Do you honestly think you can just leave? You have already lost. You have been severed from your ally and they are being dealt with as we speak.

You hear faint gunshots.

Heheh, no, there are better ways to handle this.

[Arm ship's self-destruct mechanism.]

I don't quite know how resilient you are, but you wouldn't be on a ship if you could could traverse the void on your own. If you survive, then you'll be adrift in deep space until long after the universe grows cold.

He laughs heartily. I begin to take cautious steps backwards.

>No no no, you don't seem to have a grasp on the situation you are in at all!

The lights flicker again and Ire lurches forward another step. I break out in a full sprint away from here, down the hallway to wherever it may lead.

>Ha ha ha. Run little Jimmy, I can wait on my feast. The more it grows, the more I will enjoy cutting it out.

After a few moments of running, I enter parts of the hall where the lights are on, but I keep running as fast as I can until I run out of breath.

So, to put it simply, you are us. Or rather a different us. So what ever we are was broken/shattered/whatever into several peices. And someone/something wishes to use the combined us as a pawn. This makes a great deal of sense considering all the strangeness as of late, but how do we know you are telling the truth?

YOU ARE SURPRISINGLY ACCURATE, ALTHOUGH TO WHAT DEGREE I CANNOT SAY.

AS TO HOW YOU CAN TELL IF I AM TELLING THE TRUTH? THATS THE FUN PART.

"Nope, can't think of anything."

>"Alright, now if you'd excuse me, I have to get my things together. I guess you win, Wisdom.

I KNEW YOU'D SEE THINGS MY WAY, JOHN.

I head back out to the Medical Bay front desk. The Doctor is here.

Inquire with the doctor about where she was when things went crazy. And if she's had any patients aside from John.

"Hey. . ."

>"Yes?"

"What happened, you know, during the launch? What's going on?"

>"Well, I am not quite sure exactly what happened, but I'm fairly safe here."

"Hows that? I've been shot at everywhere I go, and you don't even look armed."

>"Well, they did come up here, but as it turns out, a medical degree can actually save your life. I am apparently the only survivor with a medical degree since all of theirs didn't make it in the launch, so in exchange for my medical advice and skills, I am allowed to stay up here in relative peace."

The door to the inner medical room opens. John is standing there, this time with an LMG strapped to his arm, body armor, and a cigarette.

>"I think its time to get moving."

The doctor looks surprised.

>"Just a minute ago I was about ready to declare you dead, and not only are you still concous with such a wound, but your now leaving?"

He takes a quick puff of his cig then says flatly:

>"I have things I need to do."

He walks out the door.

"H-hey, wait!"

I catch up to him, and walk beside him towards the elevator.

>"I understand you have a friend to find. As I said earlier, I believe she took the elevator up. I am sure you will find her."

"Thanks, but what about you?"

>"I am taking the elevator down, into the belly of the beast, as it were."

We reach the elevator.

>"I don't think there are any of them in the upper decks right now, they should be converging in the Military wing. I would avoid that area as much as possible, especially without heavy support."

"Yeah, but-"

>"Don't worry, you'll be fine."

"Hold on. The doctor was saying that you were pretty much dead, and yet here you are standing, ready to get back into the fight that got you almost killed in the first place. Why arn't you dead?

>"Because Jimithy, some of us are fortunate enough to choose when we die."

The elevator door closes and I begin my ascent. But which floor, and where on that floor should I look?

Silly me <.<

*beeeep*

The elevator doors open, and I step out to the silent corridor. Earlier, there were countless bodies strewn through out the halls and rooms, but they are missing now. It almost looks as though nothing has happened at all.

"From here, I can find the Officer's Lounge, Bridge, E[xternal Weapons Panel, or just explore the halls."

"I'm not really hungry, but I am somewhat interested in what the outside looks like. I haven't seen much of it."

I begin my way through the silent corridors towards the External Weapons Panel.

"The Weapons Panel is basically where they house the controls for any external weapons. Supposedly its attached to a viewing room that they use to visually see test fires."

We arrive at a door with the words External Weapons Panel above it. I walk in cautiously, but find no one inside.

Finding nothing of glaring interest, I walk through a circular room with a raised platform in the center with computers seated towards the center. I enter the Viewing Room on the other side.

It is a dimly lit room with a single chair on the back wall facing towards a large metal clamped window. To the side of the room is a control panel.
