It seems to be rather hard to kill Terezi.

Oh I guess hussie is finally acknowledging that Jade and a handful of other characters were explicitly told what this entire adventure was about and would entail several years ago and then proceeded to not do anything about it at all.

What are you talking about?

That thing jade mentioned about the dream bubble? that happened. Jade was there as well as several other characters who were, IIRC, dead at the time. It specifically said that they were about to meet somebody who would explain everything that the game was about to them and they would be able to find out what they needed to do, then it cut away and none of the characters who were there ever acted on whatever they were told off-camera until Jade is just now telling stories about it.

Ah, I remember that now. Aradia was guiding them through the dream bubbles, right?

Well, that was a legitimately good plot twist. Surprising, but it was built up well, and it makes sense given what we already knew.

Also, things are on sale. If there's any merchandise you've had your eye on, now's a good time to get it!

Karkat can't fly, but he's surrounded by people with rocket packs.

Forgetful author? Or just not funny anymore?

I don't understand.

You realize that the others can fly because they're God Tier, right?

• It was established that they can alchemise things on the 3 year meteor trip (Rose makes booze).

• Terezi has rocket wings (Code: PSWOOOOP) http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Rocket

Duplicating those for Karakat and Kanaya should have been simple.

Are Trolls are pathologically incapable of asking for help? I only just finished reading Homestuck this week and it's something I'm suspecting right now.

why is Vriska the worst troll

The boring but accurate answer is that she was forced to kill other kid trolls or be eaten by her lusus.
It messed her up quite permanently.

Who cares about that though? She's buggered off. After this week-long break we get to see the Strider 'bros' have their synchronous mental breakdowns. Woo!

Curious thing, this story.

I'd been reading it from the beginning. Back in the day, before Act 6, I was pretty much the biggest fan, loved everything about it. Then Act 6 came and the story began to put me off, and all these delays and poor pacing and more than one gigantic pause pretty much destroyed my interest forever. I was now in the state where I'd only really read it to see through the end.

And yet, every once in a while, when a good update - such as the latest one - comes out, it pulls me back inside again, and I'm 100% into the story.

Hussie, I tip my hat to you.

It's done.

Act 7 is here.

The long journey has finally come to an end.

I wouldn't say "came to an end"

I'd say the long journey "stopped".

For some reason it feels rushed. Like, after all these years, you'd think the end would've been more than that.

But there's still epilogues to be come, which I'd guess would be about on the level of Problem Sleuth, so that's gonna be good.

I still don't even know what happened to Lord English.
>>
No. 27744 ID: 5ad4a7

Well, you can extrapolate that the four B1 kids came out of the white house and killed Lord English. Especially since the Green Sun is gone, and LE should be stripped of most of his powers.
More importantly, Gamzee is still in the fucking fridge.

Another loose plot thread is of course where those four B1 kids came from in the first place. In order for things to make any sense at all John must have decided, AFTER BEATING THE GAME, to go back with all his friends and try to kill Lord English as a kid. Also he used retcon powers to do it, which makes me wonder, WHAT DID CALIBORN EVEN USE THE JUJU ON BEFORE THE RETCON?! Also his first defeat against Jake is in that fight, despite him clearly having lost to Jake *before the retcon*. Shit doesn't make any sense.

>I still don't know what even happened to Lord English
He took off the Cario Overcoat, which enables his time powers, during Collide, so he could do a proper shirtless beatdown. Calliope destroyed the Green Sun, disabling his Space powers. The cracks in spacetime he'd been creating finally breached, creating a Pocket leading to the black hole. A black hole that, without Time or Space powers, you can't really escape from. Sure, he won't DIE, but trapping the 8 ball in the corner pocket forever is about good enough. Unfortunately, it takes all of the dead trolls with it too, but they were dead already anyway.
>>
No. 27746 ID: 1d9723

>>27745

Lord English doesn't have any personal connection to the Green Sun, though? Doc Scratch did, and LE popped out of his corpse, but we never saw any evidence for LE having green sun-derived powers himself. All previous green sun-powered characters had a distinctive visual effect associated with it, which he didn't have.

Even if you do accept a "well if you think about it it makes sense" aspect to the whole thing, which is questionable to begin with, it still seems to be a terribly unsatisfying ending.

>>
No. 27748 ID: 5ad4a7

It occurs to me that Lord English doesn't even seem to use time powers. Like, okay, yes, he's mostly invincible. And he can teleport around via his fancy sarcophagus/coat. But he doesn't actually seem to time travel. The only "time travel" he does is send his soul all over the place via Lil' Cal.

It can be assumed he HAS some sort of time powers because he managed to pass his dumb planet-pool quest despite so much being stacked against him, but we never see him do anything except hit things with his crowbar as a kid and use generic energy attacks as an "adult".

You do recall that he only appears into a given universe right at the very end of it, and from there on he proceeds to travel wherever and whenever he wants? The whole thing about him being already here?

Given how Hussie essentially wrote the whole thing by ear from start to finish, I can't help but wonder how much of this was actually planned by him and how much is fans overanalyzing things.
>>
No. 27760 ID: 4854ef

>>27745
That's the thing, if he's a Lord of Time why would he even need the outfit to perform time Shenanigans to begin with.
>>
No. 27761 ID: 5ad4a7

>>27753
A lot of it is fans overanalyzing things. A good amount of it is Hussie just cheating heavily via callbacks to random details he didn't originally plan on being important. SOME of it is planned ahead of time though.
