Because the other discussion thread was for Strange bedfellows and was kind of cluttered, I guess?

Either way, feel free to discuss who to eat / fuck / fuck and eat here.

Also, vote for best husbando! (I mean, there’s like only one other girl introduced yet so…)

Alrighty, good to hear.
Might wanna mention that arguments are more for disthread than the quest itself in your next quest post.

Kaktus, is there any real logic behind when Ema gets too hungry? It seems arbitrary and unpredictable. Nothing we've done has worked to manage it.

Question: why aren't the swords directing Ema towards older and weaker sinners more often? Everyone she has eaten so far has been relatively young and hip.

>Kaktus, is there any real logic behind when Ema gets too hungry? It seems arbitrary and unpredictable.
The three major factors are time, power usage and sheer gluttony.
She will get hungrier over time, which is pretty obvious, but she will also need to feed more often the more she uses her powers, so things like regrowing limbs will pretty much starve her.
She will also react to the presence of really evil people, as her body really wants to enact Justice upon them and thus it makes itself hungry to force her to feed.

>Question: why aren't the swords directing Ema towards older and weaker sinners more often? Everyone she has eaten so far has been relatively young and hip.
The only one the sword is directing her towards is whoever is responsible for the slaughter of her village. As for old, evil people, they are generally people with power and not some thug running around in the street, thus making them harder targets to find. Heck, the baroness is supposed to be someone that’s beyond their middle age.
>Too easy, and not fun to fuck.
Also, that.

I'm somewhat off put by Athena's looks.
I get she's a weird hybrid, but everyone knows that bird + lizard = velociraptor, not "normal lizard with feathers".

smh my head, Kaktus.

Hey, Kaktus, I enjoy your quests, but lately it feels like you're needlessly slowing things down for some reason.

Because it feels like everytime we want to do something, we're always interrupted by 9 or 10 different things all at the exact same time before we get a chance to do the 1 thing we wanted to do. Couldn't you just let us do something without any complications for once?

Like what's happening right now. All we had to do was go into Tertian's house, grab what we needed, and get out. Then we got interrupted by the bug on a drug. Now I'm just waiting for the other 8 or 9 interruptions before we can finally get what we want and leave. And then get some more interruptions before we finally get to sleep.

>Hey, Kaktus, I enjoy your quests, but lately it feels like you're needlessly slowing things down for some reason.
The main reason is probably because of my awful posting schedule recently. When everything takes something like three days to even start to resolve then even small discretions gets cumbersome. That and the bad schedule make me come up with too much unnecessary crap between updates. I hope I’ll get some motivation back and start updating more regular in the future.

>I'm somewhat off put by Athena's looks. I get she's a weird hybrid, but everyone knows that bird + lizard = velociraptor, not "normal lizard with feathers".
Personally, I’m not too happy with her either. The main problem is that she’s supposed to look like Xuv, but her design doesn’t work as well without the skull. I’ve think I’ve said it before, but she might get a design overhaul in the future if she gets a bigger role in the quest.

>Needs more foodstuff mugs. I suggest you trace over some food porn.
I might just make a few more food mugs in the future, just to enable multiple unnamed enemies in one conversation. Maybe one for each species? Hmm…
>Foodporn is the only thing that turns me on.
Foodporn really heats up my… oven… because I get hungry. But you do you.

This quest is full of lies!

"Eat people to gain powers" is one of the main things this quest promises and yet, we haven't gotten any new powers! The only thing we got were memories of old lives, memories of people we ate, and the forms of the people we ate to turn into.

We can't even use Terroza's fire magic, even though we have her memories, because Kaktus said, "No you can't use her magic because you don't know how to use magic. But instead you can have a chance of Terroza's personality taking control of you!"

Come on! If we have Terroza's memories, then we should also have her memories of how to use her magic! Let us use her fire magic!

Or at least give us some new undead ability we can use, like being able to paralyze people from long range by locking eyes with them or being able to hypnotize someone into telling us what we want to know or just give us something so that we don't have to keep trying five hundred different things to get a single scrap of information that we need to progress the story!

Why are a bunch of suggesters intent on outing Ema to Corvus, a stranger of unknown motives and attitude? It'll so likely go bad and then we're stuck up shit creek 'cause Corvus is too pure for Ema to scarf him down to keep him from blowing her cover and bringing the guards down on her.

Because it was funny.

But the real question is, now that we know we can combine forms, once we interrogate all of the info out of them, how thicc will we be when we combine all three of the thicc thief thots forms?

>"Eat people to gain powers" is one of the main things this quest promises and yet, we haven't gotten any new powers!
You guys did choose to focus on strength at the beginning, so Ema has been steadily become stronger and a faster eater as the quest goes on. The second fight with Karn was supposed to show this off, but people didn’t want to show off any inhuman strength (Insakkilian strength?), making it a lot more even instead of the curbstomp battle it would have been. Ema has gone from just being able to throw a persona few meters and having to paralyze and slowly eat someone to ripping apart safes with her bare hands and eating people in mid-fall, after all.
>We can't even use Terroza's fire magic.
That would be something a more intelligent person would be able to do. Ema instead learned about her strength magic.
>Kaktus has been roadblocking us a lot more in this quest than in others.
I’m sorry you feel that way. I’ve not trying to go out of my way to block any path, but this quest has recently been rather slow and stale with its plot. I’ve tried to remedy this by rushing a bit through the Uredo / library thing, so we’ll see if things get a bit better.

>It feels nice knowing that my silly alliteration has become a running joke now.
Bad busty bandit bird babes deserves dauntless diabolical diatribes.
>But the real question is, now that we know we can combine forms, once we interrogate all of the info out of them, how thicc will we be when we combine all three of the thicc thief thots forms?
Why stop at three when we can go even further? Maybe add a bit of Justina to the mix and sprinkle some Tertian on top. Let’s create the bum to end all bums! LET IT BECOME THE BUM TO END ALL WORLDS!

>Maybe add a bit of Justina to the mix
Not yet. She hasn't really done anything to deserve getting eaten.

>and sprinkle some Tertian on top.
I don't think a Varkian and Sakkilian hybrid form would be good for us to use. We'd have to keep ourselves completely covered all the time, just like Athena.

>Let’s create the bum to end all bums! LET IT BECOME THE BUM TO END ALL WORLDS!
I am both terrified and amused at the thought of doing that.

So we can’t Falcon Fire Punch anyone? That sucks!

>>131011

>We’d always have to completely covered like Athena.
I’ve gotta agree. We’re trying to not stand out too much.

Hey, speaking of Athena, didn’t Kaktus mention giving her a design overhaul? I was thinking of how that could be explained in the quest and I thought of something.

She was looking for transformation potions in Oran’s shop, right? What if they weren’t for making her look like a regular Sakkilian? Maybe the potion is for keeping her current hybrid form? And when the potion wears off, she changes back to her normal form, which can be Kaktus’ new overhauled design for her.

How does that sound?

>Create the ultimate bum!
Couldn't we spread it all around instead of focusing only on the bum? Like, we could make a more well-rounded (literally) form, to create a fat Varkian lady.

I could see us being able to pull off a jolly fat Varkian lady with a "D'ohohohoho" anime laugh.

>>131045
No, Corvus' brother's name is- er- was Corvak. Ema thought about him midway through >>/quest/943155 and his name was also in the first thread of the quest.

>>131044
But also in >>/quest/943155 Ema mentioned that she didn't think that Corvak and Corvus' father was in Dalriver at the time of the massacre. Their father's name might be, or might have been, Karkan Inkfeather.

Ema also remembered that Corvus and Corvak's father traveled all the time back then and that he is (or was) black feathered while their mother was wasn't. (I'm using both the present and past tenses because we don't know if their father is still alive.)
>>
No. 131048 ID: b1b4f3

And Corvus decided to drop his family name... either to put Dalriver behind him or because of some disagreement with his father.
I have a feeling we'll be meeting Karkan at some point.
>>
No. 131049 ID: e6f10c

>>131048
With how much he was away from Dalriver, it's possible that he put his family there to keep 'em safe from whatever he was doing. Considering the quote from the start of thread 4, he may be (or have been) a vampire hunter or he's (or was) somehow involved in destroying or attempting to enslave Yate's kind.

Of course this is a whole lot of speculation and it might just pan out that he was a travelling merchant or some other benign job that kept him away from his family and Dalriver for almost all the time back then.

Of course Oran still refuses to change. Even after all the warnings, he's still being an idiot. He even refused to change when we were controlling him that one time!

It's almost like Kaktus is purposefully making Oran act like an idiot because he doesn't want us to try and help certain characters become better people. I refuse to believe that Oran is dumb enough to continue making drugs when an undead monster is telling him to stop and has threatened him multiple times!

That's some really bad writing.
>>
No. 131055 ID: b1b4f3

Oran's problem is that he's greedy, lies habitually, and has very little sympathy for others.

I *was* put off that we convinced him to stop selling drugs while controlling him, then that got retconned or something.

>Oran's problem is that he's greedy, lies habitually, and has very little sympathy for others.
That’s true, but shouldn’t something as important as wanting to not die override all of that and get him to stop? Because you’d think a death threat would’ve worked the first time and not need to be repeated like we’ve been doing with Oran.

Still doesn't change the fact that threatening to punish Karn for Oran's actions is wrong. We shouldn't have done that.
