While that might seem plausible at first, remember we were the voice of the sword, and everytime we told her not to hold such a black and white view on evil like that she twisted it around completely. Fluffy is insane.

"I AM the second incarnation of the Overlord, you know, since I died and come back with a different personality? We are totally different people. Now, if everyone would get that, everything would be fine. Chaos can't die, it just gets reshaped. The immoral thing I've done is enslave people to work for me, but, you know, I think that may have made a few of their lives better or no different. It's not like dictatorship or a desire for power is inherently evil. It just has a tendency to to attract evil. You know, that eye of mine you're using in the sword? IF we're going to consider me evil, you have to consider that evil as well because it's forged from an eye of chaos, possibly is from my first, more evil incarnation, and manipulating you for fun and gain. Why don't you do the first "good" thing you've ever done and let that poor girl get a goddamn snack. Eh?"

They're gonna find out anyway, and at least we can put a positive spin on it. Yes, let's not be self-aware, let's show them we're hypocrites by omitting the truth.
Hell, we can go "I only enslave those I defeat in a good battle anyway." then give it an "I'm an honorable slave master" thing. Hell, maybe the culture of this world treats it old fashioned greek slavery beyond the fact that you don't want to be on the receiving end, because back then, everyone can be a slave and everyone is on edge they could be a slave should they lose to an enemy.

Because we are one, technically. Sentient constructs can be considered Demons or Heroes. So can monsters. Fluffy here is a demon by birth who has been striving to become a hero. It's sort of like a citizenship, not creature type.

No, it really isn't. If it were, all our minions would be unkillable in the demon realm once they swore fealty to us. Fluffy's just insane.

Anyway, "Stop me? From doing what, 'acting nice'? You are correct that nothing anyone does can change the past. However, the future is up to us. I intend to make the future a better place. Killing me would obviously prevent me from doing that. You would be making the future worse for everybody. Well, except for those tyrants I oppose, I suppose. Is that what you want?"
>>
No. 384165 ID: 3947e9

How about we focus on her ally now...

"look, regardless of how this turns out your poor friend is starving..." *order minions to bring her a lot of food* "even if you choose to fight me let the poor thing eat something first, she is suffering".
And then while she eats keep working on her, ideally we could recruit her.
>>
No. 384225 ID: f70e5e

I think we should avoid any hint of wanting to enact large scale changes, if we say we oppose tyrants she will interpret that as opposing legitimate rulers, if we say we want to create justice she will interpret that as us wanting to rule to world with our idea of justice, and so on and so fourth. we should focus on how if she can become a hero we can atone and become a force for good. We should also do something about the starvation victim in her party. she's probably going to protest/insist its a trick but if we say something like
"she is obviously suffering, I do not like to watch people in pain."
that will probably shut her up long enough for Tracey to start eating.

p.s make sure whoever gets the food understands that we are actually making a kind gesture here and not trying to covertly poison the opposition.

"Look, regardless of how this turns out your poor friend is starving..."

You have Styx prepare a quick meal.

"Even if you choose to fight me let the poor thing eat something first, she is suffering"

Fluffy stares at you, well stares as best as a thing with no eyes can stare before nodding.

>"Fine, but only for her."

You join them at a table and set the food before them. Her ally quickly starts devouring the food in front of her while Fluffy takes a piece and pulls up her clothes a bit. She presses the food against a black orb and the food begins to vanish.

>"Hmm.. This is pretty good."

"My minions are great cooks."

Her friend nods and keeps eating.

"Now I want you to understand, I don't even remember what I did in my past. The personality I had back then was completely annihilated by the time I was reborn. Philosophically, you are persecuting a being of crimes that his past life committed. And morally, you are accusing an innocent creature of crimes that were committed by a dead person"

Everyone else needs to get to some better medical attention than we have here. Or to a location where they will just respawn after death. Or whatever method we have to recover dead troops. Heck, we could give the non-demon afflicted here revive rings, and simply have the demons afflicted put out of their misery so that they respawn here.

I have no idea which Fluffy is, so she might need a revive ring, but I'm sure Styx would respawn in the castle at this point.

I think this reinforces my theory that the watch detects problems/major plot points and warns the bearer of possible disaster related to them. If Tracey was the disaster, why would the clock tick faster for an unrelated issue with Lilith? We stopped the Lilith issue, and the new one immediately appeared, not giving the watch a chance to stop. Funny enough, the last line spoken before the watch ticked faster again was Tracey saying:

Locking up the cancer mage might be a bit much- and fluffy certainly won't think any better of us for locking up a friend/ally. We just need to make sure she's isolated from non-constructs until the effect wears off. If they end up staying, we can probably manage to find somewhere to feed her where she won't harm anyone.

And let's not grab our eye right now, we've got bigger issues to deal with, and we don't want to like, black out for several hours or whatever grabbing the eye is bound to do to us.

Time to pay the good doctor a visit.

I agree actually, don't go for the eye. For all we know it'll turn us back into Badass Overlord, and now isn't really the time to deal with that.

Aye, but we may need more power. I suggest we have a minion store it securely in a box or sack. We can take it out if we really need to. If we don't cross the Godzilla Threshold, the eye shouldn't affect us just by being near us, given that it was already near us in the sword.

"Then we'll use force if we must."

And with that you teleport to the gates of the Land of Abel.

walk to the gate and if they ask why you are here say "there has been a minor out break of the plague, several of my employees have been affected, I hear there is a healer here who can help."

this, but take off the mask. we can probly charm them all we want to no ill effect.

Alright, first off, we need to act casual. Keep the mask up and show our face. Be polite and respectful. They may be able to detect evil, but good aligned actions and desires may throw that off.

Keep your reasons simplistic. Say you came so you can get help for your friends who are sick and you need to see a doctor so they can be treated.

We are technically a golem, not a demon so we shouldn't be detected by those means either. Just take it calmly and act like an adventurer or someone simply trying to help his friends.

Another method is to say you are an acquaintance of Kass' church and mention one of the sisters who visited us. Should make things easier if we have someone inside to vouch for us.
