It could be used as a makeshift club, at least, and other than scissors we got diddly for self defense.

Using the scissors, I can free the corpse. After arranging the parts I could find into some semblance of a skeleton, it looks like this creature died from some severe trauma to the chest, seeing as how there's a gaping hole in its torso armour, and most of the ribs on that side are missiing. Unfortunately all of the tissues have been eaten away by the fungus, so I have no idea how long it has been in here, but it's obviously been a while. Looks like it had the foresight to buy a stainless steel pistol, though.

TAKE THAT SHIT.

Also check the body for any ammo in pouches or pockets.

The belt looks still good, try it on.
And about the gun, I assume you'll have to disassemble and clean it before even thinking about firing it. And the ammo might have gone bad over time, at least I think so.

The belt does indeed fit, and there is a thingy with some bullets in it, and a holder thingy for the gun.
I don't know much about guns other than you point it at the target and pull the trigger, but I'll take it just in case.

Too bad I can't use those gloves.

...use surgery skills to improvise sewing skills to open an extra hole after the last finger on each glove. Sure they will be a bit ratty, but they will be far more durable than rubber gloves, and then you can keep the rubber gloves intact in your pockets until you need them.

Take the path less traveled, so long as your hover chassis can handle the broken bridge.

Am I the only one who sees the 'break' in the bridge as a skeleton hanging in front of it in the darkness?
>>
No. 39570 ID: 120ca8

>>39569
I... can see it... but I think that based on the scale it'd have to be a really big skeleton. Plus what makes up its arms looks to be repeated vertical lines, so I'm pretty sure it's just coincidental.

Good eye though.

While inspecting the bodies, check out what appears to be a rifle mounted into the mining machine. If nothing else, the two might have more ammunition on them.

39716

Two faces peer back at me, rusted into their armour. The driver is still clutching the controls, and the rust running down the helmet of the other one looks like tears from its hollow eye socketes.

They appear to have died suddenly when they were in the middle of something. There are no signs of trauma at all, and the driver's skin has mummified on its corpse. I would guess they hit some kind of gas pocket or something and suffocated but that doesn't explain the stuff around the feet of the machine.

The machine has two large arms on it with some kind of hammer bits or something on the ends.

See if you can remove the gun the one is holding, and/or search them both and the cockpit for more ammunition or any good not too damaged by age.

All of their guns and equipment look to be rusted together and pretty well useless. I can't take the machine gun off of the contraption, even if I could all the pieces are rusted together, I don't think it would shoot. Weird, all of their ammunition has holes in it. like it exploded or something. I can't take their gloves, I don't have anywhere to put them.

You might want to quickly depart, place all your ammunition out by the bridge, and then come back to continue inspections.

It won't come on, and shaking it doesn't help.
>>39779
There's nothing really in the cockpit, I've already checked that out while I was looking for signs of trauma to the bodies.

>>39771
If their ammo blew up and killed them I'd know. Like I said, they look like they were killed with no signs of trauma, I'd guess some kind of suffocating gas or something. That happens sometimes underground, doesn't it? I know what didn't kill them, but not exactly what did.
