Since when has anything gone as planned for you when the stakes are high? But it's not like you had any way to check if there was a anti-magic field in here beforehand, nor find out that monstrous dragon Bri has such a raging desire for fresh Vark flesh she'd break virtually unbreakable shackles and chains that should be able to contain her to get at you. ...Maybe if you had knocked and said who you were instead of barging in. Then they would have warned you off. Though, then Dragon Bri would overhear, then break free to chase you down, so that wouldn't have worked either. Welp, can't think of any way you could have entered here without Dragon Bri getting loose. That sucks.
Also keep in mind that now that Bri sees you, time is advancing in the dream. Remember that now that Dragon Bri is free, you have to complete this dream with her dealt with. If you don't, then Dragon Bri'll be at the helm when Bri wakes up. And since you and Zela will wake up after Bri, your lives are in danger from whatever that ravenous beast will do to you.
Rush back out into the hall and slam the door shut behind you. Run to anywhere that isn't here. Try the armory first. Get the shock staff you hid because Bri's Courage may need it if the Myseth sword doesn't work against Dragon Bri.
Okay, there's two possible plans I can think of right now to deal with Big Dragon Bri: First, and preferred, is getting Bri's courage to fight it and help her courage defeat it. From the memories of courage Kronos experienced, Bri's done brave things, except face herself. Her successfully doing that is likely the way to finish this dream mission satisfactorily. Bri's courage will need a weapon that can actually do anything against Dragon Bri, though. Bri's courage took a halberd from the armory because Kronos took the Myseth family sword, so getting the sword back to Bri's courage is important. But first we have to find it. Hopefully it didn't go beyond the stone slab door or out into the Catacomb maze. Considering that Bri's Courage made its way to Kronos' dream when he called her, it might be able to traverse the Catacombs too. But you might be able to summon Bri's Courage to you. It came when you called for Bri while facing off against Xuv, so Bri's Courage might again come if you call for her now. Otherwise you're going to be running around the outer rooms and halls, calling out for Bri's Courage trying to find it.
Second idea is to dose the roasted head of Elete, then lead Dragon Bri to the head so she'll eat it. This should be Plan B because Bri's Courage facing and defeating Dragon Bri sounds like just the way to satisfactorily finish this dream mission. Just make sure that Dragon Bri doesn't get to Elete's head and eat it before you possibly use it.
Make a mental list of every spot in Bri's dream that you saw that is too small for Dragon Bri to pass through, but that you can. You'll be needing them to evade her. Also note the ones that would probably not break or get knocked open by Dragon Bri. She'll also be tracking you by scent, so anything that could knock her sense of smell out would be good. Chucking a big scoop of pepper from the kitchen into her face might work, but something stronger would be better.
You should think about why the Grand Hall had a anti-magic field over it. There is the possibility that it was to keep Dragon Bri from using magic. Like breath based casting of fire or somesuch.
If you get Dragon Bri on your tail, try to engage with the Bri that's trapped trying to restrain and contain it. Ask her to keep talking and tell you things about the part she's trying to keep under control. Things that might help you or someone else deal with it.

>Offer the dragon Elete a la carte! Retreat to the kitchen and let the dragon have its fill!
No, it's too valuable as a potential poison vector. Dragon Bri wants Vark flesh, one way to deal with her would be to dose Elete's head and leave it in Dragon Bri's path as she tails Kronos. I'd set that as Plan B, since it'd be far preferable for Bri's courage to take down Dragon Bri, since the memories from it indicates Bri could never face herself. Her courage besting her monstrous side would probably acceptably complete this dream mission for us.

That is just plain suicidal. No. Just no.
And just in case anybody else forgot, mirror Kronos warned that any harm Kronos sustains while dreamwalking will carry over into the waking world. This is up to and including death. So no suicide runs on the ill-informed idea Kronos'll be fine when he wakes up.

>Maybe you shouldn't have cut the chain. Was that really part of the plan?
Nobody cut the chain. This monstrous dragon Bri broke free just to get at Kronos' succulent Vark flesh.
>Anyway tell Bri the more she resists the worse the beast becomes.
...How did you come to that conclusion? Because I don't see how Bri just releasing her last bits of restraint on this bloodthirsty side of her will weaken the beast.
>You could convince the beast not to eat you by showing it you have the poison. You could even pour a vial onto yourself, so that you become poisonous.
Other than the risk of Kronos absorbing the poison through his skin or eyes, Dragon Bri would probably just rip Kronos apart for denying her her meal of fresh Vark flesh. The poison is far more valuable for dosing food Dragon Bri might eat, like Elete's head.
>If not you're gonna have to try to fight.
The Empress' note stated that conventional weapons would not work against this monstrous form of Briannah. Only the poison tonic and the shock staff would work. Which means Kronos' gun and the Myseth family sword won't work against her. ...The sword might work if wielded by Bri's Courage, but we gotta find it first before we can give it the sword.
>Or remind the beast that what it desires is your heart. You are Kronos, not Elete.
The part of Bri in there that's still Bri can see that Kronos is Kronos. She went "No! NO!" upon seeing him because she knew her monstrous side would want to eat his flesh and would run him down. It'd be one of her worst nightmares for that to happen.

>Great. Brilliant. Why do we bother making plans, again?
I'm wondering the same thing. Along with half-wondering why I should even bother to write as much as I do for my posts in this quest. Seriously, how the fuck could we have figured this out ahead of time? ...Goddammit. We could have knocked and said who we were. And then Ravenous Dragon Bri would have heard and broken free for some of that sweet, sweet Vark flesh. Maybe somehow made the leap of logic to figure it out from putting together the stench of blood with Bri's licking of that would-be assassin's blood in the first thread? But, really? REALLY? God, it didn't even fuckin' matter what way we chose to enter the Grand Hall. Only not entering it would have been the right way, but we had "Either way, it feels like your time is starting to run out…" at the end of the update making it feel like if we didn't move then we'd run out of dream-time.
>...but I can already hear everyone shouting me down about how dangerous that is, as if getting ripped to shreds by a dragon is preferable.
Dragon Bri would probably just rip Kronos apart in rage anyway for his impudence of denying her his tasty, tasty flesh, even if she can't eat him afterwards.
And the poison is far too valuable otherwise to just slather Kronos in it. For the primary reason it could possibly be used to dose the roasted head of Elete in the kitchen, which then can be left for Dragon Bri to eat. She is after Vark flesh, after all. She'd probably stop to eat that dish, even if it isn't bloody fresh Vark flesh.
>Maybe follow the runner and get them to open the door?
There's a open door right behind Kronos; The one he came in through. ...At least, I hope there is one and the goddamn dream didn't vanish it away to fuck us over. And that "runner" is probably the Empress, and she's not going to be happy at all with Kronos for him barging in and causing Dragon Bri to break free.
>Well it might distract her, for like, two seconds. It might get her to stop chewing on Belseth, too.
Considering Belseth was the one wielding the whip, she's not going to let him go for that. He's for sure going down Dragon Bri's gullet.
>We are way out of good ideas, aren't we.
Only if you give up and don't put in the work to think of one.
>>767867
>..........I've gotta be honest, we really should've seen that coming a mile away, but we didn't.
...HOW?! A anti-magic zone has never shown up in the damn quest before! And there was no way to to find out that there was one in here without opening the goddamn door a at least holding the music run inside.
>Don't look at me, I'm not the one that panicked and said, "Run in there without looking for more clues and coming up with a better plan!" that was someone else!
You also didn't specifically suggest to do a thorough search for the shining armor instead of going into the Grand Hall. You didn't even suggest to do anything in particular. You only made some observation about the armor's whereabouts. And looking back, at the time of update, there were only two actual suggestions for action; Go in with good memories and the sword, and poison the food. There was a third one, but it came in four minutes before the update and wasn't taken into account. And then a bunch of posts back and forth about the poisoning-the-food plan. So in the end it came down to one suggestion to go in. So perhaps in the future, if there is by some miracle one in this quest, actually suggest actions instead of just pointing things out and speculating, hm?
Disclaimer: I wrote this post after being up for more than 30 hours. My apologies for the quality, and I hope I didn't overlook anything important.
