Okay, uh....

Okay this is probably going to sound bad, so do not panic. If you are experiencing altered states of consciousness and episodes in which you draw things like.... that, and don't remember them, and have night terrors about horrible monsters, I suspect you are projecting your consciousness into other realms of existence.

On the bright side, the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of creatures on the 'other side' should simply be too alien to interact with or understand you, and are probably just as frightened of you as you are of them.

On the down side, you are experiencing altered states of consciousness and blackouts. Leave a message with your doctor right away.

In the mean time, the most essential thing is to do normal activities. As a long term sufferer of panic attacks and depression myself, the simplest way to alleviate them is to occupy your mind with something such as a videogame, or in the best case, the company of a friend or loved one.

Oh, and don't look in the mirror. Seriously, do not look in mirrors. The mind plays tricks on its own senses, and mirrors play tricks on the mind, so looking into any given mirror will make your anxiety spike. Trust me on this one, don't look at them at night, even as a joke.

"Hmmm lemme see. Ah yes, Charlotte. You were prescribed Anti-X correct?"

Yes. Um, I took one last night before bed and one this morning.

"This morning? Did something happen last night after your first dose?"

Do I come clean or try to word this in a way that won't come off as completely hysterical?

"Oh dear. That's certainly not good. This was after you took the first pill?"

I think so. I can't...recall taking the first one at night, I remember getting upset and then having the dream. I woke up on the floor this morning and took my first proper dose.

(This is pretty close to the truth, not gonna say I took the pill in my dream, he'll think I'm sleep-popping the things.)

>Dr. Albert is quiet for a few minutes, Charlotte can hear him messing with his papers again and talking to himself before getting back on the phone.

After that I was in some kind of barren land scape that looked like nothing I would find on earth but before I could take in the sights some kind of thorn monster started chasing me. No. 788293 ID: 8cb228

Well, shit. It's going to be super hard to determine the percentage 'base reality', the percentage 'extra-dimensional interference', and the percentage 'brain-derived hallucination'.

Alright. Well, there's nothing for it: you have to act as if your senses are telling you the truth for the most part, assign probabilities based on prior experiences to a given phenomena being a hallucination (and act accordingly, while allowing for the penalty of behaving incorrectly, given a false positive), while simultaneously checking for chances to drill down to a more objective form of reality.

Look around, get your bearings, try to identify what's around you, see what mobility and faculties you have. What's your emotional state, do the things you see seem to have a greater than normal emotional impact than they otherwise should?
No. 788330 ID: 79a07e

No. 788746 ID: f1c749

OK, so. You have your usual reality here, right? Now imagine there's a part of it that's made up of anxiety-induced hallucinations. We don't know which is which, or what the ratio of reality:hallucination is.
Now add something else that can manipulate reality, our reality, and is actively fucking with us. Now, we don't know if this is a third party, or is it just another part of our psyche that's messing with itself - and suddenly what's real and what's not gets cloudy.
What you need to do is take one thing that you believe is real, the realest of the real, and remember that it's real. This is grounding yourself in reality. Remember this knowledge, for this will be your shield. Once you're grounded, make more 'anchors' like that - and watch when they're different. Once you know the enemy, it no longer gives anxiety to you, because you know what that is. Just an interdimensional troll trying to agitate you because it wants into our reality by way of your anxiety. So don't be anxious. Be something else. Be angry, be rational, be ignorant, be something else than anxiety.
