[Orpus] Listen, quint, can't you hear it? It's the sound of the Gugnir, isn't it beautiful? We could have been good pals, But you just couldn't let me have my way. Now it's come down to this, what are you going to do?

Maybe we should tell her about how we died and reincarnated into a bunny person?

*Blink Blink* x5

...I'd be happy to, boss, but there are probably a few things you should know first.

Like the fact I'm a gender neutral magic bug. ...or the fact that I'm technically dead. You'd only have me till the end of the day, or you'd have to put up with my tiny bunny reincarnation.
>>

Yes!

Oh, but...
We kinda died. Would you be ok with marrying our re-incarnation--or do you only love us for our sexy exoskeleton :3c

Tell her it might have to wait until you get older. When she asks what you mean, spill the beans about how you reincarnated and this isn't your real body. It's not even going to last longer than a day. She deserves to know.

Also uh, say you should probably date for a while first (though that can't happen, sadly, since she's going to die soon). I mean, it's fun hanging around her but I mean, you never thought about romance because of the whole asexual body and uh.

This is kindof sudden.

Yeah, say yes but that it might have to wait until you're a little older, or unless she gets your parents permission--that's assuming that your sixteen year old bunny body isn't considered an adult in these matters, legally?

Hold, you make dialogue based on current events- but are you using sharpened judgement based on what you know of this woman or an assumption.
Use your knowledge of the past to make the best choice or it may come to pass that which was seen in the nightmare.

...well, fuck. So if we tell her the truth, she'll think she's a stupid idiot who will never be happy and kill herself. If we turn her down, how will her rejection not lead to the same outcome?

How the hell do we resolve this?

Ok, so looking back at the dream, she's going "it's never that easy"

I'm assuming that's what happens if we say yes

so we gotta say Nope! :D

Also, wouldn't she get in trouble with her church if she got married?

Oh, better, we should say "Why? :D"

Marrying us probably won't make her happy. We're dead!

Make it clear it's a "Why do you want to marry me, I'd make a terrible husband" and not a "why do you think I'd want to marry you"

I mean, think about it. We've been gone 16 years without a word, been a total wise-ass all the time with her, and, to top it all off, we're kinda dead!

The consequence you informed us of is a terrible one. Defying destiny would cause us to be hunted just as we hunt our targets.

You appear to be giving us another option, though. What would it cost for you to prevent her death?

[Watcher] Questions like this are what cause some to believe that 'evil genies' exist. A wish that saves someone destined to die, but deflects the consequence of divine punishment. I ask you, what would are you willing to give up to make this happen?

Well, that's the rub, isn't it? All we really have, that we really value, is our friends. And we aren't exactly going to be in the business of trading them for one another.
>>
No. 465471 ID: 4a328b

We'd say "My life" but you'd probably deem it too cheap. Or a debt to be called in whenever you chose, but the watcher probably doesn't care to defer payment. Probably rules out coin as well.

Really, we might as well just accept that we're going to get slated for divine punishment for this and do it anyway.

We don't really have much to offer now.

I have a different question: Was Plipper destined to die? If I remember correctly, we saved him on our own, despite the high price you asked to save his life. This was without future knowledge. Did we defy destiny there somehow?

If we said the right thing here just by looking at her past, would she still die? Would we have to directly intervene using future knowledge to prevent her death?

I would be okay with not being responsible for her committing suicide, at least, and her dying for some other reason. If it's really her time to die, so be it. I just want to make her happy at least before it happens.

the frog child was saved because it was his fate to live on. The price was not expensive at all, there has once been an army who sacrificed itself just to save one man.

The reason this is so different is that you do not have an army, or at the very least the protagonist of this drama does not.

But You do. Someone must die, but you- the ones who are reading this and pondering the thought- you do have the right payment for this.
I will make this an easy one for you, If you wish for metatron to be hounded by the lords of justice and to save this woman- say so. If you wish to watch as she dies, then say that. And if you do not want either, then say this.

Three simple choices, but in the end someone does die, permanently.
>>
No. 465478 ID: 4a328b

rolled 3 = 3

1-Try and change her fate, deal with the consequences of that.
2-Regi dies, we do nothing.
3-Neither!

Like I said, I'm okay with her dying. I just want her to die well. Like, have her die later on accidentally(maybe even like, right after we leave), instead of having her last day with us turn out so badly for her. What would THAT cost?
>>
No. 465482 ID: 735f4f

Fate is never a closed loop. Sometimes your choices might be limited but you always have them. I refuse to belive there is not some option here that would allow for the "happy" ending. Anything less would mean someone or something is manipulating the situation.
>>
No. 465484 ID: 735f4f

Hmm after futher thought I think I see what will happen. She is dying from the hurabian oxide poisoning. Be it now from suicide or slow and painfully later there is no way other than divine intervention to stop it. But thats against the rules and would get us in trouble. So now we make our choice.

wait until "end cutscen" to post.

[Quint] Me? ...do you know what love even is?

[Regina] I have no idea, but we could try?

[Quint] ........i'm sorry, truth is i don't have long in this body myself.

[Regina] So... okay, i actually didn't think it'd be that easy.

Quint grabs regi and they hug.

[Regina] I just wanted to be happy, like i don't want to die alone... and even though you kept picking on me I felt sorta okay with life.

[Quint] hmmmm

[Regina] I don't think i can take anymore of anything... people treated me like I was some faceless person, the church included... you didn't though...

[Quint] After I leave, what will you do?

[Regina]... i dunno... maybe return to the main church and go be a sacrifice or something

[Quint] Why choose to be suicidal?

[Regina] because i'm not worth shit, my social skills are terrible and no man wants me cus i'm a snarky bitch. Everything seems to make me angry or scared... why can't the rest of my life be like right now.

[Quint] Are you happy?

[Regina] it's close enough, happiest i could really ever be i guess.

[Regina]yeah, ya know i tried to cut my wrists when everyone thought you died?

[Quint] tried?

[Regina] well, turns out I don't like the sight of blood.

[Quint] I saw something in a dream, where you were so sad you killed yourself. I don't want that to happen, but it seems your going to kill yourself anyway-

[Regina]wait, please... just... okay. Will you miss me?

quick note, there was no right or wrong answer. the choices were keep regi and go into being hounded by the next tier of innevitables, say no to regi giving her system shock and making her kill herself, killing off another quest character, genie stuff, or killinf off one of my quests. As this points out there were many ways to approach this situation, you could have even changed the outcome right at greetings.

>or killing off one of my quests
how the fuck were we supposed to know that was a choice? don't make ways out of a situation that only some kind of old fashioned adventure game wiz could of divined. like needing to burn a peice of paper on a certain color candle making it turn into a magic ash that can be throw in the water to get a key for the door. NO ONE COULD FUCKING GUESS THAT SHIT!!

I think this is the part where he "said" another quest would work.
>the ones who are reading this and pondering the thought- you do have the right payment for this.
To be honest, I thought it meant for someone to give up their ability to suggest in any chirps quest; the only reason I didn't suggest myself was because I almost never suggested in this particular quest anyways.

I think it went well. Besides this reality has a known afterlife and deities. Takes a lot of the sting out of death if you know they will be fine somewhere else
