Oh man so there’s a sub-type of Kin called Scale-Kin, they’re basically any amphibious race and reptiles, it’s a catch all term. You can find fish headed people (kind of like the cuphead lady) and also just regular fish people. But they need to be hydrated often. My headcanon for them was that they had these water headphones they wear on their gills that keep them hydrated. That or something like they could wear a fishbowl choker that’s full of water making it easy for them to be on land. I’m also down for other suggestions. Introducing a fish person eventually in the future could be neat!

had another few ideas for Artifacts or items, but I already made my suggestions in the thread, so i'll put them here in case anyone likes them, for the future.
Prime Material Recycler: A large machine, similar to a trash compactor or garbage disposal device, that when fed any kind of waster matter, recycles it into Prime Material, a primordial base matter that can be further processed by the machine into any other type of matter or material, including flesh and biological products. The process is time consuming, and grows longer depending on the complexity of the material being created, with any biological material taking far longer. The machines also cannot dispense the material in any kind of complex or altered shape, instead producing the requested matter as a pure, simple block.

Mystic Symbiote: A infant protoplasmic creature in a jar, which bonds with the next living creature capable of retaining mana it comes in contact with. Once bonded, it remains attached to the hosts body like a second skin, slowly growing as it matures, and subtly feeds off the excess mana the host gives off. The creature stores a portion of fed mana and will share it with the host when needed, acting as a secondary source of emergency energy. Additionally, the creature protects its host by raising their resistances to invasive or harmful mystical effects, making them extremely resistant to things like mind control, magical poison or parasites, possession, harmful enchantment or curses, etc. Supposedly, once fully mature, the Symbiote will metamorphose into a new superior form depending on the types and amount of energy it has been exposed to, but they are so extremely rare that there is no trustworthy documentation about what that form might be.

More Artifacts:

Wasted Mind:A small sphere of of space age technology with a transparent surface, through which one can see a shrunken brain. While actively in one's possession, the Wasted mind acts as a mental enhancers, increasing ones intelligence, ability to think quickly, and creativity. If the user has any mind based or psychic abilities, it also enhances the power and control of them. Using the artifact for more than an hour at a time causes side effects however, Which progress in severity as usage continues, starting with mental fatigue, apathy, confusion, paranoia, and memory loss.

Glass Aegis:An armguard sporting what appears to be a small round shield made out of transparent crystal. While worn, the user is covered by a powerful invisible protective field that shields them from all forms of damage, breaking off a portion of the crystal shield in proportion to damage taken, with some regenerating over time while the user is safe. Even if damage were to occur that would instantly kill the wearer and everything around them, the shield will absorb minimum one instance of harm, completely negating harm to the wearer before breaking. However, when the shield has completely broken, the wearer is afflicted with an effect that makes the next time they are harmed even more deadly then normal, and will not fail to leave a grievous wound.

Phial of Ichor: A phial of a miraculous and legendary golden fluid, said by some to be the blood of gods. incredibly rare and coveted by demons and devils, while Angels attempt to seal or destroy it wherever they find it. By using it, one could create an artifact of nearly limitless power, brew a potion capable of performing miracles, power a single spell more potent then 100 wizards, or if ingested directly, give one a body equivalent to a demigod, IF they could somehow survive the process of drinking it.

Tombstone: A product of an unknown tinkerer from an unknown world taking the form of a small black box, shaped similarly to a coffin. the box never opens entirely, instead being used to store any number of fire arms by way of a multitude of hidden compartments and doors scattered seamlessly along its surface. Any weapons stored in the Tombstone are automatically maintained and reloaded by way of some unknown internal process, including magical weapons requiring mana, though it rejects the storing of any non-projectile weaponry. In fact, the artifact seems to be specifically built with magical guns in mind, as after withdrawing such guns from inside it, they often fire with increased efficiency, and/or fire bullets with elemental or magical effect suited to the occasion that the weapon is not otherwise capable of. In addition while carried on ones back, the Tombstone will both store and withdraw weapons directly to and from the users hand according to their intentions.

Needles of Sealing: A set of 10 inch long iron(?) ritual needles. Intended for the use of combating malicious spirits, ghosts, and demons, theyre suitable for use in combat, and seemingly seek out targets of their own volition, with the ability to effortlessly pierce the bodies of supernatural entities regardless of strength or corporeal form. Any such entity pierced will not be able to remove the needles on their own, and will be severely weakened. A magical practitioner with the prerequisite knowledge and ability could use these needles to permanently bind an entity to a place or object, force them into service, or use them to place a powerful curse, but they remain an effective weapon regardless.

Meteor's Memory: A fist sized polished chunk of a long ago fallen meteor, this artifact is somehow both warm and deadly cold to the touch at the same time. By wielding it, the user can summon a memory of the meteors past experiences, such as summoning a recreation the cold void of space, the heat of entry through the atmosphere, or the impact from when the meteor struck the planet. These recreations are not as strong as the original events, being mere memories but remain powerful and dangerous.

I don't know how anyone else fights, but Cat uses "Gun-Kata." That means guns and "a baton or stick works too." So, ideas on that front:

Nerve-Stick: Anyone struck by or striking this stick (so it can be used defensively) experiences a nerve shock, numbing their limb and slowing them down.

Grip Glove: Makes it particularly difficult to knock what you're holding out of your grip.

Bounce Gun: This mana pistol fires bullets that can bounce off walls and other surfaces.

Sorry these are all super basic.

Mushroom Stick-- a stick covered in various types of fungi, except for a spot near one end that's suitable for it to be held. When struck against the ground, summons a 3-foot-tall mushroom creature that will serve you for 30 seconds. Each one has about half the stats of the average metahuman and has an appearance based upon a random type of mushroom, though they do not retain any poisonous qualities of that mushroom type. Can summon at most one per second, so the limit is effectively 30. When struck against a living thing, causes non-poisonous mushrooms to grow on the surface of their body, causing no harm but being difficult to remove and unusually durable until separated from the target. There is no limit to the number of mushrooms grown this way, and will grow on eachother if there is no surface area remaining on the target to grow on. The first strike grows 10 mushrooms, and each strike after grows twice as many as the last. After five strikes, a target would be covered in 310 mushrooms. In practice, the bulk of the mushrooms becomes a problem sooner than weight, for they will obscure the target's sight (despite not growing directly on their eyes or eyelids) and hamper movement by getting in the way and filling clothing. Hidden aspect: striking a drum with the stick will temporarily produce a second stick in your other hand if it's empty. Playing well will make stronger mushroom troops, especially if you're playing with a full set of drums.

Devil's Pitchfork-- a trident with a head that doesn't look physically possible. The head will cut on the sides, not just the tip, so it's more like a wide-bladed spear. On mental command, hot tar sprays out of the tip. Hidden aspect: can summon a hay bale at the end of the fork, which can be tossed at an enemy, bursting into flames when it hits.

Squeaky Hammer-- an oversized toy hammer. When it strikes a target, no matter how much force is put into the blow, it is as if there was no impact at all and there is just a squeaky noise. 2 seconds later, the target takes a blow as if the hammer was a sledgehammer. Hidden aspect: if you can hit the enemy with the other side of the hammer before the first blow's timer is up, both impacts happen at once.

Vibrator Baton-- A heavy baton with a suspiciously shaped hilt. Striking an enemy causes a random piece of their equipment to vibrate harshly, possibly breaking or slipping out of their grip. Striking a specific piece of equipment on a target will induce stronger, resonant vibrations on that piece. Doesn't seem to be any way to get the baton itself to vibrate. Hidden aspect: Protects anyone holding it from vibration effects. Seems like this artifact works in the opposite way that was intended...

Duel Banjo - For as long as a person can play a cohesive tune on this musical instrument and focus on a hostile entity able to perceive the music, the entity will be forced to target all of their attention towards them (anything that has already perceived the music cannot block it out - the compulsion remains for as long as the banjo is played).

Should it then (predictably) come to blows the banjo is also unnaturally sturdy and makes for a heckin' good club.

Armlet Revelation: There are other Duel musical instruments out there - defeating someone else using one while the both of you are playing in the same fight will destroy the loser's instrument and increase the power of the winner's! It might even change its very nature...

Potioneer's Bandolier - This bandolier is stocked with a random assortment of offensive alchemical liquids and potions designed to be tossed or hurled in some way - but no amount of jostling, banging or even blunt trauma will break or set them off while they're in the Bandolier. It currently contains 10 random offensive concoctions and more can always be put in if produced by a capable chemist-type Tinker or similar.

Armlet Revelation: The Bandolier turns even stupidly dangerous liquids into randomly beneficial ones for the wearer! DRINK THEM for a temporary increase to your capabilities like POWER, STAMINA, COOL or even (rarely) HEALTH. It feels and tastes horrible to drink something like literal acid though, so don't expect to be able to keep down many potions unless your COOL is really high!

Foxing Gloves - It's said the foxkin once had the INNATE power to lay their hands on and curse people, and if so it must've been invested into these gloves. Any blow struck saps a little bit of a person's STAMINA and gives it to the wearer instead. Enough that it'll stack up to make a difference in A FEW COMBAT ROUNDS, assuming you land your hits.

Armlet Revelation: Totally not even the true purpose of these gloves, though! By their nature they will allow you to TOUCH and INTERACT with SPIRITS and other IMMATERIAL BEINGS - and they you! You could even try to TRANSFER ENERGY through the gloves to or from other MORTALS or SUPERNATURAL entities - though this is not easy and requires a lot of focus and willpower. Fun fact: The Fae love to use artifacts like these to drain strong mortals that they capture or trick!

Watch Watch - This old timepiece-like device tells you when someone is looking at you AND gives an indicator of what degree their intent towards you is hostile. The green dial signals friendly, blue dial is ambivalent and red is hostile. When being observed by multiple people, the Watch Watch informs by intensity first (i.e. if someone in the crowd really loves or hates you that'll take precedence) then by the overall mood of the watchers (general disposition of the observers overall). A notable benefit of the Watch Watch for those of rogue-ish inclination is that it can be used to know whether anyone's actually detected them or not!

Armlet Revelation: All manner of intelligent observation counts! So if you're in an empty room and someone's spying at you from the ether or through future sight, you'd know!

It remains active and transformed until the Energy used on it runs out, with significant damage to the body accelerating the process.
Last of a Set of three. Maybe something will happen when they are all active at the same time...

Didnt want to make any direct references to power scale on those, but given what they're representing, they should be pretty high up there, IMO.
Now actual weapons.

Grand Fisher's Harpoon: A Huge fishing harpoon with an incredibly sharp barbed point, and an empty hole in the back end through which a rope or line could be put. When thrown, the harpoon's force exceeds the normal power of the one throwing it, and creates a spectral rope of energy between the harpoon and the one throwing it. By tugging the line, both the harpoon and whatever it might creature or object it might be stuck in will be teleported back to the hand of the wielder.
Hidden Effect: If the harpoon is unable to fully bring an object its piercing due to it being too big, or too firmly grounded, like a building, vehicle or piece of terrain, it will actually tear a chunk out of the object its piercing from the general area around its when its recalled. This effect is fairly powerful due to seemingly part of a spatial altering power, and generally does not take into account the materials durability, unless its mystically reinforced somehow.

Tengu's Fan:A handheld metal fan of eastern design suitable for combat, similar to one might see in a video game or martial arts film. It possesses the power to generate gusts of wind of adjustable severity, or amplify the strength of already existing wind. The number of times and force with which the fan is used help determine the power and scope of the wind generated.
Hidden Effect: Secretly, the winds produced by the fan with 3 swings is capable of blowing out any type of fire and flame, regardless of size and origin, even magical ones, at least temporarily.

Black Bar: A short sword with a thick and heavy squared bar shaped blade made of dull black metal. Neither particularly sharp nor long, the blade is however exceedingly non-reactive, seeming to harmlessly deflect heat, electricity, mana, etc without changing. The blade possesses the ability to change shape according to its wielder's will, allowing it to lengthen, broaden, curve, sharpen, or even split down the middle as needed, though the extent the shape can change is limited in scope by the material of the blade, meaning it cant do more then the original mass of the blade allows for.

Swallowtail Sword:A eastern straight sword with a broad blade, with a pair of black and white feathers attached to the pommel. The sword possesses the power of flight, and can be controlled via the users will from a distance via concentration. The blade is made to be able to stand and balance on, allowing the user to fly on it like a skate/surfboard.

Magnet Carto-- A large metal bar, marked N on one end. Striking a target with this "ignites" the surface of the target with something that looks similar to fire made out of loosely spaced iron filings, but pointing towards magnetic north instead of upwards. As the "fire" spreads on the target's body, the target is pulled ever strongly towards magnetic north, with immobilizing strength if fully engulfed and pressed against a wall. A more fortunate fate than being flung through an open field only to slam against a tree... The "fire" can be extinguished with heat or a strong impact(rolling on the ground isn't quite good enough but slamming against a wall might work), or repelled by magnetic fields. Hidden aspect: charging the bar with electricity strengthens its effect, resulting in a much larger amount of "fire" applied to the target.

Strongarmor-- A gauntlet attached to plate armor that covers the arm of the wearer. Greatly increases physical strength, at the cost of obeying the whims of the intelligence inside the gauntlet. The gauntlet will force its wearer to pose after every victory holding the covered arm up and pointing to it as if it was the real victor. May force other self-centered or strength-related actions when first donned, or for a period after a victory, such as polishing and forced exercise. The gauntlet/arm also serves its purpose as armor, much tougher than steel and slowly self-repairing. Hidden aspect: part of a full set of armor! There is another arm, a chestplate with helmet attached, and leggings. Each piece has its own personality and demands, which can take up quite a lot of time in total to appease, but the might of a fully assembled suit is the stuff of legends.

The Maw-- Less a weapon and more like a monster that just happens to be docile, this long, centipede-like thing happens to be long enough to comfortably attach to an arm by curling around it. When thus attached, one of its many legs can be held in your hand, and is used as a "trigger". Squeezing the trigger causes its head to extend forwards unnaturally, open its jaws wide, and bite at edible targets up to 10 meters in front of you. Does require food or else it will refuse to attach to your arm. Don't stick your dick in it. Hidden aspect: the number of fingers you use to squeeze counts! The thumb is ignored, so four fingers is a bite, three fingers is a poisonous sting, two fingers is a headbutt, and one finger spits acid. The Maw is not attracted to metahumans, but if you encounter a centipede monster in a dungeon while using The Maw, be prepared to see a mating display.

Daemonmaw: A parasitic living sword, possibly demonic. Entirely made out of organic but no less durable materials, including muscles, bone, eyes and teeth. Once someone picks up the weapon with their bare hands, it fuses with their body, and cannot be separated until the host dies. Once assimilated, the hosts physical strength and stamina are slightly increased, but their appetite is shared with the weapon, increasing their appetite and making them need to eat more often. The weapon can also hide inside the hosts body and reemerge from any point without harm. For all intents and purposes, Daemonmaw is considered part of the hosts body. When used to injure a foe, the blade feeds one the victim, draining vitality and energy, which it shares with the host. When used to kill aa monster or demon, it can consume the victim entirely, increasing in power. If the host dies, Daemonmaw consumes their body to increase its own stats, and afterwards be ready to accept a new host.

Kitty Claws:A pair of soft, oversized costume feline paws, with retractable metal claws. Wearing the claws makes the user more catlike, increasing their natural agility and balance, and particularly enhancing their senses in the case of hearing and smell. It also somewhat influences cat-like behavior, so the wearer may start purring or pounce on moving objects or such.
Hidden Effect: IF the person wearing the claws already has feline traits, or an ablity or active items that allows transformation into an animal form, the artifact may become overcharged, producing much more powerful versions of its normal effects, but gradually transforming the wearer into a kind of lycanthropic half-feral were-cat form while the paws are worn. Simply pulling them off will revert them to normal.

Corkscrew Caestus: A pair of fine leather fighting gloves, studded with metal. Adds a fair amount of oomph to punches and allows user to alter their force by doing certain motions with their fists. By making a Wind up motion with their arm, the user can multiply the force of their next punch by the number of times the motion was made. Theres theoretically no upper limit to the number of times one can increase it, but the weapon only somewhat mitigates the increased recoil of the punch, so care has to be taken to not overwind and injure yourself.

Hop-kick Boots:A pair of high tech boots that enhance the wearer's jumping and kicking abilities. The boots respond to certain leg and foot motions by releasing jets of energy that increase the legs speed and force, allowing one to kick harder and jump higher. You can even do double jumps and change trajectory in midair via skillful use.
For some reason, aerial kick attacks are much more powerful in particular with this artifact.

Golem Core Gauntlet: A single gauntlet, prominently affixed with a large sperical stone on the back of the hand. When activated, the gauntlet draws in any plentiful nearby loose material, such as dirt, rocks, pieces of metal, wood, garbage or whatever is around, and forms a large fully articulated arm compossed of said material over the gauntleted arm. The wearer is able to easily control the arm by using their real arm, and the excess materials weight has no effect on them. The material can be dismissed via a simple command, but tends to make a bit of a mess.

This small green marble screws open and shut on a central shaft. It does not separate completely nor does it have a space inside.
The user clamps a tiny piece of themselves (a drop of blood, a fingernail clipping, a strand of hair) and their allies within bead itself with it's screwing mechanism. This identifies the user and their kin so they will not be harmed by the catastrophe brought on by the device.

When the marble is sharply impacted, (Such as being thrown against the ground) it will summon a huge swarm of supernatural locusts that will attempt to consume everything in their path. They prioritize food, magic creatures and items, and living flesh. Their magically enhanced jaws can pierce through most magical and mundane materials alike. They will not attack those identified as the user, nor what they carry But they will consume everything else in the area.

Inherently Light Aspected

A single piece of a legendary ancient artifact forged distant world that somehow managed to avert the end.

Nunitus the guild is using eye / soul SYMBOLOGY. This is probably something else.

It also pretty clearly hints at who's been keeping Cat's true powers and items hidden from view. I already had the suspicion Set might be involved, but the question is how or why. Perhaps Callan was one of her beneficiaries?

To expand on this a bit, according to Saba Hadlee, Set created Donjon's dungeon in the first place for the world to help fight off the upcoming invasions - angels, demons, faeries all. She wanted to give our world a chance.

Nunitus was - and probably still is - a front guild for the Angels, who subverted the Heroes League and replaced the un-Awakened Walpoles running it with fake angel clones. They probably CAN'T create or maintain infinite clones though, and we know from Saba that when they arrive THEY DO NOT TEND TO GET REINFORCED. As such they've probably kept the scam running and uses cat's paws extensively - their ultimate goal - as far as we know - is to keep the mortals WEAK and to KILL AWAKENED who are not light-aspected and anyone who associates with them.

Unless something has gone down since or Saba was deeply mislead - and we have no indication of this - Set would not be working WITH Nunitus. She is probably still working from the shadows to salvage things.

But even the actual soul-orbs in Will's flashback had one of these 'Nunitus'-eyes in orb form, so that's a blow against them ALWAYS being special Nunitus only things.

And, again, Set should have no reason to cooperate with Nunitus? Unless we're completely misinterpreting the picture here, what's going on with Set in general or her situation has changed drastically. And something IS shielding Cat from detection, remember.

Maybe flat eyes without orbs could represent scrying efforts or whatnot? I'm not prepared to give up on the theory that what's shown here is just three soul-eyes without their orb form, though.

Alright, im going to try to go big today and pump out another 10 more items after THIS post since things seem to be ramping up, and that should get me a little more than halfway through my Artifact list!

Tension Suit:: A body suit with armored plates over it, looks kind of similar to types seen in some live-action Wano action shows. Takes the form of a fancy belt when not in use, and is summoned by pushing a button in the center, replacing the clothes the user was previously wearing. Provides quite a bit of defensive power, but still tends to tear and expose skin when the user takes a lot of damage, though that somehow doesn't lower its defensive power, and the suit will repair itself by its next use.
The real power of the Tension suit is to increase the wearer's physical abilities in relation to their emotional state. Excitement, righteous anger, burning fighting spirit, or mortal desperation all serve to power the suit and raise the wearers abilities even further, with the higher their emotional state, the more extreme the power boost. As such, it displays only a middling effect if the user is neutral or low in emotion. Best suited for Hot-blooded types, or those who constantly find themselves in a pinch.

Sensory cloak:A finely made, but somehow non-descript grey hooded coat. People observing it would struggle to find anything good or bad to say about its appearance, and those with the power to sense artifacts and power objects would struggle to be able to definitely sense whether it is one or not. When it is worn, and the hood is pulled up with the drawstrings pulled, the wearer is rendered MORE then invisible. They become unnoticeable. Others will see the wearer without noticing or remembering them at all. If the wearer was in their way, people would move around them without noticing or wondering why. If the user speaks or makes any audible noise, others will simply tune them out. Every aspect of the wearer's physical presence will still be their but will be overlooked and forgotten as unimportant. In videos or photographs the user will appear to fade almost completely into the background, or blurry and just out of frame. Only physical contact with the wearer can break the effect. A incredibly potent but subtle artifact.

Beholder Shield:A metal plated wooden tower shield, decorated with almost a dozen large lifelike eyes on the front side. The wielder of this shield can see through the back side of the shield as it is held up, as if the shield were transparent. When the front of the shield is struck, it causes one of the eyes to focus on the striker at random, and release a flash of light. Those caught in the flash are subjected to a negative status effect depending on which eye it was, including: Paralysis, gradual petrification, confusion, poisoning, uncontrollable levitation, forced short range teleportation, Weakened defense or stability, and a few other random effects.
Hidden Effect: Looking through the back side of the shield protects the wielder from all kinds of "on sight" or vision based effects, as well as ones based on light or illusions.

Slick Shield: A large circular shield with a rounded shape, its outer surface is so smooth and slippery as to almost have negative friction. It is impossible to grip or adhere to the front side of the shield and most attacks will simply slide off before properly damaging it. Makes it somewhat difficult to handle and store, though the back side is normal and has handles so the wielder can properly utilize it. One can move quickly by placing it against the ground and riding on it, though control and stopping may be an issue without assistance, or sling it across the floor like a hockey puck where it will gain considerable speed and force, though again, stopping it can be a problem.

Blessed Bell Hammer: A long rod with a large metal bell at the end, intended for use as a striking weapon. The bell lacks a clapper, and is rung by striking it against an enemy or surface. The deep peals of the ringing bell cleanse the area of negative energy and effects, can lift curses, and deal damage over time to "Dark" aspect enemies. The Bell itself is considerably heavy and sturdy, making it an effective bludgeon.
Hidden Effect: The Bell was originally intended as deterrent for Demons and Evil Spirits. They absolutely cannot stand being around the sound of it, and any within hearing distance when it is struck are compelled by an overwhelming urge to get as far away from it as possible.

Security Staff: A lightweight metal fighting staff, with weighted caps at each end colored in red and blue. Wielding it grants the user a preemptive "Danger Sense", alerting them whenever an imminent danger approaches them or an attacker or projectile enters into their immediate vicinity. This alarm indicates the direction and proximity of the danger, and is more severe the higher the threat to their life it is. The area the sense covers generally encompasses a sphere centered on the wielder extending in all direction, extending as far at the length of the staff held with at full arm extension.
Hidden Effect: When detecting a danger that will absolutely immediately kill the user if not avoided(like a bullet to the brain or being crushed by a massive flying boulder or freak meteor), the Staff gives a slight precognitive vision of the event and massively increases the wielders reflex and reaction time in an attempt to save them, lasting for about a second. This can be extremely mentally and physically taxing, especially if it happens multiple times in succession.

Cursing Cane:An arm length black cane, topped with a realistic human skull. Just the appearance alone gives one a bad feeling. When pointed at a target or targets, the skull begins swearing continuously at them, using the foulest language imaginable. As long as the skull continues speaking, the target and area around them is afflicted by a mild curse, slightly lowering ability levels, sapping strength and vitality, and just generally making them feel pretty awful. Not being able to hear the skulls cursing somewhat mitigates the effects, and the curse itself is visible as a fine dark haze around the target. The effect fades fairly quickly once the target is no longer being sworn at by the skull.

Sugar Cane:: A vaguely crook shaped cane, colored white, with red stripes. Striking an enemy with it covers an area around the strike in a hard and surprisingly tough candy coating, making the area hard to move. Striking a non living surface twice quickly creates an extremely sticky and sugary gum-like substance that one can easily become stuck in. Both substance dissolve fairly quickly in water. Attracts bugs.
Hidden Effect: Both substances produced are safe to eat, but bad for your teeth. Can give a temporary boost to speed when eaten as well a bit of a adrenaline rush, but causes a negative crash when the effect ends and causes headaches.

I feel like these ones better straddle the line between being useful/powerful artifacts and being funny or interesting.

B-Well Bracelet:A plastic bracelet like a child might wear, featuring a large heart with the text 'B-Well!' printed on it in cutesy letters. Its function is simple but highly sought after: It maintains the wearer's health, in the same way that a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a stable sleep schedule would, regardless of their actual lifestyle. In this way, even a hard partyer, or someone with an extremely stressful lifestyle can maintain not just a relatively healthy body, but be more stable mental state as well. It also has some minor effect on the immune system as well, but only to the level of mitigating the negative effects of alcohol or preventing cold, flu and allergies.
Hidden Effect: The health maintaining effects of the Bracelet actually stack with actually putting in effort to be healthy and exercise, making it easier and faster to improve the bodies condition, build muscle and stamina and such over time while it is worn.

Gemini Amulet(s): A blue gemstone amulet depicting two joined figures. Its splits into two when activated, and must be given to someone who the wearer has above a certain level of trust and familiarity with. When both amulets are worn, Any damage either wearer takes is shared by the two, but the amount each takes is also halved. In addition, any healing or positive effects affecting either one that is not caused by another artifact on their person is also shared between the two, but is NOT halved. Both the wearers can sense the general location of the other as long as they both wear the amulets, as well as know the others basic condition.
Hidden Effect: While Awakened abilities are not shared by those wearing the amulet, any Inherent Abilities with passive or status based effects will be.

Dragun's Mouth: A surprisingly opulent looking weapon similar to a short-barreled shotgun, carved and embellished in gold with pieces that give the appearance of a dragon, with the dragon's mouth overlapping the mouth of the gun. Instead of bullets or mana, Each pull of the trigger releases a roaring blast of immensely powerful and incredibly high temperature mystical flame, worthy of being called dragons breath. The weapon does not use ammunition and has its own internal energy supply that slowly refills over time, so it cannot be used continuously for long periods of time.
Hidden Effect: It is not only fire that this weapon can shoot. By grasping the dragon's mouth by the bottom and pulling back, one can cycle through a number of elemental shots, indicated by the dragon's eyes changing color. In addition to flames, it can fire chilling blasts of freezing vapor, thundering bolts of lightning, howling blasts of super compressed air, or caustic and toxic sprays of acid.

Deadeye's Revolvers:Two powerful paired revolvers, each with a painted engraving of an eye on the grip. The eye on one of the guns is scratched out. The guns do not function if separated. The revolver with the intact eye is unnaturally accurate, And always seems to hit exactly where you aim it, regardless of external factors. The revolver with the scratched eye on the other hand is almost hilariously inaccurate, with the trajectory varying wildly between shots, though the bullets it fires seem much more powerful and tend to ricochet a lot...
Hidden Effect: If the revolvers are used in tandem, firing first the open eye then the scratched eye in sequence, it invalidates the scratched eyes inaccuracy, as when the intact eye revolver is fired first, the scratched eye revolver will ALWAYS hit the same target as the other gun, even if it has to go through multiple objects and ricochet multiple times to do so.

Chimeric Magnum:A large and powerful Mana handgun, seemingly composed of the parts of many different monsters, and features a multitude of scales, horns and teeth. Instead of recharging normally, it can be "fed" monster body parts, which it will turn into mana bullets with attributes somehow similar to the monster they came from, like faster flying bullets from fast monsters, harder hitting slugs from physically powerful monsters, better penetration from high defense monsters, etc.
Hidden Effect: If a monster Core is fed to the Magnum instead, There is a high percentage chance the gun can drastically mutate, permanently gaining new physical features and abilities, firing modes, or even completely different gun types it can shift between. This chance is separate for each type of upgrade, but the likelihood that multiple upgrades or higher level ones will happen increases with the power of core used. Feeding cores also PERMANANTLY grants the gun the ability to use bullets of an enhanced type like those that feeding monster parts temporarily give, as well as stronger types that they cannot, such as elemental bullets or physical spikes or poisonous fangs.

Omega Blaster:An arm mounted energy cannon, capable of firing powerful charged blasts or quick multi shot bursts. Its main advantage is its huge capacity for upgrades and customization. A skilled tinker could add any number of minor functions and tweaks to this weapon given the right materials. Its somewhat similar to an inter-spatial item in that it is able to store an inordinate amount of additional parts and pieces as long as they are integrated into it.
Hidden Effect: By sacrificing other artifacts, the Omega Blaster is able to integrate an altered version of that artifacts ability into itself, at the cost of permanently destroying the artifact. The ability gained is rarely 100% the same as the previous one, and is usually a lesser or similarly related version of it, like an artifact with the ability to freeze water giving the ability to shoot ice shards for example. For some reason artifacts gained through combat have the highest chance of successfully integrating.

Magic Rifle /Merlin's Magic Caster:A Rifle type mana gun, made primarily of beautifully etched and carved wood, and covered in esoteric runes.
Both the name and function of this weapon have been heavily and cleverly hidden, likely by its creator and will likely appear differently depending on the level of the appraiser. In fact, it is not a mana gun at all, and is in fact closer to a combined wand and wizard's staff with the form of a rifle. The projectiles it fires that appear to be mana are actually the Magic Bullet spell, which is visually similar but much more lethal, and gives the caster the ability to somewhat control the path of the bullet. The body of the rifle itself is an great conduit for spell casters, increasing general magic ability, and allowing a caster to fire any ranged spell they are capable of through the rifle as a bullet with the same effects, greatly increasing the spells range, power and efficiency.

Phantom Dagger:A curved dagger with an almost transparent cloudy white blade. While in hand, both the blade and the wielder have the ability to phase through a few inches of solid matter. By properly manipulating the blade, this can allow the user to bypass armor with the blade and damage an enemies body directly, or pass through locked objects and locations.
Hidden: Part of the Phantom Spy set with the Phantom Derringer.

Phantom Derringer: A palm sized mana gun, small enough to fit in your sleeve, made with cloudy white, almost transparent metal. Can only shoot two bullets before needing to reload, and the range is relatively shorter then most guns, but they have strong penetrative power, and are completely invisible. While wielding this weapon, the image of the user and the weapon itself become somewhat hazy and hard to focus on.
Hidden Effect: Part of the Phantom Spy set with the Phantom Dagger. While both weapons are equipped, the abilities of both weapons are strengthened, and the user is able to take on a ghostly phantom state, with the power to levitate, pass through larger amounts of solid matter, and turn into a hazy mist.

Cannon Spike Volleyball:A competition standard volleyball, colored in green and yellow. It is tougher and denser then common volleyballs, and can do a small amount of damage if thrown at an enemy. By throwing it high and then spiking it however, the ball massively gains impact force and speed as well as density, becoming equivalent to a fired cannonball or falling meteor, and causes a large explosion on impact. By using teamwork and passing it between multiple people before spiking, the resulting spike multiplies even further in power.

Split-Second Saber:A curved sword, so sharp it seems like it can even cut time. The decoration affixed to the hilt resembles an old fashioned clock face.
By slashing multiple times with the blade in succession, the user can compress time, causing all the slashes to seemingly occur all within the same moment. The amount of time compressed has a limit, but depending on the users own speed and skill, a higher number of attacks can all be made at once , making the user seem like they're moving at super speed.
Hidden Effect: By manipulating the hands on the saber's clock face, and then slashing empty space, the wielder can slow down or quicken time for themselves, for the equivalent of at most 5 seconds for themselves, lengthening it to double that time, or making it pass twice as fast.

A possibility I've been thinking about is that if Callan's soul is in that ring, it's reason to believe he had connections and knew alot about spirits. Maybe he gave Max his spirit, and maybe Isabella as well... maybe Callan was the person Isabella saw on her way to the estate on the day of the fire, which could mean he was going to be a heroes league representative of the party, but never showed up. Cat did find it weird that there wasn't someone from the heroes league at Max's awakening party when he read the news article, and it would make most sense for Callan to attend it.

I don't want to believe that he played a part on starting the fire, but it's a possibility if I go down this line of thinking.

Fidget Snowflake
A tiny snowflake stuck in a glass globe (with a flat ceramic base) with a strange gear-driven contraption in the middle. The mechanics are intentionally convoluted and the snowflake is prone to falling off any sprockets the user manipulates to latch it on. As the snowflake spins relative to the globe, a small snow-hurricane forms in an aura a radius away from the globe in the direction and velocity of the snowflake.
While the snowflake is magically impervious to most physical forces, it is as susceptible to heat as any other snowflake and will melt if it is taken out of its globe. Any attempts to telekinetically spin the snowflake are, to say the least, hard. The user has to crank the turn-key at the bottom of the globe's base and move the globe so that the snowflake gets the most spin. This is an intelligence+reflexes=>Ice Magic item.

Ecto-Milk
A strange parasitic substance that temporarily causes users to lactate more of itself. Spirits that make contact with the milk gain a temporary physical form as a gelatinous creature. There are multiple unlisted side-effects with prolonged use from both drinkers and spirits.

Window to Adoption
A shuttered window that, when opened, targets a random adolescent entity in any space with low magical content and an environment otherwise similar to the user's side. Matter from the user's side cannot pass through the gateway, while matter from the target side will temporarily be able to pass through the gateway and back.

Whip of trauma summon
A cat-of-nine-tails whip. Causes physical manifestations of target's stress-causing psychological issues to appear as fake spirits and repeat the exact circumstances of their existence to the best of the target's subconscious memory. Will cause temporary insanity in the target due to a missing component of their psyche. [This section has been damaged]

Rezan Blood Forge
This strange gigantic apparatus allows for the cross-breeding of animals of different species. As a negative, the user must conceive the target child within the device to use properly. Further copulation with other species (of any gender, so long as genetic material is injected within the creation space of the fetus) will alter the genetic structure of the fetus while minimizing fatal genetic sequences. This device works so long as the fetus is within the creation space of the parent.
The device has the detriment of combining any parasites that happen to copulate within the womb with the fetus. Infants and mothers will not be protected from any toxins that either of them produce as a result of differing genetic structures.

Lust Refrigerator

This is a giant jar with a steel butcher's hook attached to the lid. When a target is impaled on the hook, placed in the jar, and heated, they will melt non-lethally to the base of the jar. Entities may then restructure the target's gelatinous state in a physical mold, causing them to solidify as an ideal version of themselves based on the mold.

You Know You Wanna Jerky
A tub of jerky that instinctively causes any being with canine DNA to develop an immediate addiction when they smell it. Addiction may only be cured by depleting the entire tub of jerky. The tub may be refilled by placing any dead corpse inside the tub.

Wanted to suggest some coolsumables.

Muse-Sick-All - A bootleg cassette tape that when played releases a magical tune filling all nearby with the desire to participate in a dance battle. Acts that lean into this (singing, dancing, rhyming, rapping) will become easier, while anyone going against the flow will have to fight just to keep moving out of tune. The duration of the song tends to be for a particular battle or conflict - though it's possible for the Muse-Sick-All to last longer if the intensity of the encounter keeps escalating towards a bigger crescendo event.

DEA: When the effect is over the cassette will have recorded the event in a neatly-edited entirety - even video footage can be retrieved. The artifact itself will become inert, but originals tend to be valued by certain COLLECTORS. Has a SMALL chance of spawning a "VOLUME 2" cassette possessing similar effects.

Secondhand Sword - An old wooden training blade owned by someone who once MADE A DIFFERENCE. Holding this you feel instinctively that you can JUST ONCE - for a single second - tap into that peerless, flawless moment and have all the power of a true hero, before the blade's fragile material form breaks.

DEA: Would let you DUNK ON a Demon Count or something like a BEHEMOTH. Could probably use this in less cool ways as well, but why'd you wanna?

Court Summons - A slip of paper that can be used to summon an ephemeral court of law to resolve a matter of contention between the owner of the Court Summons and another person (or a 'legal faction' and their representative). Both sides will get to present their arguments without undue disruption, though cross-examination and the calling of witnesses may be permitted (as long as this does not unduly waste the court's time).

The court is on no-one's side initially and it'll be up to the parties to present their arguments in a compelling manner. The loser will have to pay whatever the court rules in terms of fines and penalties or even magical bindings. No death penalty can or will be set, whatever the point of contention.

DEA: Refusal of the court's judgement or attempting to exit before proceedings are done will give leave for the Spirits that compose the Court to punish the loser at their own discretion.

Demonic Dialyzer - A wrist device that sticks a needle into your veins and can filter CORRUPTION from one's body. The resultant CORRUPTION CAPSULES produced by the device tend to be PRIZED by DEMONS.

DEA: This device is actually stuck in reverse - if fixed by a TINKER it can be set to INFUSE CORRUPTION CAPSULES - or other substances - into the body instead. INFUSING CORRUPTION CAPSULES has a CHANCE of turning the user into a Demon! There is also a small chance of turning into a MONSTER instead. Demons using this device can get a little stronger for each CORRUPTION CAPSULE infused. Infusion of a single capsule takes a day - use of non-standard substances may take longer and have unanticipated effects - though rarely lethal ones.

The Bartender

A small pocket whisky flask engraved with fine, overlapping, almost fractal layers of bizarre runes.

While it is on ones person, they can at any time desire to summon the bartender.
Upon doing so, the surrounding area will be "adjusted" to become a stocked and functioning bar.
The Bar, the drinks, and the bartender themselves are randomized each use, and often include themes from the past, future, and other worlds entirely. The themes often but not always take inspiration from the surroundings. Though the bartenders appearance may be randomized, They are always hospitable and always remember repeat "Customers".

The bartender is a complex spiritual construct. It appears sentient, but it often comes off as uncanny. The bartender can make any drink, provided you have the booze. Otherwise you'll be stuck with the bartenders eccentric and randomized selection. The bartenders drinks grant various temporary boons when consumed.
The bartender always comes armed with an a mana firing projectile weapon appropriate for it's theme, and will defend it's customers. It is however visible and vulnerable to all, unlike a normal spirit, and is actually fairly delicate.

The Bartender and Bar can be summoned once per day, but it can remain in one place indefinitely, so long as the bartender stays alive.
Alternatively, the flask can be physically opened by "Repeat customers", which will always summon JUST the bartender, assuming they haven't been killed recently or summoned the bar that day. In this state the Bartender will attempt to follow any orders given to it by the summoner, but it's not too good at anything besides bartending, hospitality, and manual labor.
Allowing the bartender to die will disable the item for 24-72 hours.

This item was somehow stolen from the demon realm. Someone wants it back.

Decided to make some new useful items

Miser's Purse: A large red and gold coin purse with a toothed clasp. It functions as an infinite dimensional storage, but only accepts currency, or items that can be converted or used as currency, like gold and gems. Provides a increasing stat boost to the owner that scales with the amount of wealth stored inside it. The only issue is that the purse HATES having money taken out of it, and will grow arms and bite and claw anytime someone attempts to make a withdrawal in an attempt to discourage them. This means it must beaten into submission EVERY TIME you attempt to use money stored in the purse, though on the plus side, no one is likely to steal from you either.

Radical Shades: A pair of high quality and futuristic looking wraparound sunglasses. Wearing them filters out exactly the right amount of light to not hinder your vision, and they make you look and feel very COOL.
Hidden Effect: Pressing a switch on the bridge of the glasses switches between different vision modes, like night vision, Infrared, even a minor form of X-ray vision. The last setting on the glasses is Laser Vision that lets the glasses fire lasers. They aren't as strong as a dedicated laser weapon, but they can still be useful.

Luciferous Ring:An ostentatious and incredibly reflective full-finger ring, with large and equally reflective clear gemstones. Its so reflective in fact that it only takes a small amount of light and the right angles to produce blinding flashes by bouncing light off it. It raises the wearer's resistance to Light based magic.
Hidden Effect: It's not only Magic, the ring raises the wearer's resistance towards all types of Light aspect abilities, and can rarely reflect them back towards the user. Angels hate the ring for some reason.

Somnia Blanket: And extremely soft and comfy blue blanket. Placing the blanket over ones body triggers intense drowsiness, and sleeping under it promises restful sleep and pleasant dreams.
Hidden Effect: Covering someone's head with the blanket will instantly put that person to sleep, though the effect does not KEEP them asleep should something happen to wake them up.

SUPER BUDDY BLASTERS!

A mass-produced magic children's game from a world that fought the end in a battle of attrition for centuries. It has seen many worlds and has passed through countless hands. It's red spider web-cracked plastic surface is faded, glued, and taped together, and what are clearly non original parts are poking haphazardly out of two sides. A dimple in the the center is surrounded by torn and faded decal of children shooting bolts out of their fingers at each other, along with the SUPER BUDDY BLASTERS! logo. A tear in the decal reveals this to be a restoration of an even older decal.

This item allows an imprinted user to shoot mana bolts by doing a "Finger Guns" gesture and making a noise. Imprinting is done by touching the dimple and making your chosen "Firing Noise" (Think Pew Pew, Bang!, or something similar). Up to five users can be imprinted at a time. The item also keeps a running "score", that imprinted users can see above other imprinted users heads.

The Item has been modified from it's original purpose as a game in the following ways:

The bolts are now potentially lethal, each bolt about the average strength of modern mana-pistols
Score no longer increases when an imprinted user hits another, but instead increases when something is killed.
"Transmission distance" has been increased
A dial is present with 3 options.
[Single fire]-(5), [Rapid Fire]-(2), [Charge Bolt]-(1)
The numbers next to the settings are the maximum number of people that should be imprinted under each setting.

The item is is heavily bodged-up inside and out with work done from tinkers across many worlds.
Though this makes it fairly delicate, it's a veritable inter-dimensional time capsule of secrets that any tinker would love crack open.
In addition to what they might learn, the hodgepodge of repairs and modifications offer MANY clues on it's inner workings. A tinker would be able to reverse engineer and modify this much faster than most artifacts.

Artifact idea:

Lotus flower of rebirth

A consumable artifact that wilts upon activation. if a person who is in possession of this lotus flower dies, they will be reincarnated in the next life with a random chance of them being in a different world where the next demon war will take place, or in the same world back to the past to the time they were born.
The user will be reborn with all their stats, knowledge of the life they had before death, and all awakened powers intact upon rebirth. Has a 50% chance of being reborn with the same appearance, same gender and as the same species the user had previously upon birth, with the other 50% chance of being born with a completely new appearance, gender, and high possibility as a different species.

If you have a spirit contracted with you when you die, or their spirit dies before you, they will also have their stats, power, and knowledge transferred to the next life with a 50% chance of having the same appearance, same gender, and as the same species they were previously on rebirth, and another 50% chance of being born with a different appearance, different gender, and as a different species. They will be reborn close to the same timespan as the user's birth within the span of 10 years.

Wilted Lotus flower of rebirth

The Lotus Flower of Rebirth becomes the Wilted Lotus Flower of Rebirth after it activates upon a person's death. It contains the awakened power(s) of the deceased person who had it last. when used, you'll gain the deceased person's awakened power. If the deceased person had multiple powers, you get only one of those powers at random. vanishes after use. Spirits are excluded as a possible power. If the user had no awakened power, it will instead give an awakened power that the deceased was destined to have if they ever were awakened.

More Rings, because why not.

Compressor Ring:A sliver ring with a blue stone bearing a swirling white pattern. The ring acts as a storage for Energy and Mana, compressing it to a higher power and density, and increasing the amount that can be stored. When energy is withdrawn from the ring, it is compressed, and can exceed the maximum total the wearer can hold by half. If a spell or ability is cast using the mana/energy of the ring exclusively, the spell itself will be compressed, becoming smaller, or affecting a smaller are, but with increased power.


This one is actually just a converted effect from an idea I had for an Awakened Ability to give Cannie, but thats not happening. It'd probably end up costing too much anyway
Micro Dynamo Ring:A rough metal ring seemingly made out of machinery parts. It constantly hums with power. The Dynamo ring absorbs and stores electricity on contact, and insulates the wearer from its harmful effects. Simply touching the ring to a source of electricity is enough to raw from it, such as a power outlet, or an active electronic device. The electricity in the ring can be released as a blast.
Hidden Effect: Electricity in the ring can alternately be used instead to empower the wearer's muscles, increasing their STRENGTH and/or SPEED, to a degree dependent on the amount of electricity spent.

Apprentice Ring: Silver Ring with 5 small gemstones of different colors. Once per day, one of the gemstones will begin to glow, and the wearer will be enabled to cast one random entry level spell from an existing discipline, using their own mana/Energy as long as they have the capability of using mana. The only limits on how many times the spell can be cast is the wearer's mana. The ring resets at midnight, with another gemstone lighting up, and a new random spell of a different discipline.
Hidden Effect: These rings were rarely made to educate apprentice spellcasters, who could otherwise not learn from tomes or lectures. each gemstone corresponds to a specific school of magic, such as conjuring, elemental magic, etc. If one pays attention and can figure out the correct school and practice enough with it, they can acclimatize to it, and learn to cast the spells taught by the ring permanently.

Invincibility Ring: An unadorned rounded gold ring with a misleading name. It does not make its wearer invincible. Instead, when energy is provided, it makes only the hand wearing the ring invincible. Can still be used as a method of defense or attack, as an invincible fist isnt anything to scoff at, but its uses are limited if the wearer does not have the strength and skill to back it up.

If we do give the book to Nicky, here is a power I propose for a close combat fighter like Cannie:

Explosive impact:
-When the user uses kinetic energy from any of their body parts, they can cast power energy to cause an explosion upon impact on a target. The more energy used, and the more force the user puts on the body part(s), the stronger and larger the explosion is.
-explosions and loud noises does not cause damage to the user.

Basically, exploding punches and kicks, and even explosive full body tackles! This will work so well with Cannie's fighting style!

If we're talking both lightning and speed powers then wouldn't something like Electrical Embodiment work.
Pretty much the ability to produce electricity from your body and turning yourself into electricity, which would suit lightning powers and speed respectively. You could turn into electricity and move as fast as lightning from point A to point B, although it could have downsides like if the air isn't humid enough you can't move freely and instead have to focus on a piece of metal to move to. Also, this power would allow you to essentially have taser fists so you can punch people and give them an electric shock. And at later levels, once the user becomes more skilled they can arc electricity out from their body, essentially shooting lightning bolts at people.
While this option would be a detriment to range, I think it's a better option because Cannie is a close quarters fighter and not a ranged one, so a power where you can shoot lighting from a distance wouldn't work with her.
This could also sort of act as an explosive impact if you use an electrical discharge of some sort.
Also, this power could be used as a short range EMP later on, which could help if we ever fight against robots or something.

Part of it is that the Definitely-Not-Solo-Leveling world has really high overarching stakes, so our personal stakes also need to be really high to give our smaller actions weight.
...But also this most recent scene is just extremely down to earth. Cannie acts closer to a real life person than I think any other character in the story has, so far. I'd say it's a safe bet to expect any scene with Cannie to get very heavy or very nuanced at any time.

About 40% is planned, and 60% is improv, which I SUPER like because it keeps me on my toes.

The 40% is specific events and characters coming at specific times, the history of the world, and locations of stuff. Sometimes it gets changed around and new stuff is added when I improvise from a cool suggestion, but for the most part I haven’t added too much new stuff (other than artifacts) for like half a thread.

Not a lot was planned before about halfway through Thread 1, I was just gonna make something light where you mess with people around town with a superpower, then you guys got really invested in the estate fire and I started planning stuff out from there. It was around that time that I set up two dungeons in LYST, one of which you don’t know about yet, the other of which you found out. Both are tutorial dungeons, but in different ways.

It was also around that time that I really solidifed the characters and their motivations. Cannie was kind of up there for a while but the more I wrote up about Nunitus, the more concrete she became. I also like stories where things aren’t easy on the protagonist and you can just do stuff easy. One thing that frustrates me about stuff like Solo Leveling (no matter how much I think its fucking awesome) is that the protagonist ends up being like, stress? Nah, trauma from being alone for so long fighting monsters? Nah. Though if you want a more direct inspiration for Awakened and Dungeons and Demons, go read “DUNGEON HUNTER” I snagged some names and some ideas but warped the rest into my own really.

And like, half the time I expected y’all to go one direction but then you decided to linger or focus on one character more so you learned more about their backstory and their “Path” so to speak. The info you get is really based off of the general vibe and direction the suggesters post. The more persuasive or the more often something is said the more likely it’ll be a focus of the next update.

So to be more specific, you really have been navigating minefields and ended up at a pretty specific path. There were also paths for going solo and becoming OP, just getting one partner, there are also tons of paths you haven’t really explored, but after the MONDAY day in CATALYST, the time scaling will become different and more persona-like (otherwise CATALYST will never end lmao). Your ARCANE CATALYST power will grow based off of AP and story beats and will move in a direction based off of your actions. So if you do more team and support stuff, it’ll focus more on that. That’s how the power system is set up for all the powers really.

As for Cannie. Well, you failed some rolls and revealed info too quick. Sometimes people get mad, people with trauma lash out hypocritically, and sometimes it gets you to think, other times you dismiss it, you could have rolled any way with that info, but I like the way it ended up going. I’m kinda new to writing in this level of detail, but I’m really enjoying it, and I think DRAMA and STRESS can lead to interesting character development. I really liked writing up this segment, so I look forward to how you handle the CANNIE problem cause it’s an important one I think, and who else you decide to take dungeon diving, Combat’s gonna be different for multiple characters so get ready!

And a small note about combat. You’ll get to fully control Cat’s growth direction and weapon focus, but will only really get to control gear for other allies (and their combat actions). But the higher your BOND with an ally, the more you can control about them. BONDS are gonna become a big thing and you’ll get a chart once the party is formed showing you how everyone feels about the other. And to address one big question a suggestor had. The MAXIMUM amount of ARBITRARY deaths will probably be 0-1. And only if you do something REALLY REALLY STUPID. I want deaths to feel earned so to speak, and yeah some unfair stuff might happen, but it won’t be arbitrary.

Artifact idea time:

Friendship bracelets of bonding

Comes in a set of two. When two people wear this bracelet, certain stats are combined and shared between the two depending on the level of friendship the two people have.

If the two people are NEUTRAL, or worse, they only share the same combined hit points. (since they share the same HP, if one person were to lose HP, the other person will share the pain. If one person loses all their combined HP and die, the other person will die too.

If the two people are FRIENDS, they share HP and the same effects from any artifacts they are wearing (so if one person has the demon eye artifact for example, the other person shares the same effect as the person wearing it)

If the two people are GOOD FRIENDS, they share combined HP, artifact effects, and share combined STAMINA

if the two people are GREAT FRIENDS, they share combined HP, artifact effects, share combined STAMINA, and share any other stats combined (like cool stats and intelligence and strength for example)

if the two people are BEST FRIENDS, They share combined HP, artifact effects, combined STAMINA, all other combined stats, and share the same AWAKENED abilities and energies for as long as they wear the braclets. (Spirits do not count)

if the two people are ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED, They share everything listed above, plus they gain a new AWAKENED ability for as long as they both wear the braclets, and their level of friendship is ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED: ESSENCE OF COMPANIONSHIP

ESSENCE OF COMPANIONSHIP:
An awakened ability shared between two people and only available when two people wear the friendship bracelets of bonding, and the two are romantically involved.

Unleashes an ultimate move that the two people uses at the same time which comes from both their souls, combines, and drains an enemy of alot of their hit points, stamina, and energy with a very powerful attack, and gives them to the two partners.
Super effective against bosses and minibosses
Can only be used once per day.
Cannot be upgraded.
Does not have an achievement store
Can still give achievement points to both people

I feel if there is one artifact that needs to be broken or overpowered, it would have to be one that involves an ankh (like the one on Cat's tattoo, maybe forshadowing it's appearance.)

Maybe as an endgame artifact or something that only activates when the demon war begins. Or if it can be gotten early on, it would only be OP to the same level as the Demon Eye Amulet and something valuable for Cat to keep throughout the whole quest.

As far as the writing goes, it's been perfectly believable so far, and as far as im concerned, making the reader feel SOME kind of emotion for the characters is the goal, even if they aren't happy with them. Thats just good writing.

Anyway, since the subjects come up, Im going to start trying out endgame/ High level artifacts Ad sprinkling them into my suggestions, just in case they might come in useful, and also so I can get a better grip on what high level actually is. I guess
Meteor's Memory that I posted before might qualify if you took off the weakened power of the phenomena it conjures, and The Prime Material Recycler just for its utility, but iunno. I spend probably too much time thinking of this stuff.

That sounds like a good idea, also, as a headsup, in the upcoming thread there will be 2 planned combat based stories. One where you control 4 characters but you get to suggest all the cool artifacts they have equipped and get to use, and one where you control a single character and combat is more like the duel with cannie, but you'll also get to pick the artifacts for that fight (but only low ranking artifacts will be allowed). So feel free to suggest more, or when it comes up again, resuggest an old artifact, or come up with a new one!

I'm planning on starting the new thread today or tomorrow, depends on how long this poker night update takes me to draw. And the update pace will be a bit slower, being between 1/2 days per update because there's going to be a lot more collaboration going on with other questors and they might not be able to keep up with my rediculous pace.

But on the off days I dont update CATALYST im planning on running a new quest. It's gonna be a life sim where you start off reincarnating and then each update will be a year in their life until the general theme/plot gets decided. So for that one expect to go through till their 18-35ish before plot happens, it really depends on what you suggestors do, and if you chose to just have the protagonist live a normal life, then it might just be a pretty simple quest, idk yet, it's another experimental thing I wanna do.

Something a little different here, messing around with ideas for biological artifacts. Also Rex's existence inspired one...
Assassin Drone:Seemingly the product of extensive scientific modification as well as magical and/or artifact interference during development, this disposable artifact takes the form initially of a finger length larva egg pod. With the application of a drop of the users blood and a tiny bit of energy, the pod will dissolve, birthing a single insect that will rapidly grow to adulthood within a few minutes. The Assassin Drone has superficial similarities to both wasps and ants, with wings and a stinger, and overdeveloped mandible jaws. The Drone does not eat, sleep, or do much of anything without its masters orders, and exists solely for one purpose: The swift and efficient murder of the master's enemies, a killing machine in insectoid form. They are abnormally strong and tough for their size, easily able to bite through steel fences or burrow through concrete with their legs and jaws alone. They can fly silently, and at speeds that exceed most high end vehicles. Their stings are horrifically toxic, and the stingers themselves can extend up to 5 inches and punch through sheet metal, leaving wounds similar to daggers. The drones can be directed to stalk a target via picture or a sample of biological material, and will follow and attempt to kill the target at every opportunity. Luckily, the Assassin Drone's lifespan is also very short, living only for 7 days after birth from their pods.
The fact that someone may have mass produced these monstrous things inspires dread.

Arsenal Plant sapling: A strange potted tree sapling, seems similar superficially to a palm, but defies categorization. Its unknown whether its origins are from another world, or due to some kind of extensive modification.
Once planted, the tree grows quickly, and every part produced by the mature plant is a natural weapon. The large fallen leaves harden, and become durable and sharp as metal blades, with the stems becoming natural handles. The branches grow points from absorbed sediments that make them natural spears and arrows. The nuts the tree produces combust when thrown, and can be used as incendiary weapons. The bark can easily be made into armor. Other mutations have been observed, and its likely that what the plant produces varies based upon the qualities and environment of where its planted.
The plant does not reproduce naturally, but cuttings can be used to grow more. The weapons it produces are of a quality suitable to be used as is, but when professionally processed become much higher quality, or even artifact quality if proper methods are used, and they are easily empowered by abilities or energy. Its perfect if you need to arm a large number of kin long term.

Caaaard Gaaaames

Gambler's Deck:A seemingly normal deck box full of 54 seemingly normal playing cards, using the old suits of Cups, Coins, Clubs and Swords. The cards can be used as normal, but will disappear if not in a persons possession or if damaged, and will reappear in the deck box after a few minutes.
When a single card is drawn from the deck at random and thrown, they become formidable magic weapons, flying fast and accurately, with each card having a specific ability based on the suit and of a strength based on the rank of the card, with Ace being the highest and most powerful.
Swords cards cut like blades, with the sharpness and severity based on the rank, with the king and ace swords having cutting power equivalent to high level artifact swords.
Clubs cards hit with significant blunt force, with the higher rank cards hitting with the equivalence of much larger and heavier objects, from boulders, two trucks to falling buildings.
Cups cards deal no physical damage. Instead, when they make contact with a target, they drain a small percentage of their health and vitality and transfer it to the wielder, the ace card capping out at around 50 percent of the targets current health.
Coins cards do no damage on contact, instead causing an influx of energy to suffuse the target, which quickly explodes out of it, the intensity of the light and size of the explosion increasing with higher cards.
The two Joker cards in the deck are unique. The Black Joker has a low chance of instantly killing a target it makes contact with. The Red Joker swaps all the wielders current injuries onto the target, healing the user and transferring all their wounds to the target.
Cards can only be drawn from the deck randomly, and attempting to pick and choose causes them to not function.

I considered adding a function for playing combinations of cards, but I feel like this is already pretty complicated for a single artifact.



Battle Monsters Deck:Deck of collectible cards from a strange world where seemingly everything revolved around a children's card battling game. Consists of a deck box, and a deck of 30 cards, depicting fantastical creatures of varying strength and powers. By using the cards, a physical projection of the depicted creature can be summoned to fight on the user's behalf, though only a handful of the cards can be drawn from the deck at once, and only a few creatures can be summoned simultaneously. When a summoned creature is defeated, its corresponding card is permanently destroyed. However, As long as the deck box remains in the user's possession, occasionally when a monster or enemy is defeated, a new card can be found from them.

This one is silly, and you could probably just make an entire awakened/inherent ability out of it, but lol why not.

Drop of Void: a tiny vial containing an inky black liquid. An extremely deadly substance, if this is consumed or injected into a living being the victim will fall over dead within seconds, fading into nothingness shortly afterwards. Resistance or immunity to poison will not save the victim, for it is not a toxin but rather the pure distilled essence of nonexistence.
Secret: one of the ingredients to an elixir of immortality. Also, consuming one drop of a diluted solution of 1 part void to 999 parts distilled water will separate your soul from your body, allowing astral projection for 24 hours. During those 24 hours, your body is in a state of half-existence, difficult to perceive, impossible to interact with, and completely unchanging. Consuming more than one drop at a time will kill you.

Bapholithicite: a chunk of green mineral with a blue tint to it. Has a similar melting point to pure iron, and there is enough material present to make a decent sized sword or the head of a mace, possibly a gauntlet. Once fully cooled after the first melt, the material is strengthened. The melting point becomes twice as high(measured in Kelvin), and the color shifts to a cyan color. The material's hardness increases as well, without becoming brittle. Bapholithicite cannot be directly affected by Awakened Powers, but seems easily affected by magic. Commonly referred to as Blue Bronze.
Secret: if the material is melted a second time and then cooled, it once again hardens, its melting point doubling again. This can be repeated so long as you can reach the new melting point. Further cycles also grant increasing Power resistance to its wielder. Its color will always shift towards shorter wavelengths, passing through blue and violet until finally ceasing to reflect visible light, which happens after 4 melts(cyan, blue, dark violet, black). The temperature required for the final melt is about 15000 Kelvin, after which it becomes impossible to melt. At this point the material is known as Voidmetal, and a Kin equipped with a Voidmetal item is effectively immune to hostile Powers. The material is also completely unbreakable, and its shape cannot be changed except via magic originating from the user. It may be difficult to sharpen a blade even before it cools to a voidmetal state... Most commonly, voidmetal is forged into armor, jewelry, or blunt weapons, thus avoiding the issue of sharpening any edges.
note: laboratory-grade electric arc furnaces can reach over 3200 Kelvin. 15000 would require some serious magic/artifact bullshit, or clever indirect use of Powers.

Burst-A-Nut - A satchel of nuts which, when consumed, give the user a temporary ability involved with sexual fluids released upon orgasm. The effects vary between the types of nuts, including but not limited to:
- Chestnut Cherry: User will lactate upon orgasm, fluid will explode and quickly reform into sharp spikes upon contact with metallic solids. Is not recommended for use in outdoor areas due to frequent miniature spike balls forming near user when in an environment with breathable metal particles.
* Pecan Hydronut: Fluids ejaculated from urethra will sustain life as if they had consumed sixteen times as much fluid.
* Cashew Cascade Nut: Any semen ejaculated becomes hyper-aggressive and actively seeks out an egg to fertilize. It also develops a radiant blue glow.
Secret: One of these nuts is capable of growing into a tree. The rest are pre-roasted and cannot grow anything.

Stretch n' Salt A salt shaker with a compartment containing silly putty. When the salt grinded from the shaker is consumed by someone while the putty is formed with their outward appearance to 95% likeness, any changes to the putty will temporarily transfer to the consumer.
Secret: If the consumer is possessed by a spirit and the putty is shaped to resemble said spirit, the spirit will take control of the consumer for the duration of the effect.

Pitcher of Pages A water pitcher. When filled with liquid and poured, the contents will spill and form into waterproof books of varying content. Books may be fully transcribed copies of original works or a jumble of combined concepts and jibberish.
Secret: Content of books is dependent on the information that has made contact with the water. For instance, books that have been ruined with water damage may be recreated by collecting the water used to ruin them and using the pitcher. If multiple books have been ruined with the same water, this may cause overlap.

Cycling Coffin
Placing a corpse into this item adds it to a pocket dimension with a registry ID and password. Enter the credentials to retrieve the body. Warning: This coffin will kill any living user who is placed within it and cycled. The body will be fully preserved and alive but its soul will be physically removed. No information is currently available on what happens to the soul.
Secret: When a living user with immortality-based powers is placed within the coffin, preventing death from permanence, their body will be preserved for use and their soul will transfer to the next body cycled, reanimating it. For all intents and purposes, the soul will be brainwashed to believe that it is the person it has taken the body of, and take on their full memories and personality. Over time, the soul used in this process will regain control, first as a voice in the revenant's head, then as a split personality, and finally as the living person who went in. Bodies overwritten this way will be reset to their original personality upon returning to the coffin.

Vampire Molar
When grafted into the body of a kin, dealing damage with this molar will drain Energy from the target.

Muta-Sauce
A vat of radioactive chemicals that grants genetically enhanced superpowers. Is explicitly magically enchanted. The cancer risk is considerably lower than that of regular radioactive waste, but still significant enough to consider never opening this vat.
Secret: Every use causes a unique form of low-severity cancer. Further uses increase the risk that the various cancers will be fatal. If cured through cancer treatments, the mutation associated with the cancer will revert over time. Relapses are possible if the radiation is not purged somehow.

Graft Bugs
Pairs of strange disk-tentacled slugs that mate in pairs. When a user is amputated (even beheaded), placing one bug on the amputated piece and the other on the amputation wound will prevent scar tissue and organ failure. User is capable of feeling and using the part as if their body had an unfeeling extension, rather than a portal system. Rejoining the bugs causes them to mate and fuse together, infesting the user with their spawn which will hatch and erupt from the user's skin after a period of two weeks, dealing non-lethal damage.
Secret: It is possible to attach two user's parts to each other; cross-attach the bugs to the users' parts (Bug A1 gets User 1's body, Bug A2 gets User 2's limb Bug B1 gets User 2's body, Bug B2 gets User 1's limb). Both limbs must be attached simultaneously and in close contact or organ rejection will occur.

Doppleputty: A jar of soft, milky clay.
When someone touches the clay within it begins to creep and expand up and across the users body, until it engulfs them entirely. Once fully engulfed the clay quickly takes on the user's features and characteristics before removing itself from them entirely, creating a perfect clone of them in the process.
(Past users call the process "Terrifying")
This clone is utterly subservient too and indistinguishable from the original. So long as the original lives the clone has access to their personality and memories.
The clone can use any magic or abilities the original has.
The clone cannot tire nor sleep. It needs neither food, water, nor air. It contains no organs, shrugs off most damage, and regenerates quickly. It's strength is naturally much greater than that of a human.
Besides an innate weakness to fire, it tends to be superior to the original.

The original can demand the clone return to its original putty form at any time.
Should the clone's form be completely obliterated somehow with excessive force, it will melt back into putty.
Should the clone be killed by heat, it will harden into a porcelain like substance, destroying it completely.

Should the original die while there is an active clone, the clone will begin acting on it's own accord. How much that will resemble the original, what powers it keeps, and what memories it keeps, depend on how long it was active for.

That is a really good question, thanks for your concern.

There was actually a lot to consider with fights for awakened people, and not just stealth based powers, such as awakened or weapon based projectiles getting shot into the audience by accident, harming them in some way.

To remedy this, the fighting ring will be inside a large powered reinforced glass concealment that had been invented and modified by a large group of tinkers and awakened people, built with some artifact tools as well. The glass concealment was made to protect audiences from the outside from missed projectiles, as well as negate certain stealth-based powers from the outside for audiences to see the action. (the glass concealment does need maintenance from time to time to make sure it doesn't break after multiple awakened-based attacks at least once or twice a month, it's not totally invulnerable, just super durable against awakened attacks)

that said, the audience and CEO from the outside of the glass concealment will be able to see what Flicker is doing with her stealth based powers while anyone such as her opponent inside the glass concealment won't be able to see through her stealth powers. This will all be explained in a future update.

Oh man, it took me entirely too long to actually write these out. Gonna dump a bunch of low level artifacts that I thought up when I thought the side session battle was going to be a team fight for some reason...

Sparkspitter:A submachine gun type Mana Gun that rapidly shoots electrically charged shots. The bullets it fires have a small stun effect that builds up with multiple hits. Effective but quickly consumes ammunition and has accuracy issues at farther ranges.

Sandstorm Shamshir: A dusty steel shamshir. When swung in a circular motion(either the user rotating their body, or rotating their arm), the sword produces miniature tornados filled with obscuring sand.

Rush Lance:A large and blunt iron lance. The weapon provides a small boost to Speed while charging, and also surrounds the wielder with a weak protective field that somewhat raises their defense for the duration of the charge.

Fire Orbs: A pair of small crystal balls. When thrown, they light themselves aflame, and can fly under the the user's direction.

Switch Shuriken:A set of three shuriken. When thrown, they cause the thrower to swap positions in space with whatever the shuriken hit via teleportation. The shuriken do not teleport with the target when they switch, even if they stick in the target.

Also, this thing, because I think it might be funny:
GOAT:A small stuffed goat. For some reason, as long as someone is carrying it in plain view, the holder will appear extremely great and impressive to everyone that sees them.

Then, actually good stuff, like this one artifact I thought of specifically for Gena...
Arachne Armlet: An intricate, gold, forearm covering armlet in the shape of a large spider, with the three backmost sets of legs forming clasps to grip the arm, and the foremost set extending forward over the wearer's hand. By giving the artifact energy, the spider produces lengths of high quality and extremely durable thread, issued through the spiders mouth. The thread has nearly artifact level durability and can be woven to create many quality items, while the spider's fore legs and mouth parts can work automatically to weave and knit the thread as its produced. The more SKILLFULL the wearer is, the faster and more intricate the weaving is. In this manner, all sorts of sheets, ropes, nets, wire, etc can be made quickly, on the fly.
Hidden Effect: The Qualities of the thread produce can be altered heavily based on the preexisting skill in sewing and weaving of the wearer. If they are skilled enough, threads with various properties, like sharp cutting threads, sticky threads, almost invisible thin but strong threads and several others can be produced as needed.

And some automatic items.

Nucleo Spheres: A Bag of seemingly normal, if perfectly shaped monochromatic marbles. When removed from the bag, they orbit around the user in a manner similar to some models of atoms, with the user at the center. Have disproportionate mass and force for their size and take extreme amounts of force to divert them from their predetermined orbit at all, with most impediments either being pushed out of the way or burrowed straight through. User can extend the range of the orbit, as well as speed of the rotation at will, which can cause the marbles to easily exceed the speed and force of high caliber heavy weapons.

Crimson Jaws:Set of 32 black fangs of an stone-like material, similar to obsidian in appearance, attached to thread loops that can be worn as a necklace. When activated, the fangs detach from the loops and float of their own accord, arranging themselves in manner identical to teeth in a gaping mouth. They move in unison, attempting to bite and maul enemies, leaving wounds burning hot and drained of blood. Wounds caused by the Fangs heal slowly regardless of regeneration effects or healing cast on them, and are capped at a 'natural' healing rate. Unless instructed not to, they attempt to savage any living creature that approaches the user, or the user can direct them to attack a certain target within a set distance.

A semi-viscous yet stable orb. Contact with solid matter causes it to form sharp spikes. When it pierces the bloodstream, user will become less emotional.
Hidden: This is actually an emotion absorber which can permanently absorb any excessive personality trait (lust to the point of nymphomania, pride to the point of megalomania, etc), bringing it down to levels normal for the average local population. This will store the emotion as a personality core for transfer into another user. The same user can re-absorb their own personality core. Attempting to use this on a user with no excessive emotional traits will have no mental effect.

Dove of Suffering
This dove-shaped mask allows the user to mind-control a target by staring them in the eye and ordering them to perform a task. Effects vary between targets and may not work. If successful, target will not be capable of remembering the command or what they do while performing it.
Hidden: With excessive willpower from the user, chanting the trigger phrase "Suffer Me Now" will allow the user to dominate a weak-willed target permanently. Effect is stronger if the user makes contact with the target while forcing stress.

Voodoo Origami Box[b]
A cardboard box with perforated indentations. When the box contains an object and a user folds the object along one of its indentations, the object inside the box will enter a pocket dimension and change properties. This will reveal a separate opening in the box to retrieve the object. Object functions are dependent on the perforations and order used.
Hidden: The box is a living specimen. Over time, it will grow and gain new functions by absorbing negligible mass from the objects placed inside it, including soul matter. Cutting the box by its perforations disables the corresponding function and creates two smaller boxes with split functionalities.

[b]Blood Chain-Claw

A battle glove made of five mini-chainsaws with claws for chainsaw teeth. Is fully functional and has multiple means of recharging, but has a low energy pool. Using the claw on a target with a matching blood type causes the user to absorb blood and heal wounds.

Ankh of resurrection
Should the user die whilst holding the Ankh, the Ankh will break and the user will be revived at a random nearby location, has a 30% chance to revive you as an ANGEL.

This is pretty much just like the phoenix ring, except instead of it having the chance of turning you into a DEMON, it turns you into an ANGEL

Here is the interesting part: if you have both the PHOENIX RING and have the ANKH with you, both percentages of becoming an angel and demon adds up to 60 percent, and you have a 60% chance of becoming a one of a kind FALLEN ANGEL, a hybrid between an ANGEL and a DEMON. You have the powers of both a demon and an angel, with new powers that only a FALLEN ANGEL can have, and new powers that are combined between an ANGEL and DEMON power. You will not be aligned by either demons nor angels but become your own thing.

CRYSTAL BALL OF SELF FULFILLING PROPHECY

This is a crystal ball that can show the future, but needs to be leveled up for it to be accurate.

When you first use it, you'll see a vision of the future of anything you ask it, or at random, and it has a 5% chance of coming true if you don't do anything. When the crystal ball gets a prediction right, the accuracy of its next prediction adds up by another 5% with the max being 90%. However, if it gets any predictions wrong, its percentage of accuracy goes all the way back to 5%. Any prediction, even at 90% can also easily be prevented once you find out about it, but you will also reset the crystal ball accuracy by successfully fighting fate (like if you witness your death by a certain monster and decide to avoid said monster)

In order to level it up effectively, you'll need to fulfill each of the crystal balls' predictions yourself. So if the crystal ball see's you going someplace at a specific time, you need to go there at that time to make the prediction come true yourself so it gets better accuracy in the next prediction.

DIMENSIONAL COMM

A comm that can call anyone from a different dimension, and go on the internet from different dimensions. Payment to use it increases from 5BUX to 100BUX every Sunday.

Some Materials

Mimoplastic: Magically made plastic material that has the ability to easily mimic the look, feel and sometimes properties of other materials it has come in contact with. Because of these properties, its often used in the construction of artifact replicas, or forgeries. It can also be processed into a rubber-like form to make realistic disguises, or to cover other materials to make them appear different.

Protoplasma: A thick and clear gelatinous substance of unclear origin. Its clearly supernatural and responds to the intentions of those touching it, causing it to change its shape and form. Because it frequently appears in areas that Spirits re active, its theorized to possibly be a byproduct of them moving through different planes of existence, especially through physical objects. It can be used as both a catalyst and power source for spell casting, but consumes mass when used as power. When covering an energy storing/using object, it can drain some that energy and grow in mass.

and other stuff

DELICIOUS! Bait:A plastic pouch with an unfamiliar brand, containing multicolored lumps of ground bait. The scent and taste of the bait once removed from the pouch seems to be irresistible to non-sentient animals and monsters, so much so that it will draw even the cautious and intelligent ones to it, even against their instincts. Its ingredients are unclear. Once the pouch has been emptied, it will refill on its own after 24 hours.

Lucky Coin : An antique gold coin. It seems valuable, and keeping it on your person makes you more lucky.
Hidden Effect: If you flip the coin in order to make a decision, and you faithfully go along with the result of the flip, Whatever choice you made has a higher chance of working out in your favor.

Luxurious Hair Clip:A fancy hair clip made of polished ebony and bone. Wearing it causes the wearer's hair to strengthen to near artifact levels of durability, and allows them to control all their hair as if it were an additional limb. It also passively increases the quality and health of the users hair.
Hidden Effect: By spending energy into the clip, allows the wearer to grow their hair at will.

Intoxicating Pipe: A Large and long smoking pipe, about the length of a man's arm. Made of hard wood an sturdy metal, it can function as a bludgeon in a pinch.
It can be loaded with any smoke-able substance and enhances the positive or pleasurable effects of any inhaled, while eliminating the negative health effects. It expels many times more smoke then usual, and the smoke can be directed and controlled via movement of the pipe. All smoke produced has a strong intoxicating effect on those that breathe it in.

Cuz I just had a thought on it charcuterie, Chi.
Back in the previous year it was mentioned that we were as strong as a human soldier, which was impressive since our kind are generally weaker than humans.
I thought, oh that's cool, we stronk.
It somehow didn't occur to me that we were A FREAKING NINE YEAR OLD.
We weren't even terribly more athletic than average.
Even with the ATHLETIC PHYSIQUE bonus it's kind of absurd!
At this rate of growth we could end up with HERCULEAN STRENGTH.

Normally I would be super gung ho about magic n stuff, but y'know...
If we got a gift, might as well lean into it.
