I think Strott's excitement is from finding someone who can speak their language, not from anything else. Besides, this is the first time Emils has interacted with them, kissing would be inappropriate.

Regarding Strott's question: I think ignorance is the better option here.

But look at the body language! Strott is a towering figure getting closer and closer from this girl with an obsessive look wile firmily holding her in place. Menwile Emils is gently caressing his cheek.
If this is a misundertanding it's a hilarious one and even Strott have to recognize it's not an unreasonable assumption for Emils to make. Iwant her to kiss his snout because she is too young to say "don't be gentle".

The primary issue would be the amnesia, not the cave; the story being that we grew up alone in the wilderness would be damaged by not remembering part of growing up.
Also, dont mention caves when people recently die in them.

Something along the lines of "I am really good at learning language; I dont know anybody else who can understand lizards, either. It seems like magic is a language, too.I think I might be a magical girl."

Kissing is too forward. Just boop the snoot.

"My earliest clear memory is waking up near a river in a cave, and fighting off creatures to survive. Before that it is all blurs of light and sound; flashes of memory and emotion, little more.
I can't tell you how I can understand you, as I do not know."

This is completely consistent with what she already said, and is entirely truthful. It doesn't conflict with what Emils told Bea either.

"I don't know."
"What?" Her grip hardens on my shoulder, and my body feels hurt.
"My earliest memory is waking up in a cave. I came to this city some time later and got adopted."
She was silent.
"I've already told the others about this, but I don't have any memories beyond that."
Her smile falters, "Nothing at all?"
"No. No memories at all. I don't know who my parents are, where I was born, or what my name was."
She looks at me, unsure on what to do. Her claws still tight on my shoulders.
"All I do know is that I have some kind of dragon traits in me that I don't fully understand."
I lower my hand from her water bubble and bring my head closer.
She looks sad, "I... I'm sorr-"

I boop the snoot.

Because we haven't asked her how Nereya make children yet. That's important information and this person may be the only one who knows it. So the explanation for our actions should be this:

I let go of Stort's nose, causing her to retreat, holding her nose in her hands.
"Why did you bite me?"
"Was that not a lead up to a kiss?"
"Wha what?"
"You grabbed my shoulders and lean your face in towards me. From what I've read, that is typically how a kiss starts."
"Where did you learn that?!"
"From Bea's books."
She turns her head, "I.. I need to discuss what kind of things she's teaching you." she mutters. "And for your kind, that is not what a kiss is."
"Oh. How does my kind kiss?"
Her skin turns a darker shade, "You should probably ask Beatrice and Hoor that," she grins, "they would know better than I would."

"Incidentally," She looks back at me as I ask, "What gender are you?"
She blinks, silent for a moment before releasing bubbled giggles from her gills, "Ah yes, I forget that it's different for land races."

"Nereyas do not have male or female like your kind does. We are neither until we find a mate. At that point, the lead turns female while the partner turns male and stay that way for the rest of their life."
"And you do not have a gender?"
"No. I am neither male nor female at the moment."

I don't like this idea because ordering them to be yours will just end up with them thinking of it as a joke. We need to be srs here. We need to be sure of their feelings first. Also, we don't know how the claiming process works. Better ask them about it first!

Strots face grows the same color as before, but it's more noticable. "No! No no no. Please don't be mistaken. I was just excited because you're the first Rabbold I could talk to. Forgive me, please. Besides, you're not my type."

"So should I refer to you as a he or she from now on?"
"Well, I'm okay with either. Between Nereya, we use gender neutral terms for those of us who don't have a partner yet."
"So how does it happen?"
"Pardon?"
"Finding a partner. Kissing. Turning male or female. Making children. That kind of stuff."
"Ah, that is not a subject for young ones such as yourselves."

This Isn't prototype though. Emils gains almost nothing even from skilled people beyond their mass. After absorbing 20 soldiers she barely got a few unrefined talent's and that was probably mostly from observing those skills be used against her.

Absorbing monsters and animals is a must though. More forms, bloods, and breath weapons.

Emils learns skills from observation.
Emils learns biological functions from consuming.

Emils can't learn skills from consuming, but she might be able to learn biological functions from observation.

Eating people risks being discovered, which would be Very Bad, but would yield little to no advantage over her current form.

Going out into the wild alone and eating monsters is much less risky, and provides greater variety.

Actually, going after and absorbing a tree (or some other kind of plant) might not be such a bad idea. In addition to some guilt-free mass we could possibly gain other abilities like photosynthesis. Emils got spear- and swordplay skills by absorbing. The thing she doesn't absorb is information.

Dragonblood will interfere with any [Organic Mimic] so our disguises are a little limited in terms of use.

Ultimatly she will need to shed some of our excess mass if she still needs to hide herself among others, all the furniture she breaks would become a little conspicuous and I think Victor is catching on...
>>
No. 796116 ID: 398fe1

That won't work. Emils only gains mass from eating recently-deceased animals. It needs to have mana in the body in order for it to be processed into slimemass. Otherwise, all it can do is support Emils' currently mimicked body's dietary requirements.
