Oh, right, Q&Q. How a person sets up their character would tell a lot about them, huh.
>>580168
>DM. or is it QM?
GM. Game Master. Not Dungeon Master or Quarter Master (The latter because that's a person who takes care of all of the supplies, not a person in charge of a world), but Game Master.
But, uh, yeah, let's ask Arthur what his plans were first.
>>
No. 580232 ID: d0e0a2

Well, that sounds okay, but still ask him what you're going to be doing before agreeing.

Tell Arthur that while you do have command of Lu for about an hour, she doesn't have to leave for home until half past ten so there's no huge rush. Well, unless it isn't fun for her, but you don't want to force her to do un-fun things

Since Arthur is interested in Warstorm you could offer to loan him your rulebook so he can read up on it. And if he wants to play a match Lu would be a good opponent. That'll give her someone to play against at her skill level. You'd have to let Arthur borrow your units to play, though. You okay with that?

Ask Arthur how long he estimates the Inquisition is going to be here and how disruptive are they going to be to the routine of the Academy.

Going by Arthur's grasp of the Amunian language I wonder just how long it's been since he came out of the barbarian wastes. ...Actually, now that I think about it, shouldn't he have a much better grasp of the language by now? He has to have lived in Amun long enough to get to the point he could enter Inquisitor school and graduate. So he ought to be better with the language then exhibited here. Hmmm... Perhaps he's playing up his accent and manner of speaking for some reason. Maybe so people underestimate him? I dunno.

>>580157
>>580168
I very much doubt Arthur is thinking of Q&Q, and even if he is we don't have enough players or time. Taking one person out to GM leaves only two players and you really need at least three to play; Preferably four or five for a decent game. With the time constraints it's just not going to happen.

However, Dai could ask Arthur if he knows about Q&Q. Then he can tell him about it if he doesn't and ask if he'd be interested in joining Dai's Q&Q group.

>>580196
"QM" can also mean "Quest Master," another name for a Dungeon Master or Game Master that some RPG systems use.

>Well, I think it's safe to say Arthur will be more than willing to be in Lucrais's harem when the time comes.
Arthur strikes me as someone who would be willing for most things… considering his background…
>Introduction to Q & Q maybe?
Um… I dunno… we’re only three and… well, we don’t have that much time…
>You can DM. or is it QM?
It’s either GM or QM… as in Game Master or Quest Master.

>However, Dai could ask Arthur if he knows about Q&Q.
:ArthurNUM: Oh, Q&Q. I used to play a lot before I became Inquisitor, yes? But… we are few and have little time, yes? Maybe if we find some more and decide on time then play, yes?
>Tell Arthur that while you do have command of Lu for about an hour, she doesn't have to leave for home until half past ten so there's no huge rush.
:ArthurNUM: Ah, then no rush, no? We have tea and crumpets later!
>Since Arthur is interested in Warstorm you could offer to loan him your rulebook so he can read up on it.
:ArthurNUM: As I said, I do not have the coin or time to really play it.
:DaithiNUM: You can always borrow my army for a game if you want.
:ArthurNUM: That would be fun, yes, but I don’t expect you will lend me your army every time, no?
>Ask Arthur how long he estimates the Inquisition is going to be here and how disruptive are they going to be to the routine of the Academy.
:ArthurNUM: Few days, yes? Also, only thing they will disturb is corridor by my lab and Archives. Unless something else happens, yes?
>Going by Arthur's grasp of the Amunian language I wonder just how long it's been since he came out of the barbarian wastes.
:ArthurNUM: Oh, I’ve been here two and half year now. Of course, most of first year I spoke… how you say… original tongue, yes?

>But, uh, yeah, let's ask Arthur what his plans were first.
:ArthurNUM: Oh, we are going to need be quick for this, but oh how fun it will be. Come, me and Lu will need new clothes for plan.
:LucraisNUM: …wait, what plan?

:UnknownKAK: I know you’re out here somewhere, you lizard bastards! You can’t hi-
*Clonk!*
:UnknownKAK: I… oh… oh god, w-wha-
:UnknownKAK: T-that’s… that’s… I think I’m going to puke!
:ArthurNUM: Quickly, let’s get out of here!
:LucraisNUM: HA! This is the most fun I have had in ages!
:DaithiNUM: Um… I feel a bit bad for starting a prank war, though…
:UnknownKAK: Dammit, they are on the roof! That’s it! Let’s go get a bunch of buckets from the stables and we’ll fill up the whole damn male lizard dorm with this… this shit!

[Holy shit! Level up! You’re the man now, doll! Please choose two new pawns for your party.]
[Remember, you can always unclaim old pawns every 24 hours! You can also try and claim pawns owned by other players if you so wish.]
[The High Priestess: Veteran Lord Commander, loving mother.] (Claimed by you)
[The Hierophant: Veteran Inquisitor, loving father.] (Claimed by Purple)
[The Chariot: Captain of the guard, cougar with some really nice hips. (Also, you got a date tomorrow with her, you stud.)]
[Strength: Saint Nickolas of fury! (Can also detect Daemonic presences)] (Claimed by you)
[The Hermit: High Commander, Mentor.]
[The Tower: Well-connected noble woman, well-read historian and got a real nice tush.]
[The Star: Novice Inquisitor, expert daemonologist… and if we look at the pattern with the others I’m guessing he probably got a cute butt or something…]
[The Empress: ???] (Claimed by Black)
[The Hanged Man: Daemoness of Envy, Destroyer of worlds, head of the book club.] (Claimed by the woman in green.)
[Choose wisely, as there are four other players in the area looking for pawns!]
>>

We need someone with some strength now as we cannot rely just on our king to do all the major physical activities on his own, The Chariot should fulfill that duty. Or The Hermit.
>>
No. 580332 ID: ca0da5

>>580330
Chariot does sound good, especially since she apparently already knows about us? As for our second pawn, I don't know if we should go for The Star or The Tower. The only claimed pawn I think would be useful is the Hierophant, and I don't exactly feel like making enemies with purple at the moment.
>>
No. 580333 ID: dbe554

>>580332

We could claim the Star as well, he is strong, knowledgeable, and is good with our current foe.

>There used to only be two before Purple came out of nowhere
Including or excluding us?
White, Teal, Black, Purple, Personcaratastaru... The new one who's name would be unbelievably long in our language. Should we just call them yellow? It's got yellow stripes on its armor. But, yeah, before Purple was just White, Black, and us (Teal).

...So, wait, who's the Lady in Green?
>>
No. 580341 ID: 40935b

It said four other players, so I'm assuming excluding. I'm not sure the Avatar counts as a player. The Lady in Green is Libby the bound demon.

>>You can also try and claim pawns owned by other players if you so wish.
In that case let's go with The Tower and then try to steal The Empress, even if we fail taking The Empress we might learn something from trying.

>>580336
>>580339
No, no, no. The last time the two others who could take pawns were White and Purple. White told us she took upgrades instead of pawns, and Purple claimed The Hierophant (Cathal) and possibly Reversed Sun if he wasn't already Purple's king. That accounts for the two others. So now the four out there who could take pawns are White, Purple, (most likely) Black, and an unknown player.

The unknown might be the alien, but it being an avatar might prevent it taking pawns. The unknown could be The Woman in Green, but I have a feeling she can't hold more than one piece at a time. So the most likely option is another player has entered the area.
>>
No. 580349 ID: d0e0a2

We're forgetting one thing: Who knows where the alien is. If we're to keep control over that knowledge we have to choose Atena and Lucrais. Otherwise if another player takes one of them and they show up at Dai's dorm wanting to see it the cat'll be out of the bag.

I vote for The Chariot and The Tower. Atena, in addition to being good in a fight, has command over the city guard. That'll likely prove useful to us. And Lucrais' connections in high society will give us an ear in there and may help us figure out if any of them are acting strangely, which might indicate shapestealer replacement or Black's involvement. Lu also knows her history, so that might be handy when it comes to finding stuff about the Vault.

I can only hope that Purple follows his trend of claiming Inquisitors and The Star is taken by him. It's not ideal, but he's at least known to us and isn't hostile. Yet. If his goals turn out to be misguided and he can't be swayed then we'll try to seize The Star by force. And if The Star is taken by one who's not Purple, then we will for sure try to take him back.
>>
No. 580361 ID: d0e0a2

I wonder how The Empress got on the list even though we haven't encountered her yet. Was just Purple speaking of her enough? Or did we pass her at some point and forgot to scan her? That would mean she's in the area and not the Amun empress.

Also, why would The Hanged Man be available for us to attempt to take? Seizing her would cut off the daemonic magic keeping her alive, leaving us with a corpse. Unless... Unless whoever's body The Woman in Green possessed her was alive at the time and is still in there. I think we're going to have to ask Libby some questions about that.

Uh, Lucrais (The Tower) doesn't know where the Vault is. She knows where the catacombs under the Academy are but that's no secret, and we don't know if the catacombs are connected in any way with the Vault. And The Chariot (Atena) no doubt has connections as captain of the guard, but not the kind that The Tower (Lucrais) has. However, they both know that Dai is hiding the alien in his dorm, so claiming them would keep that secret safe so we can keep it under control and share it with only those we want.

The Chariot and The Tower.

3 reason for this.
1) Both have good connections that could greatly help us
2) Both have useful skill that we will need at one point or another, like knowing how to fight and knowing useful history that can greatly help us cut down on searching for clues
3) Both know about the Alien and the longer we can keep him hidden from potential threats the better. and
4) Daithi has a date with both of them coming up, tomorrow with the caption and the day after with Lucrais and I for one don't like mixing business with pleasure.

>>
No. 580705 ID: 4f0da9

For a name: Rose is nice. Eventually she may learn to understand us, so a pun name might go over poorly.

And for purple: we should send the message regarding the Empress, but probably shouldnt offer up the Star.

If anything, maybe we should trade The Strength for the Hierophant. Having both of Dai's parents is a better long-term move I think. Dai's Dad is obviously chafing under Purple, while Fury has temperance, wisdom, and a talent that might keep Purple from going full witch-hunt. He's awesome for sure, but if he can reign in Purple's enthusiasm, he'll stay an ally and likely cement Purple as one.

And to Dai: You're with friends. You can give the kiss a try if you want to. I seriously doubt they'll force it. After all you have what amounts to giant teeth where he has warm, soft, slightly scaly flesh. If he has a lick of sense he'll be gentle~

Well, Dai, a bet's a bet, so pay up. Consider this an opportunity to practice for when you kiss Atena. I figure you've never kissed anybody romantically before, let alone a lizard, and you have a willing teacher here so may as well take advantage and learn.

Admit you've never kissed anybody before; You know it in theory, but have no practice. Ask Arthur if he'd give you some quick instruction as well as practice in how to do it right; Like, how to deal with the height difference and how should you handle your tongue? Start with the basics then move on to the more... Passionate options. See just how much you can make Lu blush.

So, did you enjoy the sight of Lu in a commander's uniform? I'd imagine it wasn't easy to find an abdomen cover in her size. Or was she not able to and she had to squeeze into one too small?

>Oh, dammit, you’re going to get revenge for that dance I made you do, won’t you?
Oh? What kind of dance was it? I hope it was a sexy one~

Also, we leveled up again. We could pick two more people so we chose Atena and Lucrais; We'll be able to speak with them come tomorrow morning. We wish we could have picked Arthur too but we would have had to release Ceana or Nick to do so and who knows who would have picked them. Oh, and two more players have entered the area; One is most likely Black and the other is unknown. So there are at least four other players around now.

Oh! Dai, pull yourself away from Arthur for a moment and check the clock. We can't read it well from our point of view, so it's either nearly time for Lu to leave or well past it.

[Scan The Star] Lets see if he's been claimed by anybody. [Scan The Tower] And lets see just how hot and bothered Lu is.

I say we send the the first message to Purple now, but change it. [Message to Purple: '[The Empress: ???] (Claimed by Black)' showed on our level up list of claimable pawns and we do not know how it got there. As far as we know we haven't encountered The Empress yet. Could one of our pawns have passed near her while our focus was elsewhere and that's where it came from? Well, wherever it came from we have to assume Black is in the area. Have you seen any of his pawns yet?]

Lets also ask White about The Empress and see if she can help us with The Star as well: [Message to White: '[The Empress: ???] (Claimed by Black)' showed on our level up list of claimable pawns and we do not know how it got there. As far as we know we haven't encountered The Empress yet. Could one of our pawns have passed near her while our focus was elsewhere and that's where it came from? Also, if you haven't bought upgrades yet could you do us a favor and claim The Star. We'd rather Purple not end up claiming every Inquisition pawn in case he goes totally nuts. Also, we think The Star's abilities would go well with your holy powers.]

My vote is 'Hugo' for the alien's name. It's a good, solid name and if someone overhears it they might think we're talking about a northerner.

If trading The Strength for The Hierophant is an agreed upon good idea, then what should the message be, exactly? "I know he isn't an inquisitor, but he's got the strength and ability to recognize and fight demons, and will certainly be able to help you in your efforts. The Hierophant, however, seems to be crumbling in the separation from his family for the hard work he's been given. We'll still have him concentrating efforts towards the same goal, but he'll have the connection to his wife and son, allowing him to work better."?

Anybody got a better message to send? Anybody want to keep The Strength instead of trading for The Hierophant? At present, two people agreed to trade and zero have spoken against it. I'm not taking sides in this matter, so don't try counting me as a third or first for either side.

For the time being I'm against it. We don't know what Cathal (The Hierophant) would actually bring to us besides improving familial harmony. We know he's a veteran Inquisitor, but what does that mean for us? And Nick has a useful ability that so far appears to be unique to him. Also, we should NOT do a trade without first discussing it with Nick and getting his input. If we trade him off without a word to him, his opinion of us will take a big hit. Not something we want in the guy who's supposed to help us get Purple to cooperate with us. And if he's going to act as the counterbalancing voice of sanity to the zealotry of Purple he's going to need to know that's his objective going in.

>"The one you love most is her!", "False", "She will consume you alive."
I thought the first one said "The one you love the most is best" but "her!" makes more sense I suppose.

"False" is written upon the mirror? That is unusual. It is saying that the mirror's reflections will now be false? Can we no longer trust it to reveal the truth?

If you ask me the Deceiver seems to want to make Dai distrust his mother. That is who he loves most.

As for where we have seen the Empress, I'm betting that it was here >>577531 or here >>578334 disguised as one of the guards. We should scan absolutely everyone from here on out.

Alternatively it could've been in the cellar as the "hallucination". Black's power could be remote viewing, which leaves behind traces when it's used. Or maybe the hallucinations just show up whenever we get overly paranoid.

Alright, lets see what we can see here. The shadow of a something large that appears to have eight limbs is hovering over Dai in bed. It's likely that is the shadow of The Deceiver.

"The one you love The most is her!-" I think "her" might be The Deceiver. The reflected "False" in the mirror may be saying the truth about the phrase above it; That it's a lie. The scrawl behind the bed stack is harder to read so this may not be right: "She will consume you alive"

Taken together this makes me think that Dai was being groomed to be a sacrifice to The Deceiver by whatever corruption was placed on him. But as with everything connected to The Deceiver it could all be lies and deception.

Considering it's almost certain that the Deceiver is the one causing those hallucinations, I don't think we should consider these messages to be either true or false. One can deceive by telling the truth when a lie is expected.

First, there is a horrible lack of Alpha Centauri on this desktop. Prokhor Zakharov will be dissapionted.

I like the desktop background. But yeah as for the cryptic ass messages, lets just do what we always do, shove them out of the way until something comes buy that might make them relevant. I mean we can try to solve the puzzle but without all the peaces it's kinda pointless.

Perhaps, but the mirrors don't lie, that's been our rule on deception, right? If the mirror says it's a lie, then it's a lie. The question is, which part of it? The one he loves the most, being her, what? We don't have that telltale sign for the other message, either. Assuming it is true, who is the she this time? It does not necessarily connect to the lie. It's a good thing we've claimed Atena and Lucrais, we can keep a watch over how they do things.

>The priest? Very well, but I must warn you The Hierophant has been… not one of the best pawns.
Purple himself feels that Cathal is not all that useful, but keep in mind, he's taking more of an active warrior route. He may be useful to us in his own way, following our Wisdom route, but I'm still not taking sides on the decision (as much as I want to bring the family together).

We should decide if we want to make the trade or not while waiting for the game to load back up.

Mirrors only cut through magical illusion.
