You stand in what appears to be a deserted classroom. It's clear this place hasn't been taken care of in a long, long time. Just a few moments ago, you woke up with no memories on how you got here, or more importantly why you're here. Memories in general are a huge blur, almost like a faint dream. You have a feeling it's going to be a long day.

What do you do?

It appears it is. It's surprising you haven't noticed it until now, but then again, you aren't the most observant person around. It usually takes someone pointing it out for you to notice things. You feel more frightened then before.

You check your INVENTORY. You have a #3 KEY and a NOTE. Sadly, you do not have a phone.

You look through the desk. You find a PENCIL and GUM (3). You put them in your INVENTORY.

New items in your INVENTORY are marked by yellow dashes.

How many exits from this room? Is there enough dust on the floor to back-trace your own footprints?

Determine if you're a boy or a girl!

You should also check your pockets. See if you have a phone or wallet or anything else that might contain identifying information, since you can't remember who you are.

Next thing to do would be to explore your surroundings. What's around you?

You can't see any dust or footprints.

You look down your shirt, there's no breasts and you're not wearing a bra. You don't know why you bothered checking since you already knew you were a BOY.

You already checked. You have a #3 KEY, a NOTE, a PENCIL and GUM (3).

You look around the room. There's a bunch of student desks and one teachers desk in back. You have a feeling that the student desks contain nothing of importance. Also there's no windows in the room, the bloodstain is on a white board.

>Read NOTE
>Hug BAT

You read the note, giving your BAT an awkward one arm hug as you do so.

"Greetings.
You are probably wondering who you are, and how you got here. That's not important.
What is important is how you leave.
There are others like you. In order to leave, you must be the last one standing.
I'm not going to lie, there are other ways to escape. You can work together and find a way out.
This will take time. Time that you may not have. The longer you stay here, the more SHADOWS appear.
Besides, not everyone here has the same pacifist nature as you.
Be careful of SHADOWS. Be careful of OTHERS. And most importantly of all, be careful of DREAMS.
-The DEAN."

So some sicko took your memories and is trying to manipulate you into killing each other for their entertainment. Great.

>>
No. 666937 ID: ad936f

The first or second person you meet will end up being the only one you can trust, also possibly your love interest, that is just how these things go. In the end you will either escape together with them, or be tragically forced to watch them make the ultimate sacrifice. You may also meet one or two other friendlies who will die off early. If you are meant to take the "escape together" route then you will likely meet a tough, but kind friendly with a troubled past, and he will make the ultimate sacrifice. All of this is known. Don't trust anyone who's face you can't see. If you see anything that could be described as a SHADOW then run away fast, if you are ever able to fight them it will be late in the game and/or with the help of a powerful ally. Don't bother worrying about DREAMS, you'll only be able to understand and/or do something about them after they have already done something nasty to you, it won't be irreversible, however.

Thinking about the note a bit, if everyone here read the same note... Saying that 'not everyone here has the same pacifist nature as you' brings about a sense of paranoia to people who probably are okay people to begin with. Unnecessarily thinking that everyone is out to kill you when they aren't would bring pointless fear unless a participant wasn't a pacifist beforehand.

That's probably what the girl is feeling. Tell her the note is most likely a bluff that way and that you're sincerely not out to kill her.

>>
No. 667044 ID: 1cebc8

Begin by searching for a place to use those keys. It's obvious that they mean something, if only as an identification tool. Compare your keys to each other, see if they are made of the same material or share the same code pattern.

Remember, this is a school. There is intel and supplies all around you, but any enemies inside here will anticipate your early stages of development and set up ambush sites in places that confused and panicked people would go to first, meaning that the library and kitchen are bad ideas. Instead, look inside the classrooms for books and bash open the lockers for food.

>So... we should expect at least 4 others, then.

Most likely around 8 others. Statistically, random samples from a set of unique serial numbers will come from the middle of the overall range (the allies in WW2 used this technique to figure out a lot about German industrial capacity by looking at tank wreckage), and if they're all single-digit that implies zero through nine or one through nine.

Shake hands with the girl. Promise not to attack her except as a last resort of self-defense, and propose a broader policy of extracting the same promise from any other contestants either of you encounter.

You promise SIX that you will not attack her unless she attacks you first. You sincerly are not trying to hurt her or anybody, and you don't want it to come down to that. You shake her hand reassuringly, she smiles a little. It seems like she's beginning to trust you.

SIX finishes up examining the keys. You discover that aside from the number and the bottom part, they are exactly the same and are made of the same material. You could either go to the RIGHT or to the LEFT. The RIGHT is where SIX came from, and the hallways continues down for a little bit before reaching a CORNER. You can't tell what lies beyondd the CORNER. The LEFT is where you come from, and the hallway continues much further down. You see nothing of danger, and there are a few more classrooms to explore.

Head down the hall to the left, checking rooms as you go. If the initial spacing between contestants is consistent, I'd expect to find at least one of the others that way.

When dealing with a door, one person opens door and peeks through, the other watches their back / the hall.

Your time constraints right now are dehydration, sleep, and hunger, in about that order. Keep an eye out for functional drinking fountains, janitorial closets, and especially any fire exit signs. Check rooms as you pass them but don't spend more than a couple minutes on each, and don't make noise or overexert yourself unless you find something really interesting.
