When Alison can see again, she is falling. It is significantly hotter, and she has a key tied to a necklace that she wasn't wearing before.

Play a song, make it dreamy. Only the dreamiest songs can make duelist and recluse show up.

Recluse can be left alone. Everyone else is there, so Alison takes the stage with Iso, and plays the time away.

Everyone seems to get along better now, there may be almost all teamwork in the next stage. If it all goes well, maybe she could, just once, see a stage go through without a single death. She doesn't try to hope too much.

There isn't much left to do now. If she can't think of anything soon, then she will get the numbers that Scanner can get, and head into stage 4.

If everyone co-operates, we have to remember, this game is out to challenge us and definitely make us work for victory. If we all work together, the odds are high that we might just get some sort of AI opponent, built to fight us for working together. Just a thought to keep in mind, we don't know what it will throw, but it will challenge our current state, that was made perfectly clear.

If you mean no permadeaths, yeah, I can see that happening.
If you mean no dying at all, roustaboutfuggetabout it. Don't forget the 4 exit limits.

>Unfortunately, a person will only appear in her dream if they are dead and not in any stages or safe zones. Therefore, Alison won't appear in Recluse's dream or vice versa unless one of them dies.
A bit late to mention this, but double absorbed ghosts can exist in both dreams at the same time provided they have not been resurrected. A game of afterlife-telephone would be in order, next time.
>>
No. 414755 ID: 886a4d

Well Allison has been absorbed by Recluse and Allison posseses Recluse's ghost via recursive. Perhaps they can find one another using that.

Ask Shopkeeper if he wants to lose a White Glove duel on purpose so we'd have him in our dream just in case anything happens. We would lose any CU we gained in the resurrection process, so it's not cheating or anything, right? And for him, knowing that there is something unique about him that no other Shopkeeper can claim to have... that would mean a lot considering his crisis.

I like that idea, since we won't get anything but CU if he actually has any (which I doubt) he shouldn't see us doing anything but doing something for him. Lets ask him about it.

The stage is left with Iso for some time, while Alison asks the shopkeeper if he would like to white glove duel so that she may absorb him. He says he is willing to try this, but Alison will still have to pay 70 CU for a white glove.

Buy the ability absorb boon if you have not already before you duel him. There is a marginal chance that you might get his special things should it work.

>>
No. 414976 ID: b9e291

Ability Absorb is a retroactive boon anyway. There probably aren't any other chests with it, so it was either that or Resurrection. Nevertheless like pokémon 151 it exists, thus should be attainable somehow!
>>
No. 414977 ID: fdad59

If the use of the white glove by you is blocked, try giving it to Shopkeep and having him initiate the duel. Make sure that Shopkeep knows to do zero damage when he attacks.

WAIT ask if Scan Immunity is active in safe zones, or if he has it right now, or if he can turn it off, or anything like that. Maybe he can tell us now that he is closer to us?

We can't, it's not available.

>>414978
The shopkeep doesn't have scan immunity in safe zones. He has it in the stages. He's not allowed to tell us anything about his stats in the stages though.

I think 70 CU is worth making sure we don't lose another friend, and to ease his mind.

The shopkeep does not have a scan absorb bonus in stock, Alison can't buy that, so she's just left to absorb him normally.

Alison uses absorb, gains 0 CU!

worst it could do is give us two shopkeepers.

Thank shopkeep for going along with the plan. Begin racking up more hug points.

I think summoning the shopkeep in front of himself would be too odd if it works. At best, let's go to sleep, and see if he's there.
>>
No. 415017 ID: 886a4d

Right we kinda let Iso alone on stage, lets go back and join him. If he asks tell him you wanted to try helping a new friend.

After that lets time skip to the end.
>>
No. 415018 ID: 3bad4c

He'd make a great ghost - the confusion would be worth it. Now to find that ability again..
>>
No. 415019 ID: fdad59

Alison can test resurrecting Shopkeep in the start of the level. If this instance of Shopkeep is destroyed along with the rest area, he can be resurrected there. If not available to be resurrected, then he's been transported elsewhere.

Also, to see if Shopkeep is transported and not remade with implanted memories, give him something unique to carry in his personal novelty items inventory. A handwritten note explaining why he has this note, and signed by you would do.

Looks like that's what Persistence does alright. I guess we didn't really need to worry about him dying due to being killed by a player, but I was more concerned about what happens after the competition's over.

Let's finish up the party.
>>
No. 415038 ID: 886a4d

We already are a part of the game. We were created within it, we live and die in it and so far there has not a single hint its possible to get out. However with persistence we wouldn't die. Which is a very, very big thing. Players aren't supposed to have it which is one more way we can try to break the system. Furthermore since you can absorb someone who is persistent ... theres an infinite CU generator right there. Imagine having duelist Allison a few dozen times. Each time she spends that CU and then gets it all back. Exponential growth.
>>
No. 415052 ID: bdb3f8

Does this shopkeep remember us from previous stages? Does he remember all of these other competitors? Is his experience being merged down into fewer bodies as rounds continue, to the logical extension that in the end there can be only one? Or is this the only shopkeeper that will remember being our friend?

>Resurrect
She can't seem to, as the shopkeep is alive. She'll be able to test it at the beginning of the stage, however.

She plays music for some time longer, before things die down and she goes to the bar counter.

Scanner shows up, and has numbers for all people. Alison won't be able to remember all of the numbers offhand, so Scanner gives her a sheet of paper with everyone's stats that she can check in the stage, so that she will know everyone's stats as needed.

There doesn't appear to be anyone of note except for the gambler. Worth 1772 CU with 14, 9, 9 body armor weapon, with level 6 absorb, 5 scan, 1 range and 1 knockback, and an extra life. Copies are made and everyone has a sheet, while items are moved so that everyone can carry what novelty things they like.

The remainder of the time is killed as the party winds down. Conversations are had, hug points grinded and friends are made, but otherwise it goes by eventlessly. With nothing else to do, Alison will now enter stage 4.
