>Aren't Hivers supposed to be straighter then an arrow and then some?
Most of them, yes… of course, they hate oppression more than law-breaking. You can’t break a broken law or what they usually say…
>Okay, perhaps that's why he got involved with Deus machina and took the core in the first place. He needed bodies, so K55P could escape.
…that sounds reasonable. If he were to move the SAI to a new, SAI registered body it would have been able to leave this system long before Sol Corp noticed something was wrong.
>Tr'ak wanted TWO bodies right? why two? Did another AI he was working with suddenly go SAI?
…that is odd, yes.
>Maybe that's how Tr'ak got involved with this "Savior", he was getting nowhere fast with getting K55P to be recognized as a SAI and if a second SAI came aware he could have been pushed into desperation.
That would explain why he needed two bodies and why he contacted Deus. Good work, Jo, seems like you’ve found out some solid motivations.
>Anyways can we see if Tr'ak was working with any other normal AI's and see if any of those stand out?
I will start checking out all the AI’s he would have been in contact with.
>It's the importance of the cube. The data they're after can't be stored in it. They're missing an AI.
Actually, a data cube like that can store information related to AI programming, like the leg data. It is after all a small part of the AI itself.
>I'm thinking the "leg data" is data they need to hack the robots. The demonstration is compromised.
I will contact the captain about that at once. She will inform Sol Corp of this possibility.
>If they killed Tr'ak, why didn't they take the AI core? It was just sitting there on the floor. I don't think they did it.
…that is a very good observation.
>This doesn't explain why the Deus Machina would start shit in public and/or with the police over some data and an AI core, respectively, or how Deus Machina found out the data was stored in the BTLS instead of the normal dead drop.
…wait, that doesn’t make sense! If they knew the information was in the BTLs, why try and take the empty AI core?
Maybe they belived it still held the information?
Or our friend in the BTL store wasn’t part of the Deus Machina! The only thing connecting it to them is the shell, and that’s like clothes! It’s changeable!
>These guys didn't seem very competent, and while they were criminals, it strikes me that they used stun weapons of a low grade. They weren't out to make a kill, just to get the AI core.
Indeed, Deus Machina might be troublemakers, but they aren’t killers.
>If these guys are affiliated with AED, then... they didn't know Tr'ak was dead. I mean, AED tried to call him repeatedly.
...so neither did they know he was killed, nor did they know he had stored the data in BTLs? Then who is the murderer and who wants that information?
I’m sure that kind of information is rather expensive. Money is the unifying motive, after all…
>We're going to need to make a big conspiracy wall to keep all this information straight.
You do have a digital note book for those kind of things.
>you know where to go. do so quickly.
Right, enough blabbering! I need to talk to that AED guy! Where is his apartment.
He’s currently being arrested. If you want to talk to him go to the station.
Right, to HQ then!
…
My apologies, sir, but #693 AED cannot meet anyone right now.
Ah, but it just so happens that I’m its lawyer, Judicator Kr’ak’a’cksk the Just. I believe its gotten itself into a bit of a pickle, if you’ll excuse my language.
Pickle? It’s arrested for murder, acts of terrorism and corporate sabotage.
…what? That’s- no, there has to have been some mistake? Those are some very steep charges!
Woop, another year closer to the grave! Happy birthday to me, I guess… even thought my birthday was a week ago…
