... I think that's been long enough.

Now, that's nothing on you guys, seriously; it's great here. Just sort of floating around, bathing in the whole psychic collective semi-subconscious... thing. Just feeling that connection. But that's just it, you know? It's too nice. You could stay here forever, not do anything, like a drone. I want more.

I'm gonna be somebody. Too many of us, we just grow quick, work for the good of the species, live comfortably, die, come back here and then go out again; even most sentients are happy to stay quiet. Half the people who know about us think we're a full-on hivemind! No, I'm going to do something big, be a player - I'm gonna spread my name right across the galaxy. No, three galaxies!

But first I have to be born.

The Reverse Psychoportation skill sounds like it would be very useful to correct mistakes or to try different techniques in a dire situation.

I'd go for that one.

We get the skills in order. We'd have to level up five times and pour them all into Psychoportation in order to get that skill.

I am inclined to further specialize in telekinesis, on the grounds that it's a very flexible tool which can grant offense, defense, and increased mobility. Pouring more power into it seems highly useful in the dangerous times to come.

All the other powers that we could unlock would bring useful utility, but not to the point that we'd get a serious increase in sheer power.

Level up that Telekinesis.

Telekinesis is nice.
But Clairsentience 2 is important.
>>

lvl 2 Telepathy will most likely also let us control more drones at a longer range. which is why i think syncing with mitrel is a good idea. his very high lvl telepathy would let him wake a ton of the buggers up, and have them scurry all over the ship.
second place vote for me goes for Clairsentience will keep you from being able to be snuck up on by who knows what on that thing.

also if you see a raw Psykonium while in the station grab some handfuls to just snack on while walking around, may take longer to be any use but just eat it slow and steady... actually that is the only good reason to have clothes on right now, POCKETS, big ole pockets to carry stuff around with.

Eating the raw stuff sounds profoundly bad for your health, oh and Telepathy sounds good to me, being able to sense deception would be profoundly good considering Scellor's being somewhat naive in that area.

Clairsentience doesn't sound bad either, and psychokenisis could help, but I don't think the verdict is going in that direction

if you ate too much at once then probably. i mean like use it like a spice on normal food. just a dash on some food cubes. and have everyone share it, just become a ship filled with scellor death machines.

I don't know, but...

Maolla: Synchronize with Rel and Mitrel. Chat during foreplay. Ask about routes to go from the ship to the station and vice versa, like, if they're defended (either by you or the baddies) or even defensible.

I vote Psychokinesis if it's bumping it up to 3. That'll give us psiblast, right? We're up against psi-enabled guys most likely, right? Well... and space doobies.

Telekinesis is my backup vote.

Considering that raw psykonium is mostly iron with psitrons or whatever inside its atomic structure we could just refine the iron until it has a high concentration of psitron-bearing atoms, powder it and react it with fumaric acid
to produce iron psychic power supplements.
Assuming that psitron-bearing elements behave the same way chemically as they do without it this could be a relatively safe way to adsorb psykonium.

Oh and telekinesis because psychic containers are even better for carrying/deflecting hazardous materials like doobie blood.
>>
No. 280511 ID: 2eac65

Our two current powers, telekinesis and psychokinesis, are similar in both name and function. They both serve to exert force on the world around us. Improving either would be redundant. Instead, we should choose a force multiplier.

Thus, I choose Telepathy. My first choice would have been Clairsentience, because information is vital when exploring unknown territory, but it would be more immediately useful to improve our ability to battle our telepathic foe, and would help us take advantage of Maolla's unique psychic connection.

Ideally, we can get an Ulkam drone to help us.
>>
No. 280514 ID: 55a067

Clairsentience.

This point would give us Psycholocation.
>>
No. 280516 ID: 0c7a20

Good gracious. Remember to thank Mitrel, Maolla. He's a credit to his ship.

Clairsentience, definitely. We're looking for a Mysterious Presence, and for a Buttload of Various Parts. It'd help to have a handle what's around you.

Psycholocation could be really invaluable in maximizing Maolla's gains of Parts Found, and avoiding getting ambushed, perhaps even aiding her in finding the Mysterious Presence.

Continue with maxing Telekinesis. Wandering into a broken-down station with the ability to contain dangerous gasses and liquids and also an improvised offensive capability seems the most useful.
>>
No. 280564 ID: a41aaf

Telekinesis. Better to specialise than become a jack-of-all-trades with a wide range of low utility skills.
>>
No. 280572 ID: b28ada

Up PK. Considering the dubious status of weapons, I'd say we need the additional offensive power. Besides, if we get a chance to put some more upgrades into it, we can gain stealth.

Clairsentience.
>>
No. 280616 ID: cc1322

I say Clairsentience. Even though getting the next level in Telekinesis and/or Psykokinesis would greatly improve our fighting ability (and therefore defensive ability), I think the second level of Clairsentience would be even more helpful in combat as well as outside combat. We can always get another level (eventually) in one of the other areas later, but I think Clairsentience would help most in our immediate situation of going into a strange, unknown location. Plus, being more aware of our surroundings will always be helpful forever.

Keep in mind also that various powers can be combined, but we don't know much of anything about that right now and it's not nearly as important as the primary function we gain from a single power.
>>
No. 280618 ID: df7d72

Clairsentience seems very useful. Psycholocation finds objects, people, traps, and would even be useful for engineering work.

Clairsentience 2 is going to be the most useful by far. It's pulled Penji's ass out of the fire multiple times.

>Maolla upgraded her Clairsentience to level 2! She gains the power of Psycholocation!

>Psycholocation allows Maolla to sense the "presence" of physical objects within its range. It can discern between solid, liquid and gas, as well as the density and "texture" of substances. It cannot detect light, colour, temperature or other intangible qualities.

>At her current level, Maolla's psycholocation reaches to a radius of 4 yards. When concentrating, she can increase this to 8 yards, and can reshape the field of her perception, reducing perception in some directions to increase it in others. As her facility with clairsentience increases, the range and malleability of her psycholocation will increase.

>Maolla's Psychic Sense also increases, especially within the range of her psycholocation.

I thought I was going to be stuck at the bottom of the ladder for the rest of this life. The dreams I had before I was born, the aspirations… oh, I just feel so much better now. I've finally taken another step up!

And… hey, we have a whole asteroid made of psykonium, right here! Sure, ok, we need to fix the ship first, make sure we can leave, but then! So much psykonium, we'll all live like kings, like weird-primitive-alien-government-kings!!

And…!
