I get the feeling that one of his squad members did the deed. Karas has his own team, he shouldn't risk himself by assassinating a full ambassador all by himself. Even so, the evidence is too stacked against him; there's too much evidence planted against him, but at the same time it all fits in a way that leaves for multiple interpretations and reasonable doubt for the authorities.

All signs are pointing to Karas, and regardless of whether or not he did it, he's still your main lead.

>‘e’s quite the fan of a book series about something called “Brotherhood of Righteous Arms” as well as a lot of books about poisons.
To be fair, that also describes a lot of our recent activities. The candy at the assassination scene still looks like a frame job to me, but it is possible for him to both be up to something and be framed for something else.

>So, do yah want me to continue or…?
Watch his window. That is a known lead and since it is recurring is a prime target to watch.

no...thank you for the information.

Yeah, we're going to need to talk to him at some point. Any idea when we could catch him outside of a meeting?

This seems to implicate him for trying to poison Qelba, and possibly also the stabbing. I think we need a little more proof however.
I don't suppose you can get past the guards in front of his room yourself? You are his brother, they might let you past. Then you can see what's in that chest, and also look for a rope or something he's been using to sneak out at night.

Don't send Doxan to look at the window/garden just yet. He's not likely to be doing that during the day. Hmm. It just occurred to me that the white figure that keeps showing up at the edge of your vision shows up whenever you visit someone who's recently died. Like some kind of grim reaper.
Unfortunately we'll have to wait for another person to die before we can test this theory, and maybe see if anyone else can see it too.

I'd like for Doxan to scrounge up information on the archbishop but I doubt that'll go anywhere. Although I guess we can at least find out a little bit about her habits?

It's probably a frame job- he wasn't even around for the poisoning, was he? If it really was him, we'll still need more proof anyway.

Well he was definitely in the room with the prisoner at some point, and the dagger definitely implicates him. Until we find out what happened to the guards and maybe question them on the events surrounding the murder, we don't really have any solid evidence.

Here's what I think happened, though: he visited Qelba, tried to poison the food without Qelba noticing, but he did notice and didn't eat it. Now, the stabbing obviously took place after that. Either Karas did it after realizing the poisoning failed, or someone else wanted Qelba dead, took a more direct approach, and ALSO was part of the real Brotherhood of Righteous Arms, or they knew about Karas' obsession with it and decided to frame Karas as a secondary objective. The simplest explanation is just that Karas figured out the poisoning failed, sent the guards away, then did the deed manually. However, you'd think Qelba would put up more of a fight. He didn't have any defensive wounds, which means... the murderer was someone he didn't expect to stab him. I think that points to it being NOT Karas.

Karas still tried to poison Qelba, though, that I'm sure of. If we confront him with that information we might be able to get some information about the Brotherhood.

>We should've asked the Chronicler who was responsible for both incidents.
For some reason you have the feeling that you wouldn’t have become any wiser from its answer.
>Hmm. It just occurred to me that the white figure that keep showing up at the edge of your vision shows up whenever you visit someone who's recently died.
…that would make sense. If this “old man” was someone Xuv knew and trusted, it would probably be connected with death somehow.

>Karas has his own team, he shouldn't risk himself by assassinating a full ambassador all by himself.
Of course he has. He got enough coin and influence to pull something like this off without dirtying his own hands.
>This seems to implicate him for trying to poison Qelba, and possibly also the stabbing. I think we need a little more proof however.
Indeed, as you do not have any real solid proof yet. It would help if had some proof that was gained legally as well.
>Yeah, we're going to need to talk to him at some point. Any idea when we could catch him outside of a meeting?
At dinner… or after dinner. You’re pretty sure most merchant guilds and the like closes at five so…
>I don't suppose you can get past the guards in front of his room yourself? You are his brother, they might let you past.
They might let me into the room, but there’s no way they’ll let me go through his things. Especially if it is something he has forbidden everyone from touching.

>Watch his window.
:DoxanSB: I’ll make sure I got a good view of it when the sun starts to set, sire. Anything else yah desire?
>I'd like for Doxan to scrounge up information on the archbishop but I doubt that'll go anywhere.
:DoxanSB: The Archbishop? I’ll see if I can find anything of interest, but I do not make promises. I do ‘now for a fact that she is a very cautious woman.
:KronosSB: Either way, thank you, Doxan.
:DoxanSB: …if yah will excuse me, my Prince.

>Also check in with your gardener buddy and ask if people really have been complaining about people stepping on the flower beds.
You find Whispers of Growth sharing a drink with some of your other friends.
:KronosSB: Hello, gents.
:TimSB: Why, if it isn’t the prince. Greetings, sir!
:WogSB: This one welcomes the prince.
:sbktaSB: Come, sit down and join us, Prince.
:KronosSB: …isn’t it a bit early to be drinking?
:sbktaSB: It’s only our first glass…
:TimSB: And it’s almost three hours after noon, making it almost a bit late to be start drinking, if I have to say so myself.
:WogSB: This one feel sadness that this one cannot join the friends drinking magic water.

:KronosSB: Err… right… Either way, I’ve got a question for you, Whisper.
:WogSB: This one is listening to the inquiry of the Prince.
:KronosSB: Has anyone… um… complained about people stepping on the flower beds?
:WogSB: …This one knows that the Hiver gardener complain about the tulips being stepped on repeatedly.
:KronosSB: And they are near my brothers room?
:WogSB: This one do not know where the big prince roots lies, but the tulips are near wall of the palace. This one asks why the little prince inquiry about the tulips.
:sbktaSB: Yeah, why are you so interested in flowers all the sudden?
:TimSB: Who cares! Come on, the day is young. Sit down with us, Kronos, and share some fun!

Well, several things have been happening, and I'm kind of curious about them. A couple of them involved my brother--Flowers trampled on and his candy wrappers everywhere, so I figured I'd look into it and figure out if he was actually responsible or if somebody's just giving him a bad name.

heard my brother might be sneaking out of his room ever night, I'm trying to see if it's true so I can give him shit for it. Must be one hell of a girl that he's sneaking out to see her and not having her come to his room each night.

So how have you guys been today? My day's been mostly poor but I did get to test out a new duel enchanted gun today. Also got into a shooting match with Sisah here and I must say it really was nice being able to actually compete against someone instead of just shooting clay pidgins all day.

Ah, this reminds you: You were kinda planning to play a game of Regicide against Belseth this afternoon, and he seemed to be looking forward to it; He even said he'd try to hold off on the drinking in anticipation. It'd be inconsiderate to leave him hanging now.

How 'bout you go get Belseth and bring him down here to play your game, making sure to tell your friends what you're doing so they don't think you're ditching them or something. Then you could introduce him to your little circle of friends and y'all can share drinks together. Oh, and also swing by Cain's quarters and see if he'd like to come down as well so you could introduce him to Belseth.

:sbktaSB: Considering that he’s married, taking a girl up to his room when the missus is away would be rather suspicious.
:TimSB: Heh, he’s probably seeing another man and doesn’t have to balls to admit he’s into that kind of thing.
:WogSB: This one thinks the friends shouldn’t paint conclusions before the friends find more about this strange happening.
>So how have you guys been today?
:sbktaSB: Well, I finally finished sorting the west side of the library today…
:TimSB: Had to reset most of my magical instruments today… again. Whatever those boys over in the grand temple are doing, it’s wreaking havoc on my tools.
:WogSB: This one has been feeding on the sun the whole day of sun. Oh, the father of the skies is so grossly incandescent!

>How 'bout you go get Belseth and bring him down here to play your game, making sure to tell your friends what you're doing so they don't think you're ditching them or something.
:sbktaSB: Hmm? Do you really think he want to come here and play Regicide? That’s a game you’re supposed to play in a calm environment and not somewhere like this.
:TimSB: Well, if you don’t come back we’ll know what kept you. See you later, Kronos.
:WogSB: This one bid farewell.

>Oh, and also swing by Cain's quarters and see if he'd like to come down as well so you could introduce him to Belseth.
You’ll swing by Cain’s place if Belseth decides that he’ll come with you. Sebkai is right, after all, regicide is a game you should play in calm environment.

:BelsethSB: Ah! Kronos! I’ve been looking forward to our game all day! Come in, come in, and do make yourself at home!
:KronosSB: Greetings, Belseth.
:BelsethSB: Do you desire anything? I still have some wine left if you want… or do you crave something to eat? I’ve got some chocolate if you want. Please, just speak up and I’ll see what I can get.

Lets not jump to conclusions here. I mean the last time we did that we thought Bri had a dick. Anyways ask why he brought out the wine, I thought he agreed to take it easy on the booze. Anyways do what you came down here to do and ask if he'd like to play a game with some of your friends. If he ask why tell him it might do him some good to meet new people, that and your schedule is changes at a whim so this way if he feels like playing a game with some one he's more likely to actually run into someone able to play

:BelsethSB: …really? Even after I made a fool of myself?
:KronosSB: Well, that’s why I came here… just remove the candles and incense, maybe?

>Some chocolate might be nice. You've had a long day after all.
:KronosSB: Though, you can leave the chocolate… I’m a bit famished, after all.
:BelsethSB: Ah, yes, of course.
>Ask why he brought out the wine, I thought he agreed to take it easy on the booze.
:BelsethSB: Well, we never did finish that bottle you took with you last time, no? So I thought it would be nice too… you know…

:BelsethSB: Either way, take a seat and we’ll play… Knights or Beast?
:KronosSB: Knights, of course.
:BelsethSB: Then I guess you’re the one with the first move. So… I was thinking, actually… about my half-sister…
:KronosSB: About Bri?
:BelsethSB: Did you know she’s always had trouble with… well… you know, that is a rather aggressive opening. While it’s effective against lesser players, it will leave you open in the mid-game.
:KronosSB: Oh? Wait, why are you telling me that?
:BelsethSB: Well, you did say you had trouble with beating Bri, did you not? Seeing as I’ve never lost to her you might have a hard time beating me, so I simply thought I could teach you a thing or two instead. That way we both might enjoy this game.
:KronosSB: …um… if you really are that good, then thank you…

:BelsethSB: Now, about Bri. Did you know that, with only one exception, all her relationships have never lasted more than a month?
:KronosSB: Wait, really?
:BelsethSB: Indeed… as I was trying to say, she has a lot of problems actually… opening up and trusting people. Instead, she- don’t walk right into my trap.
:KronosSB: Err…what?
:BelsethSB: See, even if these pieces offer a quick reward for an aggressive action, you should always look what your opponent are doing. It is nearly always better to interrupt your enemy’s attacks instead of going for the kill yourself. That way, you can strike them when they are vulnerable instead.
:KronosSB: …Oh… yeah, I see what you mean know… I would have lost these if I let you keep moving downwards.
:BelsethSB: Indeed… so, Instead, as she has a problem forming a real relationship, she usually makes it superficial. Focusing on more carnal desires then love, like sex. I don’t think your marriage will work if she does something like that with your relationship.
:KronosSB: …is she really like that?
:BelsethSB: Trust me on that one… also, you focus too much on the big and powerful pieces. You need to use all pieces to win, even the weak ones.
:KronosSB: Oh… um…

:BelsethSB: Now, I do have a question I wanted to ask you.
:KronosSB: Is it about Bri?
:BelsethSB: No, it’s… about something else. What would you think about… the five becoming… well, six?
:KronosSB: …wait wh-
:BelsethSB: Oh, and I just dethroned your empress.

:BelsethSB: As I said, you keep forgetting about the smaller pieces.

As for "the five" becoming "the Six"... What you mean by that? I'm not very versed in Religion if you ask me, I Just been feeling curiosity, But someone told me something like: "We don't fully understand the gods, and the new despictions are just us understanding a bit more of how they act."

One important thing about mainstream religion is that people tend to assume that it is absolute and unchanging. It isn't; if the scripture and folklore aren't rewritten already, then the people can still change the semantics of the scripture and folklore.

If you let the archbishop rewrite the canon without making a clear and formal declaration in the history books, it will screw things up.

Tell him that depends on who the sixth one is. Is he talking about bringing Xuv back into the fold? Because you've been doing research and it seems like she's not as bad as common opinion implies. How is it even possible, though?

Also, you have been having trouble contacting the gods. Something is wrong.

>Bri
Well it's an arranged marriage so it's probably going to happen regardless on how we feel, plus a political marriage as well that people keep telling me that depending on how successful it is could make or brake the peace treaty between our two kingdoms. I do thank you for the advice, even if Bri and myself never actually fall in love it would be nice to at least not hate each other. So far though things have been going alright, even if she's rushing certain things a bit.

>Six becoming Seven
What brought this up? I mean I've never been big on religion so outside of the basics and a few observations I'm probably not the best guy to ask on this. But since you brought it up Why the change and who would be this new God? I mean last I checked, when some runs around claiming to be a god that's usually the point where the guards drag the guy away to revive help.

Also, what does it say about the worth of the common man if they are "unworthy to worship their true god, so they're supposed to worship some flawed servants with all their faith" for a thousand years? This just screams self-esteem scam, it won't help the populace and it will be a paradigm shift in the faith and LOYALTY of MILLIONS if you let her do this.

…first off, you’re not going to show off your body so another man can enjoy himself to it. Second, you don’t believe Belseth would even be willing to do something like that. Third, he will definitely not accept you… “gathering” the left overs. No, you need to talk to Xuv about this.
>...Well, if anything were to consider the lesser gods "Beasts," it would be an overgod.
Hmm… it does fit the vision you had, doesn’t it?

>Didn't the empire of old blow itself up?
:BelsethSB: Well, the old empire did fall, true, but some believe it was because of our own hubris it did. We did something so prideful that the very gods turned their back on us.
>So who is this overgod and why is it only now that anyone has ever heard of him?
:BelsethSB: We aren’t exactly sure yet… but we do believe he had turned his back on us after the fall of the old empire and it wasn’t before now he came back to us.
>What does it say about the worth of the common man if they are "unworthy to worship their true god, so they're supposed to worship some flawed servants with all their faith" for a thousand years?
:BelsethSB: We were once all unworthy of even muttering his name, but that is changing. In fact, according to the Archbishop, he will soon arrive with an ava- err… forget I said anything about that, can you?

>You found out that the Five didn't have anything to do with the creation of the world.
:BelsethSB: You did? How? None of the religious text mentions them not creating it?
>What if this Overgod is actually something else, something powerful that the archbishop could control?
:BelsethSB: Oh, please, if it was something that powerful she wouldn’t be able to control it… which might be worse, actually…
>With something this important, he should not trust evidence he cannot verify from another source. He should make absolutely sure he's doing the right thing.
:BelsethSB: I… well, that is something I question myself about every day. I do my best to make the decisions I believe is right but… sometimes, it’s hard, you know. Ah, but enough about that, it’s almost dinner time! I suspect that you’re already taken?

:KronosSB: Oh, right, I promised Bri that we would have dinner together…
:BelsethSB: Of course, of course, do have a splendid time with my half-sister, Kronos.
:KronosSB: (…and I need to see my brother too…)
:BelsethSB: Now, before you take your leave… let me just… thank you for staying here playing with me, Kronos, even after our… um… awkward start. It means a lot to me… and I do hope we can spend some more time in each other’s company, friend?

Sure, but I will suggest that you also give the Regicide club a try. Like I said earlier you should try new things and meet some people while you're here. Could make things less stressful and more enjoyable if you have some friends to take your mind of things.

But yeah, let's head off to diner and then see if we can't catch your brother before he calls it a night.

Anyway I've been thinking, the prophesy said we are to get the Dragon a Highborn wife yes? Well what if it meant the wife of a highborn. Yes this doesn't solve the problem of cross species breeding but what if the wife isn't a highborn. What if we find him a sakkilian woman that has married a vrakian guy and yes its just you and brie now but if this marriage and peace unity thing works out who knows!

:KronosSB: So, big bro… where do you get these?
:KarasSB: The candy? Why, I have it imported from down south, my dear brother. Rather expensive, but for luxuries like these you have to spend the extra coin, no? Why do you ask?
:KronosSB: You see… they found this in the room that Qelba was held in.
:KarasSB: Qelba?

Personally, while he may be a bit of an ass at times he's still my brother and I don't want to lose any more family to this damn war, especially one that's already over. Economically the bastard is one of the kingdom's largest sources of income and is a major reason why the Serpens are allies with the kingdom. Seeing how our two kingdoms are now working together I would like to know just how exactly this will effect the realm both long term and short. And please don't sugar coat this.

>The temple does usually prepare itself for an ‘oly day that’s coming up next week, they’ve never prepared this much.
yeah on that front apparently the church has found some 6th god which from what I got from it is some kind of over god that created the other god. They're just trying to figure out how to brake the news to the public with having them freak out. Still should keep an eye on them of course just incase.

>the church has found some 6th god
Shh, let's not betray the guy's trust. How are we supposed to convince him to let us buy him so many drinks he gets drunk and doesn't realize he's sleeping with a lady if he doesn't trust us?

> Other than that, the only thing we ‘now is that she’s pulling a lot of resources back to the capital.
and it's creating magical energies that are fudging with surrounding equipment.
>Ye sisters orders, ‘ubby.
What, now she's in on this mess?
>She is pretty much already the queen, is she not?
...no, my father is still in charge until his drinking kills him.

The fact that your sister ordered some secret to be kept regarding the poisoning, probably means she's behind it. First the frame job to separate Qelba, then she poisoned his food to finish him off. She told Bri because your sister doesn't want her investigating or holding a grudge over something that was supposed to be non-lethal, if your esteemed bride hadn't shotgunned it during a meeting.

Maybe we can get her to spill if we tempt her with what we're hiding?

>Wow not even married yet and she's already keeping secrets from you, but then again you are keeping secrets from her.
You’re supposed to not keep secrets AFTER you get married, not the other way around…
>It could be that Briannah is in on the poisoning. Would explain why she doesn't seem to be worried about it.
But why would she poison herself? …or Qelba for that matter
>The fact that your sister ordered some secret to be kept regarding the poisoning, probably means she's behind it.
…it wouldn’t surprise you if she did have a finger in this mess, but you can’t really see why she would poison either Bri or Qelba either.

>What, now my sister is in on this mess?
:BriannahSB: As I said, she is pretty much the Queen…
>...no, my father is still in charge until his drinking kills him.
:BriannahSB: Or when ‘e step downs… like ‘e’s planning to do in just two or three years. Ye sister is already doing most of ‘is work already.

>Ok Bri I have a question That I want to ask you and I want to answer honestly.
:BriannahSB: I can try…
>Assuming it's a worst case scenario and every assassination attempt so far has been because of my brother and that we expose him what will happen?
:BriannahSB: Best case, ‘e get locked up in some pretty mansion in the middle of nowhere, mostly cut off from the rest of the world. Worst case? ‘e resist arrest and thus tastes the blade one final time.

>Maybe we can get her to spill if we tempt her with what we're hiding?
:BriannahSB: Oh? Well, I might need a taste of what yah got before I can say for sure I can spill my little secrets.
>What they are doing in the temple is creating magical energies that are fudging with surrounding equipment.
:BriannahSB: …really? Hmm, I should ‘ave asked someone before about something like that…

>You need a secure way to share information, or at least understand enough of each others' plans to prepare accordingly without leaving yourselves as weak spots.
:BriannahSB: Well, I guess yah’ve earned a bit of info, though ye sister still said not to tell yah. She doesn’t seem to trust yah to keep that tongue of ye in check.
:KronosSB: …thanks, sis…
:BriannahSB: But yes, we do believe ye brother is planning something… and we’re trying to put a stop to ‘im before that. We’ve already moved enough pawns around to give us an opening, but we lack anything for the killing move.
:KronosSB: Pawns? That’s what you see me as?
:BriannahSB: Well, from the start yah were more of a vanguard… but now? I would say yah’re an Emporor… or in ye terms, a Queen.
:KronosSB: …so you want me to help you bring down my brother?
:BriannahSB: If yah can… It’s pretty obvious that ‘e’ll lay a trap tomorrow at eight… but, for whom? Maybe both of us, even?
:KronosSB: Wait, why would he lay a trap for me?
:BriannahSB: Remove either of us and that war that ‘e desire might ‘appen. So I would recommend to not… “attend” that meeting tomorrow… or at least find some more information on what ‘e’s planning.

Something's wrong. Recall your lectures on astronomy, why are the two moons in opposing lunar cycles? There are ways to make such a picture but they require either forgery or fantastic situations.

As for the assassinations, perhaps you could kidnap your brother?
>>
No. 685966 ID: 6d4595

I'm not entirely sure if your brother's the main/only threat right now. He knew that there was an attempt to poison Qelba, which I'm pretty sure isn't public knowledge or anything like that, but didn't know that the attempt had failed and that he was stabbed to death instead. The stabbing was also somewhat recent, about 10-15 minutes before we got there, while the food was hours old and untouched. The question here, though, is if A)There's a secondary force with it's own unknown goals involved, B)Your brother isn't the "head" of this whole plan, and is possibly only a scapegoat, or C)The stabbing was done by your brother's underlings because the poisoning attempt failed, but that was never reported back to your brother.

She has been keeping secrets from you because she does not know how you will react once you find out that some of your family members are in the middle of assassination plots.

Same reason that you did not get told about what really happened to your brother. People get weird when family is involved. So she has been trying to keep you in the dark so you do not have to get hurt if something goes badly.

Let her know you are already up to your neck in this crap and keeping you out of the loop is just going to cause more problems. Just investigating by yourself you have discovered half the plots going on around here. At this rate any plans she comes up with might get ruined because you got in the middle without knowing they existed.

>…it wouldn’t surprise you if she did have a finger in this mess, but you can’t really see why she would poison either Bri or Qelba either.
Just because you can't see why doesn't mean it's not so. She said your sister was moving around pawns, it looks like Qelba got pushed off the board. If Bri were poisoned by anyone but your sister, she would be sore over it and try to investigate. Instead she was probably just told it was nothing personal, it was just something to get qelba- who she despised, you remember- out of the picture, or to make a honeypot for instigators like your brother.
>Best case, ‘e get locked up in some pretty mansion in the middle of nowhere, mostly cut off from the rest of the world.
Sounds... familiarly prophetic.

We'll do some more investigating, maybe Cain can be persuaded to direct the mumblings & gossip of the house staff to our ears. In any case, we'll have to walk into the trap. He won't say 'go' to whatever he's planning if we don't. Maybe some low-profile body armor will help.

Look over the balcony, hear the call of the void again.

Because the five created them to have something to tether the celestial heavens too?
>We'll do some more investigating, maybe Cain can be persuaded to direct the mumblings & gossip of the house staff to our ears.
That’s a great idea. He’s bound to find out something.

>Let her know you are already up to your neck in this crap and keeping you out of the loop is just going to cause more problems.
:BriannahSB: Hmm… that might be true but… can yah promise to keep ye mouth shut?
:KronosSB: I promise.
:BriannahSB: So… where to begin?
:KronosSB: First off, I want you to tell me the truth about something. Is my sister behind the assassination of Qelba?
:BriannahSB: Oh, no, of course not. Qelba, as much of an arse ‘e was, was still on our side.
:KronosSB: …and the poisoning of you?
:BriannahSB: Ah… but, ‘ubby, I’ve never been poisoned.
:KronosSB: …you’ve never- don’t tell me you faked that!?
:BriannahSB: It was some of Doxans chocking powder. Makes yah cough a lot and waters ye eyes, but it’s not even close to lethal.
:KronosSB: …but, why did you-
:BriannahSB: Oh, we ‘ave our reasons. To make our enemies bolder… to ‘ave a reason for arrest… Now, yah do understand… if yah tell anyone about this, anyone at all, we will need to silence yah, yah understand?
:KronosSB: Right, don’t tell anyone…

>As for the assassinations, perhaps you could kidnap your brother?
:BriannahSB: Kidnap? Nah, we rather do this “legally”, so people won’t ask too many questions.
>In any case, we'll have to walk into the trap.
:BriannagSB: While a bold move, do yah really think it’s a clever one.
>Maybe some low-profile body armor will help.
:BriannahSB: Armor? Heh, ‘ubby, I don’t think ‘e’s planning to assassinate yah. If anything, ‘e might do what yah planned and simply kidnap yah… or maybe ‘e might frame yah for the murder of Qelba? Either way, our marriage would be over…
:KronosSB: So… what do you suggest I do?
:BriannahSB: Find out what ‘e’s planning and act on that.

:BriannahSB: Now, the night is still young so… do yah ‘ave anything planned tonight or do yah want to stay ‘ere and ‘elp me warm up the bed?~
:KronosSB: If you’re cold I can light a fire in the hearth, but… hmm…

Should you call it for tonight? You might still find out something more about your brothers dastardly plot… but on the other hand, you’re in need of some R&R… Hmmm… decisions, decisions.

:BriannahSB: Snuggle in the sofa in front of the fireplace, then?

you see it's shit like this is why most sane people hate politics.

But yeah short of claiming out onto the roof from your balcony, then silently moving along the rooftops till you're outside your brothers room and listening in I don't really know any way for you to try and figure out what he's doing tonight. So unless you want to give that a try go with the snuggle on the couch by the fire idea.

Wow. Not even your own future-wife feels you're important enough to tell you she wasn't poisoned until you pretty much figured out something was up.

At this point, probably should just focus on the whole deal with your new found attention from the Powers that be.

I'm operating in the dark right now. I'll change plans once I can get a handle on what's going on, but until then I have to plan on doing this directly.

Well played, but it's not nice to pretend to be a peppy idealist to your fiancée. Feels a lot like what Krotos did to Briannah.

So what, did Qelba intentionally make a scene and get framed to act as bait?

Anyways, go to bed. Scream the "I'm going to bed" protocol.

That's where you say "I'M GOING TO BED, AND I'M GOING TO COUNT THE SECONDS FROM WHICH I PUT MY HEAD ON THE PILLOW! ONE, TWO, THREE..."

Okay but seriously, limit yourself to groping. Just go to bed if you don't feel in the mood.

Well, you’re used to be ignored…
> At this point, probably should just focus on the whole deal with your new found attention from the Powers that be.
You still need to finish this business with your brother, but whatever is happening in the temple should be a concern too.
>Tell Cain what you need from him.
You’ll send a sealed message to him at once… which will include some other, more ordinary orders to make it seem a little bit less suspect if someone reads it.

>Well played, but it's not nice to pretend to be a peppy idealist to your fiancée.
:BriannahSB: Pretending? I am a peppy little idealist… though; I’m cynical enough to understand people will die before things become better again.
>You see it's shit like this is why most sane people hate politics.
:BriannahSB: And why other relish in it!
>So what, did Qelba intentionally make a scene and get framed to act as bait?
:BriannahSB: No, ‘e was supposed to play the innocent victim of a framing. We’re supposed to find someone else who actually “did” the poisoning. As I said, Qelba dying was not the plan… even if it can make things easier in the end, if I might be so pragmatic to suggest it.
>Your wife thinks of you as a pawn, threatens to harm or murder you if you "spill the beans".
:BriannahSB: …what? I’m not saying that I’ll murder yah. That would be going straight against everything I’d want… also, I do kind of like yah. But yah must understand that this is something important, no?
:KronosSB: …right… let’s just… drop that…

>Go with the “snuggle on the couch by the fire” idea.

So... The Antidote That you had during her fake poisoning was a nasty surprise for her or was it also planned?

Also, We need to make sure that Our bodyguard doesn't tell this to your father, it may be troublesome.

And, Tell her you are sorry for not trusting in her being able to take care of herself.

Tell her you think you're more likely to meet the Old Man if you're present at someone's death. So if she IS planning to kill someone, some prior notice would be nice so you can potentially talk to the Old Man.

Also consider asking what she thinks of abstinence before marriage. Just to see the look on her face. It's a joke of course.

Maybe we should take a more physically active role in in this relationship. Not necessarily anything sexy... Just because she is larger then us doesn't mean we can't give her head a nice lap to lay on. If she is feeling a bit frisky maybe we can propose spending the rest of the night exploring each other's bodies.
