Once daylight breaks, we help Ijnev and her companions get situated on the other ship. They should have enough supplies to last a few months-- long enough to find land, assuming they don't get hopelessly lost like I totally didn't.

I hope... nah, I'm sure they'll be fine. She's my twin, after all. I know deep inside my circuits that we'll meet again one day.

They should be preparing to launch. I hope all that cardboard doesn't slow them down too much.

Whoa! That's what was inside!? What a... truly fine ship!

The ship circles us once before heading northeast. I listen to the sounds of wind and water around me as I watch them fade into the distance. I don't think I'd ever noticed before how serene the ocean was.

It's almost enough to make an admiral wistful.

Once I get my fill of the sea, I head to my cabin to collect my thoughts. We should be setting off ourselves soon. I hope the naga will be all right with the island to herself. I'd love to bring her along, but there's no way this little ship is holding something that long.

I head back up top and look outward, plotting our path. I find myself thinking on all that's happened and all the people I've met.

It's been a while since I 'obtained' this ship and set out with a skeleton crew of Nilaka, Sue, and Ashela. I think back on all the adventures I've had since. Saving Dragontits from that creepy cat, swordfighting Kanela and her dog, wak-ing it up with spikesby, and making Boaga several times cooler. And then several times prettier.

They say an admiral is only as good as her crew. I know I'm the best, because I'm surrounded by the best people. Maybe one day I'll tell them that.

"Um, captain?" Nilaka's voice speaks up from behind me.

"Ah! Yes, loyal crewman?"

"We're ready to ship out. We just need you to set a course."

"Ah, good. Hmm... I'm thinking west."

"West? Why west? What the heck's out that way?"
