It's a shame we don't know Meg all that well. This would be a great venue for her and Polyphema to meet.

What are the Bikas doing while you're on the phone? It's not like she doesn't have multiple eyes on you.

GG: I don't have to fight a ritual battle for parental approval, do I?

Poly: You totally get to do that. I'm a little pinned down tonight, though.

Meg: Yes.

Oh goddammit.
This is why we're paid a bunch.
It's getting me in the feels. We just participated in an orgy with a hivemind and now our cool psychic girlfriend want's a booty call and the tough girlfriend wants to take this shit to the next level.

Fuck, shit, once we get on good terms with Meg we enter fucking hardmode. Level 4. "I am Death Zeus incarnate!"

Send Poly a text that the Nguyen brand booty call cannot be done tonight
Say to GG that sounds real cool, you'll have to upgrade your powerlevel lest you disappoint the parents. Training under two G's may be necessary.

1.

5: Not tonight, busy meeting a family. Shit, you were right about Skuts. Kind of wish I had more warning, but I understand why it was kept on the hush. Open schedule, aside from Gala on Friday.

4: Wait, are you calling me a cute nerd, or are those terms referring to your parents? Because I can't picture a nerdy Warrior. Cute, sure, I know full well from meeting you a person can look cute, tough, and badass at the same time.
Not today, Friday or [Insert Polyphema's day here], but, sure, I'm willing to meet up with them.

6: That's a definite. Might bring a few friends, unless this is a backstage offer ;)

Yes, do actually mention the "Skut" deal with Poly. She'll understand. Don't bring up the Poly deal with GG, though, she's more interested in a steady, human-typed relationship. If Meg's cool with inviting some friends over (Even if she's also giving a backstage offer to Zack alone), then we can invite Poly, GG, and a group of Bikas, as well as ask Xu and Zack's closer friends, though we'd need to be sure to mention something like, "Hey, I'm getting a bunch of friends together for a gala this Friday, wanna come along and meet everybody?"

Training under Two G's would be an excellent way of putting it. Sounds better than any idea I came up with.

1]] RSVP Yes.
4]] Respond to GG: What's the % chance of my head being crushed by a bicep?
5]] Respond to Polyphema: In principle, yes. In practice, I'm not able to fulfill.

(The spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised!)

6]] Respond to Meg: I'm in.

To GG you text:

>Sounds real cool. must up power level so head is not crushed by bicep. what day?

To Polyphema you write:

>It absolutely does. but tonight i'm meeting bika's family so i can't. rain check?

To Meg you write.

>Looks great. RSVP'd.

"Do you wanna play video games?" you ask Bika.
"Yeeeees," Bika says. "Have you ever played Counter Strike?"
"Can't say I have."
"There's a newer one but I play source," Bika says. "Do you want to be on my team or on my other team?"
"You play yourself?"
"Heck yeah I do. I like a challenge." She takes your hand. "C'mon, boo."

After an utter shitcanning at your first game of Counter Strike ("You mean I have to wait to respawn?" "Get good, Zack.") you and Bika take a rickety outdoor staircase up to the roof, and watch the stars.

"It's a beautiful night," Bika says.
"Mmmm." You scratch Bika's ears. "There were fewer stars once. I guess fewer people means less light pollution."
"You're welcome," Bika says. You chuckle.
"Sometimes," Bika says, "I look at the stars and I wonder if one of them is the Other side. Like maybe the portals aren't interdimensional, just spacial in the extreme. And one of those is home."
"Do you think of it as home?"
Bika blinks and the sky is reflected in her eyes.
"I guess not," she says, quietly. "I guess this is home."
She rests her head on your side. You scootch your lap so she's lying in it.
"I never thought that before," she says.

1]] Is it because of me?
2]] I'm glad.
3]] We still have a lot of work to do.
4]] What do you think of humans?
5]] I like you.
6]] I love you.
7]] Hey so about Alamads and Dulamads.

I don't know about 6. It seems too early to say the L-word, but the same can be said for Polyphema and we went for that.

Bika is tremendous and deserves some top shelf wordsmithing.

To be fair, Poly is an oculot. In her own words, they "fall in love very easily."

"I'm glad." You kiss the top of her head. "Welcome home."

"Home."
Bika puts her head on your chest. She looks at the stars. "Do you feel small when you look up there?"
"Sometimes," you say.
"Sometimes me too," she says. "But right now I don't."
"How do you feel?"
She shakes her head. "I don't know. I can't think of the words."
"You can't think of the--" You look around. All the Bikas but this one have quietly left back down into the building. "You're alone."
"No I'm not." Bika strokes your chest. There's a hesitance there that wasn't there earlier at first, but then her fingers close around your arm and she lies closer to you. "I'm not."

You kiss her. She kisses you back.

"It's like," she says, after a few seconds of thought. "It's like they're all places I could be that aren't here. And I'm glad I'm not in any of them. I can't think."
"You're adorable."
"You're adorble." She's mumbling. Maybe it's from sleepiness and maybe it's because she's away from the rest of her.
"You want to go inside?" you ask.
"Mhm," she says.
"OK." You pick her gently up and carry her to the stairs.
She wraps a hand around the back of your neck. "But not cuz of I want to be around more skuts. It's cuz it's cold up here."
"Sure."
"An' I wanna have sex with you again."
"Double sure."

Tomorrow is Thursday.

A nice tumble with Poly, some Warrior research (maybe ask Poly for advice), and a good, hard workout. Sounds like a plan.

Until GG responds we can't do much on her front. Hopefully she won't ask that we meet her parents on Friday. For now though, let's give Poly some attention.
>>
No. 648398 ID: 76c583

Let's go quench an oculot's thirst.

Assuming GG's parents live in or near the city, scheduling the meeting should be fairly easy. All we'd really need is for her to take us to them.

We should definitely ask Poly for advice about it. What's the proper etiquette, should we bring a gift, etc..
>>
No. 648399 ID: d3bbf8

Let's give Poly a Zack Attack and ask her about meeting the parents Warrior style.

Also, let's make sure our best clothes are clean and ready for friday. We wanna look our best for the gala.
>>
No. 648402 ID: 7b7ab3

Let us seek the guidance (and glorious posterior) of our beloved oculot. She must know a thing or two about meeting Warrior parents.

>>648399
Make absolutely certain that we are presentable come Friday. We can't afford any mistakes this time. Meg is counting on us!
>>
No. 648412 ID: 1702f6

Poly time. We can ask her what to do about GG's parents, and then we need to get ready for Friday.

Also: Google Calendar. It could save Zack and the girls a lot of scheduling headaches.

He doesn't know why he's looking over his shoulder that night when he meets up with her again. It's not illegal, what they're doing. Not yet, anyway.

"Hey."
She's behind Izzo's, where she asked to meet, eye on her phone.

"Can't believe you're still wearing that hoodie." He consciously avoids looking at the socket. "It's like 80 degrees out here."
"Gotta have the cloaks if you want the daggers. Thanks for coming out today. More dudes than I was expecting."
"Can't just do nothing, you know?"
"Most people do."
"Yeah, well." He shrugs. "Earth for Earth, right?"
"Earth for Earth."
She grins. "Nice slogan."
"I can't think of that eloquent shit off the top of my head like you can."
"We tried eloquent shit." She sends whatever she was texting and slides the phone in her front pocket. "We gotta upgrade the message."
"Sorry about today. I guess they know what you look like now."
"I don't mind," she says. "And it's OK. There's others out there."
"How many?"
"Fuckin' too many."
"Right." He leans on the opposite wall. "Why are we back here, anyway? Couldn't just, like, text?"
"I wanted to ask you something."
"Not over text?"
"Uh-uh."
"Operational security?"

"Naw." She detaches from the wall. "I was just wondering: do you wanna go out for a drink with me?"
