brace for mindfuck when the prisioner cell below claims you by undermining your footing.

worms arent known for being fast. i suppose carion works needs to eat carrion.

-fall into cell after failing jump and hitting head on ceiling
-somehow find bunny again
-add to party
-worm comes and eats you both
-kill worm from inside
-be on other side of gap by sheer luck

It's a brilliant plan!

We don't know if demons attacked it. It's got bolts/arrows and scrapes on its body, so something hurt/killed it, sure, but we don't know what. Could be a trap, or other adventurers, as much as it is demons.

Is it, er...Possible to climb the body to get up a level Player? Check if it's alive first, mind you.

Nothing. Either it's dead and passed on, or it's alive and not conscious/sentient/souly enough.

Seeing as the "We hate Inky" crowd is still sore about our last encounter, this is probably a good thing. Not that I think we'll actually ever see the Twin Deaths again. There was indications that last time was under special circumstances.

Now, is the body completely blocking the way up, or what? Because this might be a shortcut to the vents or...Somewhere, at least.
>>
No. 162724 ID: 5f1d34

Gah, time lag again.

There's a shaft ahead of you, as you might see. I can barely see some rope hanging in it there near the top, but you'd have to get closer to see what, and there looks like one of those metal grates might be set in place against the shaft.

Footsteps from where? The shaft?
>>
No. 162726 ID: 059120

>>162722
The tunnel keeps continuing up from here, if you can't see that. As for actually getting up there, maybe you could using the shovel to widen the tunnel a bit? Though the footsteps might be a more pressing concern. Are they from above or below? This thing's got some pretty serious wounds, I'd recommend doing whatever we can to avoid what inflicted them.

Looks like the cause of death is something violently bursting out from the insides of the worm. I wonder who did it and how.

There seems to be a ventilation shaft to the right of you. Could be a metal grate there to keep you out. Go up and check it out.

You're probably going to have to do worse things in your adventurer career. A few monsters aren't that big on chewing, so you might have to do that to a few live ones if you're unlucky.

Be careful and make sure the torch doesn't go out. Finding anything interesting in there btw?
>>

>>162729

Hooray!

Anyway, the shaft is most likely the upper end of the chimney from the torture room given how these tunnels looped back, and whats more we're near the surface. At this level it has quite an irregular wall, good for climbing.

The rope may indicate that the punk entered or exited this way. In fact, it's possible that he has a further companion who helped haul him up on the rope; in doing so his bag may have snagged on the... cross thing, explaining how it got there.

Well, Player. Do you have any idea where town is from here? Because I don't really think that you have enough torches to be able to say that you can continue safely.

Of course, you're an adventurer. You eat nails and it comes out pig iron, so if you don't know where town is, get straight back in that hole, you magnificent bastard!

Speaking of which, would you say that having that disease you said you had influenced you being an adventurer and all? 'Cause it sounds like you're a fighter because of a classic case of reaction formation. Basically, timidity turned daring 'cause you're afraid to feel helpless again.

Jeez. I must be the voice of caffeine induced rambling today.
>>
No. 163210 ID: 1685eb

Tch. As much of a shame as it is, Player can deal with the nest on his return trip. Right now, he needs to make his way back to town to sell the stuff he found, preferably surreptitiously.

Sheez, avoiding the guards and the suspicions of the townsfolk all the time is going to be a real bother. Being level 4, not 6, you're going attract attention by staying, since you really don't have a reason to stick around any longer, and having knocked out that one guard, they're going to be on watch for you.

I don't know, really. Manuel might report you for fun, MacLaughing might report you for your own good, even Miss K might report you, but that's just because she's so unpredictable. Mmm. Maybe not, though. I don't know what kind of relationship the villagers have with the guards. I assume it's a good one, since they're protecting them and all, but...Eh.

Perhaps the first person you should go to is Miss K. I think she's the least liable to report you, especially if you admit you screwed up. Then you could ask for her advice on how Manuel and MacLaughing would react if you stuck around and attempted to sell them stuff.

i wanted to check on the worm in there. you know, make sure its very dead.

well if we are going back to the city can we set the body on fire? its more likely to kill the babies, even because we would need to dig trhu the corpse to get back anyway.

also player needs a shower.

remember to mark on the tree that this is the exit.

No. Don't make any markings. A rock by a giant hole is easy to remember. Leaving a reminder would only compromise its secrecy.

Just remember the hole into the shaft, should be a good enough landmark. With rope it could also be another entrance/exit, it seems.

In any case, those baby worms sure aren't going to starve.

You know maybe you should change your clothes. You're still awfully pink and I can't imagine clothes with dried in worm blood are very comfortable.

>less pink
Just enough for me to feel like a human being again. I really hope I can remove this new tint, I like this shirt.

>burn the nest
>no need!
I'll leave you guys to decide on that; I just don't care, as long as they don't become megabugs. And with the exits closed, they shouldn't.

>baby worms, aren't going to starve
That's two parts disturbing and five slices of true.

>where
I have no idea; it's been way more than an hour down that place.
... but I don 't know many places with a blue roofing around. I must be in between two klicks and a mile from the village.

>Miss K, Manuel, McLaughing, being reported
Well, the consensus seem to be going to Miss K. Maybe with the right chat, she can convince Manuel to not rat me out; or at least, to be my middlewoman.
Damn, this mess is way bigger than just getting in and out. I really made my bed this time.

>don't!
Its a trapdoor under a rock by the side of a giant ventilation shaft. I don 't think I'll have any trouble finding it again.

>change clothes
Fuck yes. Seriously, those fairytales about princes killing dragons to run into the princesses' arms were written by complete virgins, I tell you. The only thing I wanna hug now is a river.

Hmnf, too bad there's none around.
