Tav seems to be getting restless again. Maybe he's having another nightmare? It's been maybe a week since you remember waking up on that rooftop with Tav bleeding all over you, at least you THINK it was a week, you've been holed up in this windowless room the whole time, so time is hard to gauge...

all you remember is some winged lizard person sneaking up on you and, after trading a few blows, breathing some kind of cloud in your face, then you were on the roof with a bag on your head...

>>30858
You're no doctor, but you think Tav is doing relatively ok, he seems to have a mild fever, but there isn't really anything you can do about that except keep an eye on him for now. You bandaged his chest wound as best you could, but without proper bandages and first aid supplies, all you could think to use was your LUCKY SCARF. Hopefully it'll bring him good luck too.

>>30859
>>30860
Yes, the door has been blockaded to prevent any Engsami from barging in here unwanted. Tav's been drifting in and out of consciousness briefly. He frequently seems to startle himself awake, then quickly lapse back sleep.

Momentarily mourn loss of pin-up poster.

Assess equipment and supplies. What's in those boxes? How much of Tav's gear were you able to bring back with you? If we've lost his weapon, that will be unfortunate for when the Engsami inevitably return.

I'd hate to leave Tav here unguarded, though. That flying bitch would know exactly where to look, and she might be waiting for Deme to leave so they'll both be alone.

But, fortune favors the bold, eh? So, go ahead and... actually, I can't think of anything "bold" to do. That rod-gathering thing seems like a decent idea, though.

You haven't really wanted to risk going out and leaving Tav alone incapacitated, but in retrospect, if the Engsami want in here, you'll probably not be much of a deterrent...

Maybe taking this time to gather the missing supplies for the POWER STATION or some of Tav's bolts would help cheer him up once he wakes up. Where do you wish to fly to?

If you managed to retrieve Tav's weapon, then go to the industrial district to look for repair supplies. If not, go to the militia barracks to obtain more weapons.

Here's what we need for the power station:

-LENGTH OF WIRE
-GEAR
-FLAT PIECE OF METAL
-HAND CRANK
-3 JOLTS OF ELECTRICITY

Do we have any of that already? Either way, we could probably find some of it in the Industry District and the Market.

In any case, defense should be a priority. You should try to patch up Tav's gun. What kind of shape is it in?

It was a rather nice poster...

You've been grinding up the DEAD SHOCKER CRAB HUSK to keep your PLANKTON LANTERN fed over the past few days. The large locker on the bottom of the barricade had several food rations and water rations inside, you've been rationing both between the two of you. Though Tav's needed some help chewing what with being unconscious and all...

Tav's backpack was much to heavy to fly back with. You left it on the roof along with his battered breastplate.

You have a GREEN GEAR that might work. As well the TIN CAN your MUNDU WORM FOOD RATIONS were previously inhabiting could possible used for the FLAT PIECE OF METAL. You still have the box with the lightning bolt hooked to your belt and have figured out how to link it to your new WEAPON. It coupled with BINKY could theoretically give you 2 jolts of electricity, Tav's backpack would be a third.

Have you been doing the mother bird thing with Tav? That is so gross but so sweet.

Guys, there's no hurry on the power station thing. The only reason we're restoring power is to open the escape tunnel, and there's no way we can escape until Tav is healed enough to come with us. We can't abandon him.

Seems the best thing to do is to go find more food, medical supplies, etc. But where do we look? I'd guess the military barracks.

Better leave the non-loose wires in place. Don't want to set off a chain reaction resulting in dangerous explosions or comically loud noises alerting everyone in the city of your location.

>"You have been in and out conciousness for a week, I was really worried you would never wake up. Can you move? We need to escape town before they come for us or at least find a safer place."

Tav applies the LOHRKE MEDICINE to his chest wound through the LUCKY SCARF. He then puts his cloths back on.
"Ok, if you're sure you've found all the items we need to fix the Power Station, then we can get the hell out of here. If the Engsami are all congregating at the Town Hall, then that must mean Kyaos is planning something. She's probably pretty pissed at me for killing Ga'nneda. If you give me your backpack and the items you've got, I'll head to the Power Station to start the repairs, you go to the Warehouse rooftop and get my Shock Lancer, or at least it's back pack."

You give your back pack and everything except your LUMBER AXE, PLANKTON LANTERN, and BINKY to Tav.

Tav wishes you luck and takes off as quick as he can to the Power Station.

You take flight, staying low to try and avoid being spotted by the Engsami gathered at the Town Hall. You arrive at the Warehouse Roof you woke up on. Tav's weapon is still there, along with his battered chest plate.

Since it got deleted, my suggestion for the next upcoming part, both posts combined into one. Keep discussion of it over in the /questdis/ thread.

Guys, if we were on her side we'd be totally cheering for her right now, or doing manly tears over her defiance in the face of long odds at least.

Deme: Use a big hand to stop Tav, and use your other hand to pin Kyaos to the wall. Tell her that the pain she feels over Ga'nneda is what she's done to Tav a thousand times over. Tighten your grip threateningly before informing her that this pain she feels over Ga'nneda is exactly what she's done every time she's ever killed anyone, and Tav shoulders it most of all. Tell her it's time to shut the fuck up and understand what she's done.

Then release Tav and tell him to make her feel his pain, but don't kill her. Let her live after Tav has shown her just what she's done to him, through physical harm and words filled with fury and sorrow. Let's pray her species has some sort of regenerative abilities after Tav is done with her, however.

Also, if she thinks about using that sleeping gas you'll kill her yourself, Neme.

I love to see "redemption" in stories, especially for an antagonist like this. First Tav needs to get her to stop laughing through lots of shouting and physical harm before looking her dead in the eyes and explaining to her what exactly she has done in helping raid and kill Tav's people. I like to think she's still crying over Ga'nneda underneath that cocky persona she's putting on right now, proving there's still at least some "good" in her, so to speak.

Maybe she'll get exiled for losing this fight and letting them get away by the others and eventually we'll gain a third party member in her this way. It's a long shot, but it could work.

Either way, Tav needs to prove he's better than her by both not killing her and trying to force her to see the error of her ways.

Plus... I mean look at their positions and Deme's hands. He could hold them both easily. Perhaps not firmly, but he could hold them long enough to get his message across.

Deme's kept silent throughout most of this ordeal, it's time he had a few words to say. If Tav kills her now, while she's relatively defenseless in a narrow tunnel, he'll be no better than her.

Also, I'd like to add that switching to Kyaos for the next chapter sounds like an awesome idea.

Wow, are you retarded.

Well, let's start with the beginning.

"Guys, if we were on her side we'd be totally cheering for her right now, or doing manly tears over her defiance in the face of long odds at least."
No we wouldn't. At least, I wouldn't. She's a stupid bitch who's killed a lot of innocent people with no remorse and I have no qualms with killing her. Which is besides the point, as we aren't on her side, never were and never will be.

"Deme: Use a big hand to stop Tav, and use your other hand to pin Kyaos to the wall. Tell her that the pain she feels over Ga'nneda is what she's done to Tav a thousand times over. Tighten your grip threateningly before informing her that this pain she feels over Ga'nneda is exactly what she's done every time she's ever killed anyone, and Tav shoulders it most of all. Tell her it's time to shut the fuck up and understand what she's done."
Then watch as she claws us to pieces during our stupid-ass morality speech! BRILLIANT! Jesus fucking christ, she's a horrible murderer, she doesn't care about what Tav has felt or feels, all she cares about is that he killed Ga'nedda and so he must pay. What fucking part of 'self-centered evil villian' are you failing to grasp?

"Then release Tav and tell him to make her feel his pain, but don't kill her. Let her live after Tav has shown her just what she's done to him, through physical harm and words filled with fury and sorrow. Let's pray her species has some sort of regenerative abilities after Tav is done with her, however."
I like how you put all this effort towards not killing her and then you just release someone who hates her so very deeply with every fiber of his being no holds barred to make her feel his pain with the sole condition of 'not killing her'. Whoops! Who'da thunk blood loss could kill people?

"Also, if she thinks about using that sleeping gas you'll kill her yourself, Neme."
Actually that nickname explains a lot about this. But uh in case you've forgotten if she uses the sleeping spores we can't kill her because we're fucking unconscious. And then she kill us.

"I love to see "redemption" in stories, especially for an antagonist like this. First Tav needs to get her to stop laughing through lots of shouting and physical harm before looking her dead in the eyes and explaining to her what exactly she has done in helping raid and kill Tav's people. I like to think she's still crying over Ga'nneda underneath that cocky persona she's putting on right now, proving there's still at least some "good" in her, so to speak."
what the fuck is wrong with you
If she cared about what Tav thought or what she had done to his people she wouldn't be trying to murder him, us, all her people. And of course she is probably still crying over Ga'nedda and that in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY proves that there is still "good" in her.

"Maybe she'll get exiled for losing this fight and letting them get away by the others and eventually we'll gain a third party member in her this way. It's a long shot, but it could work."
If that shot was any longer you could hit Alpha Centauri. She would be way more fucking interested in murdering us in our sleep than going on yaaaaaay adventuuuures yaaaaaaay.

"Either way, Tav needs to prove he's better than her by both not killing her and trying to force her to see the error of her ways."
You're not worse or the same as someone because you've killed them. No amount of Batman you've watched is going to change that. The police kill murderers and cannibals and psychopaths all the time. Does that make them terrible, terrible people? Fuck no! They're keeping us safe every day!

"Plus... I mean look at their positions and Deme's hands. He could hold them both easily. Perhaps not firmly, but he could hold them long enough to get his message across."
I think you've forgotten how strong Tav is (remember that unbelievably heavy gear he carried around /everywhere/ and how fast he moved with it?), how weak we are (lol bird-like structure, hollow bones), and how incredibly pissed off Kyaos is. We will get stampeded and the epic fight will ensue with us face down on the floor in pain with a broken wing or two.

"Deme's kept silent throughout most of this ordeal, it's time he had a few words to say. If Tav kills her now, while she's relatively defenseless in a narrow tunnel, he'll be no better than her."
So now using an advantage makes you worse than a genocidal maniac?

"Also, I'd like to add that switching to Kyaos for the next chapter sounds like an awesome idea."

Uh. Examine what's beyond the door while trying to remain hidden. Can you only hear things that make sounds, or can you echolocate?

You sneak down the hall, pausing at the door to poke your head in. There is another room with two doors on the opposite wall, the one on the right is moving, as if someone in a hurry failed to slam it shut.

>>34455
You use echolocation to see. Your hearing and sense of touch is very good and make for early warning devices.
You approach the door at the far end of the hall and put your face up to the small window in the door. There appear to be two more cells in here. There is another guard, it smells like an Engsami. You think you catch the scent of a Lohrke in one of the cells, most likely the weeping one.

Ok then... if this is the guy the Nedynvor was wanting you to look for, how do you plan to go about that? The key to the cells should probably be in the Guard quarters, which, if you recall from the last few times you snuck out of your cell, was on the next floor up somewhere. The guard sounds awake and grumpy.

Is there any way you can take out the stupid gaurd? Or maybe we should wait and get the keys.

>>

Can you take out the grumpy guard quickly and quietly? If not, perhaps you should look for a weapon.

Also, might check how many guards are in the guard quarters.

Start planning some sort of distraction to draw them out of the quarters so you can get at the keys.

The guards seem to be pretty far away from the cell doors in this layout. Depending on how the upper floor is set up, it is possible we could pull the prisoners out of their cells before anyone could get to the doors.

In any event, we must work quickly before the alarm is fully raised.

Let's head to the next floor up, or see if there's a crawlspace or otherwise some sort of drain system we can get into. How about that little hole in the wall back from our prison room? Can we squeeze through there and then move between the walls?

I've got to go. I'll be back later.

Until I return I want you to remember these guidelines:

Don't kill unless absolutely necessary. Don't let yourself be spotted unless absolutely necessary. SNEAK, BITCH.

How's your backhand? You think you can knock out someone with one strike to the back of the head/neck? If so, do that when sneaking up on people.

Use crawlspaces, dumbwaiters, vents, drains, whatever you can fit into whenever possible. USE YOUR ADVANTAGES TO YOUR... um... ADVANTAGE!

Hell, sneaking out and waiting until nightfall might be a good idea, less light coming in from the windows is a good thing to be sure.

We can't blindly rush in. We don't even know if it is our man. It might just be another prisoner or at worst a trap. Sneak in and remember the basics of CQC

These water drains are tight fits, but I can wriggle through them. I'll crawl in the one in the first room and check it out.

They appear to be linked. At their junction there was another chute that links them with the walls on the upper floors I think, and another on each side that leads further down.

It appears that I'm back at the weeping room.

>>34489
>If not, perhaps you should look for a weapon.

The gear they took from me would most likely be in the storage hold. I'm not entirely sure where that is in relation to my current location though.

>>34531
>Your primary goal now is to put some distance between the cells and you or to kill the witness.

I have no idea what the witness looks like, so I wouldn't know who to find. I can hear some commotion from the room with the Nedynvor in it. They're probably already down here looking for me.

>>34569
>Incidentally, why have the Engsami not killed us yet? They don't seem the prisoner taking types.

They, however, are the slave trading, ransoming types. Problem with me is, they're trying to ransom me back to the Lazuhreks. Which is a negotiation they'll be at for a while, since I haven't been back to the forest for years...

Inaudible? No... very loud? Yes... but I wouldn't be able to talk very well after that and it'd probably defeat the whole stealth element...

>>34805
>How easily could you take out that brute in the chair, do you think? He'll probably wake up if we free Tav.

Not very. He IS awake, which is the problem... if he were asleep I could sneak in easy enough.

>>34806
>Getting your stuff back sounds good but during your previous escape attempts what went wrong?

I don't really know my way around this place so well... so while I end up trying to find the whole reason I tried to break in here in the first place, they eventually cornered and overwhelmed me...

I can tell the general shape and size, size, and distance of something. My nose usually tells me what it is, failing that, my hands.

Nothing sentient in here but me I'd say, and the body's most likely been moved, I doubt they'd just leave a fallen comrade lying in the middle of the floor. Bad for morale.

I don't think that even qualifies as fighting. Level of emotion is way too low for that classification.
