I say we collapse the primary entrance and set up a secret entrance off to the side like so, that way casual observation will conclude that this once-fortress is now cave in. Hopefully that will be enough to disuade any potential investigators.
If we have to deal with anyone coming to try and reclaim the fortress however, they'll probably try to dig through the rubble or find our secret dside entrance. Therefore we need traps covering a long, winding entrance hall. It'll make getting in and out a little more difficult, and it will mean redirecting the entrances to the farm and storage but it adds a great deal of security.
Now, I advise we also dig out an armory/training grounds for all our future little goblins to learn weaponry in. We should designate one part of this area for ranged combat practice as well, for when we need to train crossbow fighters or hunters. It'll take a bit of carving, but I figure it shouldnt be too hard. While we carve away that corner we should leave room for an upwards staircase so that we can dig upards later if the need be. We can make some symatry by adding a downwards staircase on the opposite end.
We have a lot of room to dig in the back, so I propose that we use that as a sort of starter shrine area so that we have a place to worship and so that we have the gods' support until we're ready to get this tower built seriously.
Of course we should designate a portion of the farm to animal breeding. the exact size will depend on our needs, but a small cage for the cats and leeches should work well. Remember: Right now we need to get their population up, so no snacking, ok?
And finally I think the main hall needs a bit of decoration, A statue should serve nicely, and what best to inspire allies and terify enemies then a picture of two fierce goblin warriors (Stozo and Ozud) worshiping the ground around the feet of Amxu The Great: Goblin Leader?
