Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on my quest/Discussion and for that I apologize. It’s been fairly busy. Any way, hope the momentary pause hasn’t been too long!

By the way can I get anyone something to drink?

Kind of! I have axes, knives and spears you throw at boards, but the majority of the rules for darts still applies. Want me to set you up with some? It’s free to play! Also I would appreciate it if you don’t troll my bar with that song, alright John Mulaney? I don’t want to have Jack throw you out of here, kay?

Okay so I’ve had a question about how my dice system is working for the quest and I figure I would answer it here.

There will be times when we add modifiers for the rolls but for the most part this is just a simplified version. However what I have in place is something like an exploding dice rule, if you roll a 20, you are allowed to roll again for another action, in this case it was an attack. That attack was also a 20, meaning that those Draugar, just got wrecked. And because two 20’s in a row is kinda amazing I decided to have some fun with this and give you guys a free power up for your great luck.

I've noticed a couple of people keep linking songs in my quest, the only thing I have to say about this is, keep doing it.

Seriously, I really enjoy hearing the music you associate with my work. It's actually one of the reasons I don't put music in my quest. I want the reader to have their own image and music playing in their heads. It's always fun to hear what you guys are thinking with them.

By the way this is a Jack, he’s my bar’s cook and occasional bouncer! I’m actually thinking if putting up an Irish theme for St. Patrick’s Day, maybe open the place up a bit more

in other words create an Irish pub collab for St. Patrick’s day, one can only imagine the antics quest characters can get up to in a bar

Isla MacBlair

Also the other thing I’m going to change is the halberd. Halberds didn’t come around until the 14th century, and northlander is taking place in the early 7th century. Soooo.... yeah she can have a great axe, or a really long ass spear. OR BOTH! But not a halberd.

Why i thought that you would never ask!
I have always been a sucker for archers, and giving where we are in the story, i did my research and i think it would be totaly posible to make a welsh archer, with a longbow. The kind that is so fucking big that you basicaly have to deform you arm to use it.
>>
No. 125270 ID: 318377

>>125266
That would definitely be possible! I’ve actually had the idea for a welsh character that takes after his more romanized ancestors.

I knew it! That is so cool. Is this welsh lad inspired on Askeladd perhaps?
>>
No. 125277 ID: 1127ed

>>125275
Actually no, there may be some similarities but he would actually hate the Angles and Saxons more than the Danes. For one I picture this character as being the third son of a welsh lord who styles himself as more Roman than Celt. And he would have a deep hatred of the Saxons who pushed the Welsh eastward out of their own parts of Britain. I actually like the ideaof him being an archer even more now, it gives him more than just “young lord” for an identity.
>>
No. 125281 ID: eeb7d9

>>125277
I was actually thinking that this character should be pretty, or at least young and handsome, with a calm personality.
So he would be more like a Roman Canute then?
>>
No. 125282 ID: 1127ed

>>125281
Young and handsome for certain, maybe even the envy of his brothers. But not so helpless as Canute was at first. Because the deal with younger sons of lords, they would often either go into the military or the clergy. Obviously if he is an archer then the military was what he went into.
