@Rynh and company. Not sure if this ones been asked already

It's hard not to notice the wide variety of races around the country you're in: Kobolds, Goblins, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Minotaurs, Centaur, Cat-people etc. While Racism still seems to be around you guys seem accepting enough to still live in the same cities. Very kitchen sinkish.

Any reason why this is? Fantasy tends to be -full- of racial wars and hatreds after all. How'd you all end up in the same big melting pot culture?

Merchant city? A new world sort of deal? Inspirational leader? Or some big bad demon ages ago that forced it? Gradual economic dependence? Quests with similar setups feel free to answer as well.

Tommy, my main chaos god undead-cat-blob man
Just what is your opinion of your alternate self? I mean, look at how he failed and isn't even making sweet love regularly to a succubus right now. Just where are the kitty succubi/incubi children we've been expecting?

Do you understand what your other self has failed to contribute? He has not introduced and fathered Catgirl Succubi into the world. For shame. You had the excuse of being a giant soul eating abomination corrupting your form and genetics, but him? All he might even have is that undead constructs can't have children, but still somehow have your reproductive systems working normally beyond that. Just what is the dealio?

Well maybe I should ask Minci this, I know Tom wouldn't have been your first boyfriend, so I have to ask if you've had any kids or other mega sweethearts besides him? Who was your first seduction job?

Well, this area is kind of central to a lot of main roads, there's lots of farms all through here and there's a couple ports over here. The south is heavily forested, so there's lots of elves, goblins. Mountains to the north for dwarves, minotaurs, kobolds, more goblins. The central plains area has humans and centaurs.

It's mostly the trade and economy thing. People are more tolerant when they want each others stuff or money.
It doesn't even mean that they particularly like each other and a lot of places are still total dicks, but most major trade hubs are pretty diverse.

I'll take that as a compliment. I don't visit a particular dentist. Whoever is on shift is fine by me, and I don't visit the public clinics often anyway. I brush, floss and rinse with antiseptic mouthwash regularly. When I lose teeth, it's not because of bad hygiene.

Our hands are more nimble than they look, and that's saying fuck all. We're not known for our fine watches, and we have a good deal of trouble with hand worked mechanics than humans or mikliks.

With a lot of practice, we're able to hook our claw in to pull a trigger without losing a great deal of accuracy for weaponry made for others, but that's another chalked in reason I prefer explosives. We have to have a lot of gear, guns and some types of armor custom fitted to use it properly. It's hard to mass produce hand related things for a wide range of our population.

Madame Lazinia, when you were a mortal, how did you earn your title? Either you were born as a noble or you ran a brothel, so which is it?

I mean, a lady of your class and hubris makes it seem obvious that you would be of noble descent, but Madames of brothels are pretty classy and prideful too, so I figure I shouldn't just assume anything. I mean, yeah, I did say that all vampires ARE notorious sex fiends and already thought that you ran a vampire brothel, but I do believe a confirmation is in order instead of mindless speculation.

There's no shame in running a brothel, in my opinion. So don't take my assumption that you're related to the sex trade as an insult please. It can be a very fancy business with much respect and taste involved!

I'm guessing part of that is because your species has an extremely broad range of sizes among adults. I mean, Kappi's like, half your size if that, while the Twins looked like they were actually a little bigger than you (for all the good it did 'em).

So does the hive feed their soldiers Vitamin huge, or do the larger Neumoneumo gravitate towards the military?

Speaking of weapons, you had a plasma blade implanted within your ear tissue without so much a noticeable bulge or incision. Just how thick are your ears (as prospectively all we see are two nebulous puffs) and how did such a crazy idea -not- go wrong?

>>359806
That's neumono. There's nothing unusual about bigger people being better in a fight, but I've seen small girls kick some ass. Anyway, the only 'vitamin huge' we get is a good diet of lots of food.

>>359812
Our ears act as fat storages around the normal cartilage. They can be as thin as half an inch plus fur, or as you put it, 'nebulous puffs.' Mine hover between 2 to 4 inches. There are no critical organs inside, so how could such a crazy idea go wrong? It was lodged in there for awhile, so any marks that weren't covered by fur were healed over.

The neumono diet consists of food by the bucketload, unless you're a Kappi. And I mean [i]real[/i/] food. Most species can handle empty calories and filler mass, but a neumono can starve if they satiate their hunger with junk.

>>359839
Right. It was pointed down for my undying love of safety first, not like it would kill me either way. Even if my ear did flick the switch, the safety was on. It's as dangerous as a gun, after all, and the safety is under a convenient, inner ear-proof panel.

Why shouldn't she smile all the time? She seems to prefer intimidating folks, and the mixture of having a muzzle full of razors, and looking like she's having a ball (which is usually true) can be very intimidating.
She's in enemy territory every time she leaves the hive. That grin of hers probably halves the bullshit she receives.

>I can take out a heart or two. His body will most likely pass out while it goes into shock as the other hearts pick up their pace.
How many hearts are we talking here? How big, and open-valve or closed-valve?
>Or I can take out a lung, which will be fine if not for some neumono's not passing out under that sort of damage.
Same question as above, plus the question of just what sort of material are neumono organs made of or could be compared to?
>Or I can shoot out his stomach. He will most likely enter hibernation for several hours to prevent starvation as it patches itself over.
>to prevent starvation
The fuck? I understand going into hibernation to prevent bleedout, but starvation? Do you guys have t eat constantly, or does the food 'sit' in your stomach as you digest it constantly for nutrition?

I'll answer what I can, but I'm no doctor.

>Hearts
10. Various sizes from small to very small. They beat in unison as though they're one, but isn't fatal if one or 2 or are destroyed. Or 5. Maybe. Our blood does a good job of clotting. Sometimes too good. It's not unheard of for a heart to get fucked up when an errant clot goes down the wrong pipe. I don't know what you mean by open-valve or close-valve. Again, no doctor.

>Lungs
Just 2, but we can hold our breath for a very long time. It's possible to live if both lungs are temporarily neutralized, but if they're flat out removed or completely destroyed, the poor once-owner of them won't likely make it without some serious, immediate transplant of some sort.
Now, you want to know the kind of material? Hell if I know. I don't think it's anything special. Our bodies are made under the assumption that you're going to lose a limb or get a heart shot. Those things happen. The material of our organs aren't anything amazing, and rely on passing their buck to the rest of the body if they get in trouble.

>Stomach
The hibernation also helps against bleeding out, yes, but the eating constantly and sitting food are both true. Eating constantly is mostly what applies. We may not die if we go six or so hours without food, but it becomes very difficult to function depending on convoluted medical circumstances, and is why we store almost all the excess fat we come across. Most of our rations that are taken on longer missions are condensed formulas that we can quickly shove into our stomachs to maximize time spent eating vs nutrition gained. Looks like shit, and doesn't taste much better.

Sounds almost like Neomono arteries are wrapped in muscle fibres and are peristaltic, the entire circulatory system being a distributed heart.

I'm kind of surprised they have problems with the cold, what with the massive amounts of heat they must put out from consuming that much food. Or it might just be an exceptionally cold blizzard.

Polo: Rikek seems to think the ship you saw is a sign of a particular group's return. Who's return was he talking about? Also, what sort of religion is most prevalent among neumono? Given the militaristic bent of your culture, I imagine it to be something like Asatru, the warfare-heavy religion of the Vikings...

The cold wasn't much of a problem until it began snowing, and still, it is mostly that Rikek simply isn't used to the cold.

>>359979
I believe Rikek was simply asking if that particular ship would be coming back, as he likely caught on that it wasn't the friendly sort.

We don't typically have religions. The closest thing we have to an object of worship would be a hive's queen, if applicable.

A neumono becomes queen by blunt force of personality. She, or rarely a king, is one with such a strong empathic link that other neumono are drawn to her and form a hive, to make a simplification. The hive shortly becomes self sufficient, and will continue even if the queen should die or somehow be unavailable.

If there is no queen in an already existing hive, then another neumono may take the lead again, by sheer personality force, but also by how well she matches in with the hive already. Usurpation of an existing queen is possible, but very rare.

No matter what, the queen acts as the baseline for the entire hive's personality and thought patters. In many ways, she is treated as the entire hive in a single embodiment. In compassionate hives, the queen is amongst the most generous. In combat hives, the queen is among the toughest of our race.

There used to be other heirarchy positions in previous ages, but those were purely ceremonial and artificially made. At present, there is only the queen or king, and everyone else.

I guess there are few questions I never answered! Bah!

>You're 23 but your hair's gone grey and your body's giving out? Why is that, is it all the Void radiation/regular radiation?
Yes, I have small troubles with my health. I don't believe it's radiation. It's... complicated, really! My own habits, frequent accidents, few hereditary diseases of sorts, and so forth. I might need to abandon this body at some point... Which is quite a shame.

>blah blah uplifting a world
>I mean, you are awesome, but all you build is things that go boom, and things that go un-boom. Maybe a gifted child in your hypothetical technocratic empire will be the one to develop FTL drives!
Nah, I don't feel like uplifting a world. Shitty and long process. They'll probably just backstab me. It's just so much more fun handing them weapons they don't understand and watch them to incinerate the fuck out of eachother!
I am doing fine progress by myself! And it's no fun when someone else invents and builds it!

>dear tory. if you could use energy-matter converter to MAKE psykonium, you would basically become king of the scellor.
Easier said than done. And I am not very interested in being a king. I want to be Maximum Emperor Overlord of Absolute Annihilation.

I gotta agree with the floppy-ears. Smiling is good! Everything is good! Spirit Kernel prototypes ready, all fun, all good!
