I can’t take the silence anymore. The walls no longer creak, the clock no longer ticks.
I find myself forgetting reality.
Simple things, meaningful things.
The Abyss beckons to me. But I can’t…

I need to distract myself, even for a moment.
But I can’t think of what to write.

Embrace: Others ((As much as things have been contested by potency, Empathy is our true power.))
LIGHT

ruin
((These brown words are new, possibly the dead god's? The other color we have seen is Light's yellow. Regardless they are not either of the Thoughts so I wish to use them. White's words seem relevant, so I have included them, but have given them minimal intensity.))

Also, Divine new god's shape, the "glimmer" our Vessel "can’t quite reach", our finished writing project, the Abyss, and the desk once more. ((We have more potency now; lets see if it makes a difference)) ((all but certainly Etzil/Errant Signal is not here and not in the Beyond, the only other place we know is the Abyss...))

>Embrace: Others
>EMBRACE: Others
We…

We yield this Potency.
Our existence spent broken has changed us.
And perhaps remade us.

We will not change back.

>(Empathy solidified)

The alien thoughts quiet down.
And I can hear myself again.

I think I feel…
remorse.
But I know it isn’t mine.

We will embrace others.

Everything settles within my mind.
I feel…
valued.

>What the heck is our rightful place anyway? Is there a King of Beings...? Labyrinth seemed to be in charge of the Beyond.
No, not King of Beings…

The blood makes us human
makes us more than human
makes us human no more.

We were…
a usurper.
A rising star.
Our rightful place…
was to be to be taken over the Ves-
Mortals.
And to dethrone the residing king…

But what happened to our acolytes?
Our V-
Followers?

>LIGHT, Ruin, change, dreams, Lost

I take the quill and then bury it deep into the page.
Regardless of everything LIGHT has been there.

And there is no greater way I can convey it.

I may be lost. I may be… different.
But the LIGHT is there!
I can see it! I can feel it!

And ma
ybe… in my dreams I can Seek it.

For once in a long while, I do not feel scared.
I do not feel trapped.
My life is not ruined, and I can feel those thoughts break away around me.

I can fight back.
I can maybe even…
win.

And it’s thanks to the light within me.
The light that came to me in my dreams and rescued my soul.

I am finding my way out…
I am.

I am.

>Divine the dead god’s shape.
There was once one who revelled in destruction.
He would look down upon his people and witness the violence they would inflict on one another.
Violence that they would commit in
His honor.
Every morning they were born.
Every night they would die.
For
Him there was nothing greater.

Yet as ages passed, some would break away from
His teachings.
At first they were killed along with the rest.

But every morning they were born.
And every evening they would build.

Soon, there was no more need for violence.
No need for
Him.

He would not allow it and sought to destroy them.
They did not allow it, and in doing so destroyed themselves.

There was never another morning.

And
He...

Starved.

>Divine our finished writing project.
There is Potency within these words.
Created in the making, but only accessible in the reading.

We cannot claim it.

But this message will bolster the one who receives it.

Yet there is something else…

There is the influence of
two others within this work:
First, a growing
Light that intend to guide.
Second, a vacuous
Emptiness that is watching from the wings.

Their selection slowly alters the balance.

Yes. I Remember.

Is this what you need?
Do you need this substance to survive?

I guess soup won’t be enough…

I can try both ways, and so do out of sight.

My teeth had fallen out a while ago, and have been replaced with much sharper ones.

I put both fingers into my mouth.

((Some things need to be decided upon.))

>What was the Name the Mortal told you?
>((The Mortal is male)).

>While the Mortal rests you are able to do one of the following:
1. Remember one aspect of the Mortal’s past, pick carefully.

3. Launch a preemptive strike on the Meat Demon and attempt to Excise its Corruption.

>And with the chapter concluded, I invite you to pick one of the three possible interludes:
“Interrogating the Past”
“Lost in the Present”
or “Preparing for the Future.”
