NOW yer getting it. I AM the drug. :D
Anyway, yeah, find something to get up to the top of the worm-hole with. Maybe go to the worm bottom, cut out some intestines, and take them back up to use as rope.

Maybe that's part of what the patrol was doing.

Keep climbing up the worm tunnel. It should exit somewhere, maybe up on top. Could have been guards firing those bolts we saw stuck in it.

It's called digging your friggen handholds into the hard clay by shoving a spade into the wall one-handed -- hff -- a technique I said -- hff -- it would take too much time -- hff-- and it is.

You recommended it to me earlier, remember?

... damn.. need rest... arms killing me.

Looks like you're getting closer to the top. There is some greenery growin on the wall there.

Shouldn't be much longer now until you're at the top. Be wary of guard patrols out there though.

Hmn, the dirt behind me isn't clay. Too soft. Remind me next time we're here.

Idunno... you have your point. Someone killed the giant worm -- either demons on their way out, or guards doing some culling. If are the guards, it's not even a good idea to go up so quickly.

But what if they aren't the guards?

Well, it looks like we accomplished what we set out to do. On the other hand, since the secret entrance is right next to a normal entrance, it might be hard to use.

Congratulations on suddenly becoming less purple, by the way.

well, we HAVE to burn the eggs now. this also buts a end to our little pokemon sidequest.

player, if there is any organ that is sellable in the megamegaworm, hack it. also, it may still be alive. prepare for round 2 soon...

we are wanted by the guards and we got a possible shop inhere thanks to a Miss_K. if we leave it will be for a possibly long walk to the next city or in case we level up to 6, we may get to the village with no actual charges on us asides the attack on the guard.

>>163139
well, it has something to do with the guards will do it annyway and giant man eating worms breeding by the dozen.

Nice, now get out of there and mark the spot. Then make your way back to town. You need a bath and to buy some climbing gear.
>>
No. 163202 ID: 3a4a54

Well, Player. Do you have any idea where town is from here? Because I don't really think that you have enough torches to be able to say that you can continue safely.

Of course, you're an adventurer. You eat nails and it comes out pig iron, so if you don't know where town is, get straight back in that hole, you magnificent bastard!

Speaking of which, would you say that having that disease you said you had influenced you being an adventurer and all? 'Cause it sounds like you're a fighter because of a classic case of reaction formation. Basically, timidity turned daring 'cause you're afraid to feel helpless again.

Jeez. I must be the voice of caffeine induced rambling today.
>>
No. 163210 ID: 1685eb

Tch. As much of a shame as it is, Player can deal with the nest on his return trip. Right now, he needs to make his way back to town to sell the stuff he found, preferably surreptitiously.

Sheez, avoiding the guards and the suspicions of the townsfolk all the time is going to be a real bother. Being level 4, not 6, you're going attract attention by staying, since you really don't have a reason to stick around any longer, and having knocked out that one guard, they're going to be on watch for you.

I don't know, really. Manuel might report you for fun, MacLaughing might report you for your own good, even Miss K might report you, but that's just because she's so unpredictable. Mmm. Maybe not, though. I don't know what kind of relationship the villagers have with the guards. I assume it's a good one, since they're protecting them and all, but...Eh.

Perhaps the first person you should go to is Miss K. I think she's the least liable to report you, especially if you admit you screwed up. Then you could ask for her advice on how Manuel and MacLaughing would react if you stuck around and attempted to sell them stuff.
>>

I'm gonna second going to Miss K.
And showing her the DU Core that she insisted was a 'feminine aide'.

If we're going to stay in the village long-term, we should stay with someone who would be sympathetic to Player, understand the importance of our mission, and be willing to bend the rules to help him. Preferabley, a person who Player could get along with for an extended period of time without much difficulty. Do we know anyone like that?
>>
No. 163219 ID: 1ac39d

>>163216
that's why we are insisting Miss k, if we give her enough ancient tech and money she would have no reason to rat us out, she may let us sleep in her house, and player may be able to get into her pants.
>>
No. 163225 ID: 2eac65

>>163219
She's not the kind of person you want to be around for very long. If we're going to ask someone for a place to stay, I'd rather it be someone who won't bite us.

That's a bit longer-term, though. We can still go to her about the artifacts we found.

>>

i wanted to check on the worm in there. you know, make sure its very dead.

well if we are going back to the city can we set the body on fire? its more likely to kill the babies, even because we would need to dig trhu the corpse to get back anyway.

also player needs a shower.

remember to mark on the tree that this is the exit.
>>
No. 163277 ID: 2eac65

No. Don't make any markings. A rock by a giant hole is easy to remember. Leaving a reminder would only compromise its secrecy.
>>
No. 163280 ID: 6a5a08

Just remember the hole into the shaft, should be a good enough landmark. With rope it could also be another entrance/exit, it seems.

I'll leave you guys to decide on that; I just don't care, as long as they don't become megabugs. And with the exits closed, they shouldn't.

I have no idea; it's been way more than an hour down that place.
... but I don 't know many places with a blue roofing around. I must be in between two klicks and a mile from the village.

>Miss K, Manuel, McLaughing, being reported
Well, the consensus seem to be going to Miss K. Maybe with the right chat, she can convince Manuel to not rat me out; or at least, to be my middlewoman.
