"Look, I just want this over with. What do I need to do to stop all this?" Rina asks.
"You've just brought light of this 'demon' you speak of. It's probably the one those cultist freaks worshipped, and either way we wanted to stay clear and far away from it. We even considered leaving the village altogether, but this was our home...where we were born and raised. They began to build a church, and that didn't go well with us."
> Hmm, so like, the only reason they didn't possess your friends was because they knew for sure they were just people trying to survive? Or what? I was never clear on why our friends were never possessed and turned into husks.
One is more than able to fend off the spirits. Rina has been doing it for a while now.
"Can I trust Black Cloak to end this in a good way?" Rina asks.
"Black Cloak has always been known as a wanderer of the earth, suppressing purgatorial spirits and demons. We started looking into him, studying him. He became our own little 'god' in a sense. We knew if the cultists were allowed to proceed with their practices, they could conjure up something awful. And verily...something terrible awakened. We seeked him out for help and we learned to make the Slab. Unfortunately, that's when the cultists became too powerful and took over the entire village. They stole our Slab and then..." she stops there, looking really uncomfortable.
"What do you know and think about Harry?" Rina questions.
"Harry was neutral at first. He was a broken man with mental issues. We were concerned about it. We thought the cultists would use him and brainwash him to carry out their 'errands', and he has done so. We didn't pay much attention to him at first, but it's apparent we should have. He is more capable than we thought. He is hell-bent on finishing the cultists' work it looks like. I learned of this just recently. Other than that I don't know anything about him or his past," the female explains.
