Since there are fish in the water, it's probably free from parasites.

There's moss and a few types of plants, here... The trees are tall, but Leyla thinks her tree is the biggest.

If you're concerned about parasites or disease, you could always boil the water before drinking- you did have a fireplace, flint, and a pot or pan of some kind.

But yeah, drinking water: found. And a possible food source, although we'd have to improvise a net or fishing pole (or hope you're agile enough to just grab a fish).

Kind of makes sense. If you're going to hollow a home out of a tree, you'd pick the biggest one around to do it.

Right gather some water, shoot some fish. Then climb your tree to get a good view of the surroundings.

If you're going to go arrow fishing two things
1 the water will bend light slightly so the fish might not be where it appears to be so try and figure that out before you start shooting
2 it helps if you tie a string or something around the arrow so you can drag the fish back in

Oh honestly how else have you survived for the past how-ever long suck it up.

life feeds life, the fish has eaten bugs before, it has killed as well, but it did so because it was hungry. you can honor the fish by not wasting it and thanking it for it's sacrifice to you.

As I didn't see any fruit trees and The bow and arrow is a weapon primarily for hunting game I seriously doubt this is going to be the last itme you will have to kill your supper. Its the way the world works. You kill to eat or you die. at least as long as you don't have sustainable plant life and a way to grow things in winter time.

then respect the fish don't let it go to waste turn it into a good hearty diner so it didn't die in vain

What is done is done. If you wish to live without harming life, you can, by making use of edible fruits in the area, if there are any. But for now, you have a fish to cook. You killed it for food, you should at least see it through to the end.

A moment ago it was like she just tore her soul in two or something. It was sad. But now she feels better because she didn't actually kill the fish! Just... Caused it... Excruciating pain.
Guilt.

Oh geeze. You have the power to bring things back to life? Maybe you are a god.

But still. Um. If you can't go fishing, what are you going to eat? Kind of hard to do vegetarianism with just hunter-gathering. Really need agriculture. And I'm pretty sure ravens need meat.

ok what you just did there, that was impressive but we still need food, think either you or Nythrul could find a berry bush of some kind or a fruit tree.

Leyla is pulled from her thoughts as Nythrul comes flitting through the trees.
"Hurt," he squawks. "Hurt!" He somehow manages to slip a peck in and catch Leyla on the top of the head. "Follow!" he demands, sliding between the trees again.

Well, follow the familiar. If someone or something is hurt, you can do the thing you did before to the fish again.

crap something done and gone hurt itself, guess we're the forest's medic or something. Oh well lets go see who or what needs some fixing.

Um, If those plants are what I think they are, (lily of the valley,) then do not eat them, ever, they are deadly poisonous and cause abdominal pain, vomiting and reduced heart-rate in even tiny quantities, anything more is deadly. Of course, if you're some kind of god, that may not apply, but still.

Now go see what got your raven upset.

Leyla grabs a handful of the flowers and stuffs them into her quiver. They'll be crushed, but... That won't matter, right..?

She races after Nythrul, making haste. If something has been hurt... She finds it difficult to bear the thought of it, whatever it is, laying (or... doing whatever it may) there in deep pain. Or not. Injured.

She comes to a tree, after a time, draped in vines and low hanging branches. A stag seems to stand guard here. Other animals seem to be further away and wary (Leyla's fast paced approach probably didn't help), but the Stag stays. It looks her over, and only once Leyla tosses her bow and quiver to the ground does it concede and allow entry.

aw crap arrow, aren't those thing made so they tear flesh when someone tries to pull them out? still if you think you can heal it even with a slightly agape wound then we should act sooner rather then later, if not...uh.

Also can your powers numb pain as well as heal wounds?

it's in the leg though, did it go through? or would pushing it make it go through? if so then pushing would do less damage. and break off the back end with the feathery bit.

...you didn't fire that arrow. That means there's another person somewhere around here.
