help get that piece off Krotos' finger. Say that it figures that such a piece would have a taste for succulent Vark flesh.
Tell Krotos that you don't know just how he could help, since you don't know what he can do. He's stuck in the dream-Catacombs, right? ...Could he scout out the route from your dream's entrance to where these "Five" are? Maybe eavesdrop on them too? Then he could meet you in your dream later tonight to tell you how to get there and anything else he's found out.
He may also be able to move between the entrances to Briannah's, Kira's and General Thalia's dreams and check if they've been entered by any of the Nightmare's agents. And speaking of a the Nightmare's agents, does Krotos have any idea how many in the palace, the Grand Temple, and the capitol are in thrall to the Nightmare?
And could he possibly find Karas' dream and scout out how badly he's been corrupted and if he could do anything for him? Is there anything that could possibly be done to cut Karas free of the Nightmare's grip?
And if there's anything else Krotos thinks would help you, he should do it. Now, is there anything he wants you to tell anyone once you wake up? Anything for our father, or Kira, ...or Briannah? Anyone else he'd want to relay a message to? Anything hidden he'd want to share the location of, or other secrets he wants to share that would be lost with his death?
And they wanted him to possess your body, to take your place, but to what ends? What'd they need him for? ...And would it be possible for him to possess the body of another dying Vark and be brought back?
>*Sigh* if only thing had gone differently… I still love her, you know… I truly do…
...Tell Krotos that Briannah still had, and has, some kind of feelings for him, even after what he did. She loved him for real, and she cherishes the memories of who he was... Before he... Y'know...
>I what!? But I didn’t… she wasn’t supposed to be there… I only… the only ones I attacked was the leaders… and some guards… who was… wearing helmets… by the five…
You wonder why he didn't notice that she was among Brianthor's bodyguard, given she's so tall and... well... wide compared to other Sakkilians. Wasn't it mentioned a Sakkilian of her prodigious size is a real rarity, with only one or two born in a generation? That might have been a exaggeration, but such giants are still quite rare. She'd stand head and shoulders over the rest of the guard. ...Unless the guards were all, or most, giants like her. That would make sense for guarding a group as important as the Empire's high command and Brianthor.
>Do you honestly think I would try and kill our poppa!?
Well, that's what our poppa said when he laid out to you what Krotos did. Granted, he also told you that Krotos was buried in a unmarked grave in the middle of nowhere, when in actuality Krotos was brought in secret before Kira for trial and thrown into the Catacombs, so he may have been lying or misinformed. It may have been that the assassination plot, and the poison plot, was laid at Krotos' feet so as not to inflame anti-Empire sentiment in the post-war negotiations. Though, considering the whole mess with Krotos' treason has been kept secret from all but a very few, doing such a thing wouldn't make sense.
>No, it was Brianthor who was the mastermind behind that. Why do you think I had him killed? I don’t backstab people needlessly… but if they try to backstab me…
And, again, your poppa told you otherwise. He said Krotos backstabbed Brianthor thinking he could take both Risavia and the Zadian Empire for himself. ...Which is really dumb 'cause the Empire's citizens would never stand to be under such rule and half the whole nation would turn become guerrillas or revolt. So another case of your father possibly either lying to you or having been lied to. Does Krotos have any idea where there'd be proof of Brianthor's betrayal of Krotos, or of his assassination or poisoning plot against Risavia?
>but I know that when I found your near lifeless body… and saw what they had done to it I…
And what, exactly, had they done to you?
>I think they needed a host… someone to contain them all… and then they wanted to recreate the empire of old... with them as their new god.
Did they say anything about what criteria they had for such a host? As in, what that host needed to be, and what needed to be done to that host, to be a vessel for them all.
>Though, someone has been sabotaging them from the inside, trying to steal to power for themselves to put into some Sakkilian priest...
Sounds like that's the Archbishop and Belseth, though you can't be certain. It might not be the Archbishop but someone else that was looking to steal the power to put into Belseth.
>I think they were planning on ending that threat once and for all right before I left… but I don’t know what happened after that… after I saved you.
This could mean they were gonna to neutralize the Archbishop, Belseth, or both of them in some way. Considering they made a move on the Archbishop and she escaped, they may have decided to turn on Belseth to remove him for good, just to be sure the Archbishop can't enact her plan. Fuck, you need to get him out of the Grand Temple ASAP, before it's too late. ...Oh, you hope to the heavens it's not too late already.
>Either way, you need to act fast… if my count is right, they are ready to ascend again in just a day or two… when the twins are kissing for the first time.
That's referring to the twin moons and when they start crossing over each other, right? Huh, you thought they were gonna do it next week when both moons are full and the level of ambient magic would be at its zenith. Anyway, Kronos, you know just when the next time the moons are going to start crossing is?
>Father choose Kira as his successor, thus she was to be the queen instead of Krotos. It is a simple as that.
You have to remember to ask your father why he chose Kira over Krotos, at a future point when things aren't so hectic and dire.
>Yeah… I’ve seen it… in fact, I was actually thinking about resizing the doors to my room…
>...just enough that she wouldn’t notice until she got stuck… and then needed help…
...If you got new, extra reinforced, and thus extra thick, door frames and doors, that would excuse the fact that the doorways would be narrower as a security precaution. Though, perhaps not on all the doorways in your apartment and just on your bedroom door and the entrance to your apartment.
And before you wake up, give your brother a close hug. He may or may not really be Krotos, but if he is then you don't want to miss what may be the last chance to hug him.
Alright, once you wake up there's a few of things you need to remember to do. First is giving a debriefing to Sisah, the Archbishop, and Cain on exactly what happened after you entered Tim's dream, in full. You'll also need to tell General Thalia and maybe Kira too.
Second is finding out exactly what happened around when you entered the royal crypt and were rescued from it. Were you found inside or outside, who drugged the entrance guard, and so on. That'll corroborate what Krotos said or not.
Third is getting as much of the damn story around Krotos and Brianthor's actions as possible. Who knew what when, the order of orders and what those orders were. Find out if Krotos is telling the truth or not about his involvement and Brianthor's supposed betrayal. You're probably going to have to pin Kira down on this. Related to this is finding out of Krotos kept a journal of any kind for real, and if so where it is now.
Fourth is finding out where Krotos' message to Briannah went to, if it ever existed. Better ask Krotos how he attempted to send his message to Bri and who would have handled it.
And long term, you really need to find out if there's any way to stick some kind of goddamn overflow drain or pressure release valve into the Soul Kiln. 'Cause having psychic sewage backing up into the metaphorical basement of the palace, the Grand Temple, and the whole capitol and polluting the dreams and minds of everyone here to varying degrees has probably been fucking up Risavia for who knows how long. Maybe as long as there has been a Risavia. That would explain why your nation's culture and traditions have been rather brutal, such as "recycling" the bodies of slain enemies and all the horrid shit the Temple got up to in the past.

>I feel there's some kind of plot going on behind the scenes here- someone also drugged the guard to the entrance to the catacombs and I don't know who.
It wasn't the entrance to the Catacombs of the Godless, but rather to the Royal Crypt. But that aside, it's true we never did find out who drugged that guard's rations with sleeping potion and dragged them into the bushes. I thought it may have been Doxan acting under Bri's orders to clear the way for Kronos to enter the crypt. Though, if Doxan did have such orders he probably would have picked and removed the padlock on the crypt gate too. And if he did that, he would have seen the copious amounts of warning signs and probably headed Kronos off before he went into the toxic spore cloud. So something is indeed fishy around the circumstances of Kronos entering the royal crypt.
