Sure! We've never had a friend before.

Also, oh god, is that a cape? Captain D is so AWESOME.

"Okay! I've never had a friend before!"

"Really? Wow! Well, I'll do my best not to hurt you or anything! What do you want to do, Riddle?"

>Also, oh god, is that a cape? Captain D is so AWESOME.
I guess you could call it a cape. Its more like a longcoat, but he always keeps the front open, so it can whip in the wind. I asked him once if he gets cold, and he said yeah, he gets cold, but its cooler this way. Captain D is so cool.

A really absurdly long scarf. Of many colors.

Tell him to fetch some totally random items from around the facility and bring them to the front desk.

... walk on grass? Uh.
The only thing we really can do is talk. We can ask Allen if there's anything he wants to talk about. As long as it's nothing he can use, we can probably tell him anything.
203 and 204 are talking in the library, so that's neat. We wanted to hear what they were saying, but the ringing distracted us.

... HEY.
Do you think Allen could find stuff out for us? Y'know, probably, like, without telling people we want to know? Like a secret mission!

...well, if noone else can think of something, look at the monitors, and try to see if there is something just sitting there, that's obvious to you, and tell him to go get it. No idea what else you can see on the other camera, though. Look for things like hats and such.

Um. Well, how about the obvious: Can he find out what 203 and 204, the guys inside the library, are talking about, without letting on about us? Because... we're bored!
And that's what we'd wanted to find out originally anyway.

He's not going to know anything about 108, they're in completely different security wards!
Ask him... ask him what he thinks of the other MediSec patients. In exchange, WE can tell HIM about some of the other security level patients. If he cares.

... I... I don't really know what to do, since we don't seem to have a goal. I guess we can just talk to Allen until we want him to do something or something happens on the screens.
He can do a lot of things the guards can't, by virtue of being another inmate.
And at least he keeps us company.

>... I... I don't really know what to do, since we don't seem to have a goal
Well... a goal, huh? I suppose I want to go outside. Yeah. That'd be pretty cool.

I also want to eat something besides those nutrition shakes Mom makes, but she says I can't because there is something wrong with my digestive system, so it'd be best if I didn't do that but I still want to try.

How do you think I should go about getting myself some freedom? What sorts of tasks should I have Allen do?

>Well, what's keeping you in? Is the door locked? Do you know where it leads out to, or where any keys or such for it are?
Well... kind of. There is an elevator, but it is password coded. Mom knows the password, and so does Captain D, but I don't. Ta'Ch'Ch might.

There isn't much down here, in the lab. There's my room, and this room, and a hallway, and Mom's room, and the lab, and the elevator, and the storage room. In the back of the storage room is the emergency exit, but the door is locked and I can't get through. Mom has the key.

It occurs to me that if your mom managed to genetically engineer you and your brother, she should have the ability to perform gene therapy.

So the question is...why hasn't she? Gene Therapy could cure a lot of your ailments. Then there's cybernetics and all that nice stuff.

TL;DR, there's no reason why you should be cooped up like a prisoner when there are viable alternatives to improving your life.
>>
No. 90741 ID: c42be6

>>90695
So then. Our best bet would be figuring out the password. Is there any way to get camera onto the elevator? They aren't wireless or anything, right?

Well, onto other things, what's in the lab down here? What is it for? There some secret research and development being done in this place? Is there anything interesting in the storage room?

...wow I ask a lot of questions.
>>
No. 90742 ID: f4963f

>>90695
Hmm. The other option is getting the emergency exit open somehow. It's not a very good emergency exit if it needs to be manually locked, is it? Either way, we need to figure out a way to use Allen towards our goals.

What's Allen in for, anyway? Maybe we can help him out while he helps us. He seems friendly enough. ... crazy scars notwithstanding.

>So then. Our best bet would be figuring out the password. Is there any way to get camera onto the elevator? They aren't wireless or anything, right?
Yeah, there's an elevator camera. The elevator is pretty rarely used, though, since it only goes between MaxiSec and here.

>Well, onto other things, what's in the lab down here? What is it for? There some secret research and development being done in this place? Is there anything interesting in the storage room?
Umm... Mom works down here. I don't know too much about it. Most of the lab stuff is for taking care of me.

>What's Allen in for, anyway? Maybe we can help him out while he helps us.
Uhh... 108 is in for self inflicted bodily trauma and accidental homicide.

>It's not a very good emergency exit if it needs to be manually locked, is it?
Its locked so people can't get in. I can go out of it no problem, but Mom would kill me if she found me outside. And going out the emergency exit means I can't get back in. I'd need Mom's key.

And if I prop it open too long an alarm goes off. I've tried. Mom was really mad at me.

Hmm.

I would suggest asking Allen to look around the place. Who knows? He might find something out if he stars looking around the facility?
>>

>>90826
Tell Allen we're still here. We don't have anywhere to go, so we'll always be right here to speak with him.
Except when it's time to sleep. Because that's when you sleep. Um.
.....
Actually, Allen's not too bright. He's really nice, but he seems pretty ditzy.
We're sure he means well.

Something subtle like figuring out the passcode might be beyond him. He's not exactly Direct PC material. ... Why don't we have him act as a helper, instead?

Ask Allen to get involved with the other inmates. Help them do things. Like how #108 wants to explore. Or if, say, anyone else wants to learn more about the facility. Whatever it is they want to do, help them do it.
The only rules he needs to follow are...
1) Try very very hard not to hurt anyone, and
2) Do not tell anyone why you are doing this.

And then, periodically, come back here and tell us what's going on (even though we can mostly see it), and if necessary we'll give further instructions.
Eventually, someone will either make it to us, or stir things up enough so that we can walk outside by ourselves for.
Or, at the very least, it'll be way more interesting than anything else we've been doing. Right?

Let the Gambit begin!

"Yes, I'm not here right now."

Allen pauses a moment. "...What?"

>I would suggest asking Allen to look around the place. Who knows? He might find something out if he stars looking around the facility?
This is a good idea. "Keep looking around, I'll be in touch."

"Oh. Okay! What should I look for?"

"Um..."
>Have him act as a helper. Eventually, someone will either make it to us, or stir things up enough so that we can walk outside by ourselves.
Oh! That sounds good!

"Go look for people to help out. Just be nice, help people with anything they need. Especially if they're trying to learn more about this place."

"Oh! I can do that! I can do that!"

"Good! But I have two rules you need to follow. These are very important. Rule 1: Try very hard not to hurt anyone."

"I always do that!"

"Try harder. And rule 2: Don't tell anyone about me, or why you're doing this."

"You sure? Why not?"

"Because if anyone knows about me I'll get in biiiiig trouble. So keep it a secret. Just look around, have fun, be helpful. And come back and tell me about what you learn. Okay?"

"Yes! I can do that!"

And then Allen runs off, to be helpful, hopefully.

I can do this. I feel like... like I have hope.
