Maya, how able are you to not go home tonight? I know that sounds like a bad idea. But its seems like you're at the end of your rope and need to make a change. spending time somewhere new, doing things different, seems like it should do some good.

you really should tho- okay not a hospital, but like one of those urgent care places. They can't force you to go to a hospital but they could tell you if you'll die otherwise. Like not psychology I mean if you've got a brain bleed or something.

I think that things have already changed pretty significantly. Now that you've met Jaden and Swiss Cheese, you can try to keep them in your life, and that should break up the monotony pretty well. You have friends now! One of them is even your age (probably)!

But OK, Maya, I understand that you have some bad experiences with hospitals. Is there any circumstance in which you'd feel comfortable getting your head looked at? You are probably concussed, and that's not going to help your problems. Is there somewhere you can go for attention that isn't a hospital? With a doctor you trust? With Swiss or Jaden there?

Speaking of Jaden, looks like he's having a time of it, too. I don't think that pouncing him is a good idea, but a little reassuring contact might be nice. Pat him on the back or grip his shoulder lightly and tell him that Swiss did a good job patching you up. After you've assured him that you're not in imminent danger, ask how he's doing. He should probably get looked at, too, even if he's not as torn up as you are. Maybe he knows a place that's not the hospital that might still be able to offer some assistance with head issues. A sports medicine clinic, maybe?

Give Jaden a thumbs up if you wish to avoid contact and say you agree without.

Ask Jaden if there are non-hospital places nearby that can check you for more serious injuries.

You can just say, with honesty, that hospital-like places are a phobia.

And maybe ask Swiss to look over Jaden too.

Browse google maps (or an equivalent internet map) of the town. You can look up your school (and from there, employees/teachers), your home, your current location, clinics, public transportation (bus routes) as well as phone numbers to any of them.

You can also look up Swiss's boy scout troupe.

DO NOT look up anything sketchy like porn, this is a public area and the owner/other people can later see what was browsed, or kids might stumble on it later. It might be pre-blocked anyway.
