I guess it was for best that Cheren didn't risk attacking them, being captured and upgraded with mechanical parts.

Whats the state of the occupied territory that we are in? Do the bolds enforce law and to what extent? Seeing as the Kathartes are going down the road in plain sight in a slow ass wagon (compared to cars) I'm assuming they are tolerated by the bolds.

I wonder how Emma sari and Amadoobus are doing? As for Cheren, it makes me sad to see a lady drinking, but whatever makes her happy I guess.

Out in the borderlands where Cheren is there's no law to speak of, the cutebolds roll though in armed convoys every now and again. They aren't generally looking for targets but they won't ignore one if it shows up.
There's usually a garrison of sorts in controlled towns as well.
