Firstly, I'd like to say that your .gif-making skills are unmatched on all of tgchan, and I'm absolutely loving the quest so far.

Anyway, I'd still like to subdue and capture the adorable little bastard if possible, but if it comes down to it, we may have to kill it. I'll leave the specifics to the rest of you /quest/ionable gentlemen; I'm off for the night.

WAS THE AXE YOUR ONLY WEAPON? I THINK NOT.

You are wounded, and the beast knows it. It will try to go for your throat, to finish you. That is when you will strike. You must wait for it to pounce, opening its maw, and at that moment ram your sword down its gullet. Be sure to twist it around.

Change of tactics. Get out of there, buy some meat, try to appease the beast. We can tame it and make it our mount!

I really have to take my hat off to your gif making skills.

And this isn't just any hat, mind you. It was my now deceased Grandfather's favorite hat.

hot shit!

you just killed a damn monster! and, its hide is tougher than yours, I can see by the way it got less cut up on those thorns. Know anything about leatherworking? The only way I know involves scraping the hide of fat and putting it in a container of piss, but that's also fairly gross. try lye or something.

Salute our fallen foe, retrieve and clean our sword, then hoist the beast into town to make armor from it's hide.

You know that monster parts are highly valued for alchemical purposes, and some of them are useful for other reasons, but in your previous life as a simple citizen of the kingdom you never learned much about those things!

If you're going to carve off parts of the monster and take some with you, you'll need to decide what to take. The creature is far too large for you to carry it back yourself.

Take its horns, claws, teeth and hide. If you don't know how to properly skin the monster then take the tail instead.

You don't know anything about skinning monsters, and you don't know how to tell their weird organs apart.

But you can take the eyes, fangs, horns, and head all at once; and you cut off the tail for good measure. You clean up a bit and recover your sword as well. This takes some time, and it is evening before you are prepared to set off back toward the town.
