Anyone like the idea of setting off an alarm to scare off the army by warning them about the bomb and tell them to evacuate. They should high-tail it back out of the building if we alarm them that it's going to destroy the entire aviation lab and everyone inside it.

We would just need to give them a false location and severity of the bomb, but that it's close enough to the fuel depot to set it off?

This is good, but change it to a major fire alarm in the fuel storage area. Blare out imminent massive explosion warnings for this building over the Iron Cove PA and comm system , and that everyone should get to "minimum safe distance." Basically do everything that the fire alert system would do in the case of a huge fire in fuel storage.

[To: Wendel]
Once the hole's been blown in the wall, bring the roof of the tank up as close to level with the opening as you can. Unless you've got a better way for our guys to get down from there.

We don't have time for a third missile.

Okay, look, there should be some rubble below the hole now. Stand on that, should be at least 3 feet's worth of rock. Hok can jump up on Ben's shoulders then climb like 4 feet up no this is stupid.

Wasn't there a second stairwell? Get the other door and stack the two doors! That'll be like 15 or so feet of cover. Along with some rubble that should be plenty.

I see a flaw in your plan.

Rokoa, how good are you at throwing people?
>>
No. 384435 ID: fcf88e

The rubble, especially the bigger pieces can form a good starting point for the climb and make the distance a bit shorter. Not to mention provide a bit more cover if we prop the door the right way. As for how you climb, I suggest Hok, Rokoa, and Ben switching Hok and Rokoa depending on who's the better climber.

Simply put, Hok and Rokoa both climb up, then they both help pull up Ben as he climbs up. The green marines can wait near the tank to catch you when you jump. Should cushion the fall a bit. Just be ready to book it once you do get down there.

Let's get to the tank, then maybe you can brutally murder him if you so desire or ask him why we shouldn't just kick him out of the tank and fend for himself in the caves. I'm curious too. And why he has so much pride. Since your freelance and working for us, you can tell him you don't give a shit what the AI wants with him, if he talks to you like that anymore, you're going to castrate him, if his race CAN be castrated. Old man SHOULD know his place and know respect for his rescuers. Just make us seem like good guys that don't want him hurt. We just need to keep him alive so the anti-C.A.I. systems don't alert IC to us and maybe work some final magic with them.

[Send synthesized message to snipers; hide from others; run logistics and charm cores to edit and improve tone for believability in a military situation: "Snipers, hold your shots for a moment. Our forces will corner them in an ambush later, where we can capture some alive and perform interrogations. They're still in our territory and we know the area better then them. We'll get them. For now, intentionally miss to make it look like we're desperate to kill them. Turn off your radio's, the Cove will be going silent for a few hours while our special forces meet and plan in the caves."]

Assuming all goes well, we'll have rescued Hok, blown up a large part of the Iron Cove's base, and stolen a leading scientist along with a large quantity of data.

We'll get an official estimate on the scientist, damage, and data when we're back at the Hub, Rokoa. It's not something we can estimate on our own. You need to go back there to talk to Wendat anyway, don't you? As for Hok, I would estimate rescuing him at 20,000 at least. We like the guy.

My unofficial estimate on the scientist is like 20,000. The damage would be worth 30,000. That's a lot of damage! Stealing the data, let's say 20,000. So my unofficial estimate for the mission is 90,000. Uh, was the bio armor worth 100,000? Something like that? I may be underestimating the value of the data we got. So, PROBABLY your debt is cleared after this but we really should talk to our boss at the hub first.

Yeah, to be fair you have done more than your share and did some pretty impressive feats. Did I mention I enjoyed how you dealt with the twins? Because that was impressive.

Either way, you probably paid off your debt in full and considering what you went through, how about a bit of rest and plenty of food to fill you as an additional tip? Since we have the bike data, you can also use the bike to replace the lost of your old one.

All in all, I believe we worked well together all things considering. It wasn't the smoothest ride, but I think we managed to really give the iron cove a real kick in the nards even with the various complications.

>>
No. 384589 ID: e3f578

>>384581
Yeah, rogues seem like they're basically born with a mental disorder or something for your species and have to leave the Hive to survive and adapt, all because they can't sync up with your collective projected mind thought stuff and endure that. Or did Kappi make it sound that way when he explained that to us. I dunno. I mean, I guess it's a culture thing, perhaps your species has even evolved to kill all rogues, which I think you've confirmed when you said you had a built in response to maul Kappi you said you could resist.

What does your Hive suggest the people having difficulties with your telepathic link-ups do before they become rogues and leave the Hive? Take drugs or go to therapy? Or is it a zero tolerance policy and you just kill or imprison those with the difficulties? I think we were made by humans and have a lot of thought processes similar to them, the closest we could even relate to this is prejudice, but this sounds quite a bit different then that.

Hey, what do humans think of your race's politics and culture, generally, by the way?

>>384589
>"I don't think it's a 'mental disorder', they just don't fit in. And here comes a big discrepancy between logic, and basic logic, when it comes to what we do about people in the hive who don't fit in, but haven't gone rogue yet. We don't do anything. We find it very hard to believe that any of our family would leave us, even though it happens all the time. Because at present, they're still one of us, and the hive isn't a thinker, it's a feeler. Gut instinct. Only obvious in hindsight, every damn time. That's why I don't like to stay at home for too long. Too easy to just stop thinking and go with the flow. I could point out people who are obviously going to defect, but I'd get chastised to no end if I dared mention it. Lastly, I don't know what humans think of us. They don't come around often, so we only have factions to judge and be judged by, rather than a specific race."

What, please, Rokoa, he'd have to be an amazing actor to lie with his body language, and his stutters, and everything when he was communicating with us. Our little Kappi does have such a crush on you. A big one. And why not, you're an attractive lady! And an individual who has still managed familial connections with the Hive. If not a crush, it's admiration. We've been establishing psych profiles on our staff members here and his reasons for attraction line up perfectly with our relationship interpretation cores! A powerful woman, capable of anything, despite not fitting in completely with the Hive, still has that connection and sense of abandonment. Poor Kappi wants to belong so bad. To a Hive, to anyone. This is the opposite of Lakkat, who wanted you to go rogue. No, Kappi wants join a "hive". Your little private Hive to yourself. He wants to be like you. Talk like you. He wants to be like you-hoo-hoo.

Fingers will grow back, won't they? To be honest I expected there to be violence involved here. So long as no permanent damage is done, I'm okay with it.

Is it possible for a rogue to rejoin a hive? What does the Hive think about other hives forming that are allied with them?

But yeah. Kappi, better think hard about what you're saying.

Rokoa, Kappi couldn't lie worth a damn right now, even if he was trying. Your mere presence is enough to flatten his mental processes into a thin paste. So lay off before his higher brain functions freeze up like a block of ice.

And Kappi: Spit it out, already! If you get your arm ripped off over this, we're never going to let you live it down.

Man what are you guys doing, always obsessed with shoving romance into things.

Rokoa is a Neumono that has gained her independence from the hive without becoming an enemy of the hive. While Kappi has to hide away from the hive unable to escape from it without becoming an enemy.

Kappi desires that it would be possible to be away from the hive while not becoming its enemy. This is exactly what Rokoa has achieved. Don't you think if there was one person that some how achieved something that you wanted to achieve, something thats a big part of your life, that you would not want to at least see them? Even if meant overcoming something that would make others too afraid?

He wanted to see the Neumono that had achieved a freedom that any rogue would dream of. Freedom from the hive while not being cut off from the hive or incurring retribution from the hive. The freedom to be themselves.

The third one tried hardest of all. Always sending me gifts, even wanting me captured just for an excuse to see me. I even let myself get captured, just to see what he'd want. It was real dedication. Uhhhh
Rokoa, remember what I said about him wanting to be part of a Hive? I can tell he doesn't give a shit about anyone going rogue or being a rogue. In truth, from his psyche profile, he dislikes both being a rogue and being a part of the Hive.

He's a confused man. A man whose boner is his only guide to know what he wants in life. Again, I think he would like to join your hive and I don't mean in a sexual way. I mean he wants to be able to do what you do, be an individual, stay away from the Hive for long moments but still belong in a family. Less rogue, more "Please forgive me, family. I'm sorry for running away but you're fucking nuts and mean and you get in my head but I love you and miss you but please stay out of my precious head. Can I make a family, we can visit every few weeks, have nice dinners maybe even have long hugs. We can talk about how the kids are doing and old times. I have soooo many baby photos to show you and stories to tell."

Look at him. He's less than thinking. Lakkat couldn't get anymore thoughtless than this. You got grade-A Neumono feeling here.

Kappi, I still advise you speak, and not lie.

There are three things you could say here. One, that you want her to go rogue. Two, that you don't and will just deal with things as they are. Three, that you want to go back to the Hive because of her.

[mute second paragraph of the suggestion, keep following comment between C.A.I.]
Ok, those three options are NOT what he has planned or may cause him a LOT of trouble. Kappi doesn't want to go to that particular hive due to how they feel. He wants to be a part of A hive, not that hive.

Telling him to drop it also does not help and can just make things more difficult for both. Let the guy say it in his own words instead of giving the guy 3 options that won't likely help.

>"Shut it, I know. You're confused, and don't know what to do about what you want. You want love, being together, enjoy each others company, the whole shebang. You're not a bad kid, other than being weak and dumb, and I could use a day off after that last mission. Hok's taking his place back. I'm going to stay whereever you sleep tonight. We'll make today and tonight count, because when you wake up tomorrow, I won't be in your bed, and I won't be in your life. And if you know what's good for you, it'll stay that way. If you chase me, I'll know it's because you want me to say the three magical words back to you. For now, you'll have to settle for an alternative. If you come after me after I leave,"
