I jerk my head upwards and let loose the magic into the truck. As I am tossed back by the blast, I hear a small voice cry out briefly; punctuated by a rapid series of cracking sounds.

Looks like you've accidentally poked your head into the machinegun firing port. Good news is, all you need to disable it is to get a single solid hit on the barrel (preferably towards the end, where it's exposed) then you can attack to your heart's content.

I think I'm starting to remember. How I failed my maiden quest, how I was shot down over this very desert by these horrid little monsters. How a ... thing in one of those vehicles invaded my mind, and bent me to its will.

I also feel something, at the bottom of the still-expanding sinkhole. Something important. But I don't know what it is ...

That horn is now a usless hunk of bone. If a unicorn loses its horn, it becomes a monster. The horn can not be recovered.

Only one enemy appears to have survived my cataclysmic birth. It levels its weapons toward me, and I feel something trying to reach into my mind. It cannot penetrate the flames.

I return to check the sinkhole. It looks to have sunk as far as it will, exposing some sort of stony cavern. The tank appears to have dropped in during its expansion.

One look at the creature who emerges from the cavern and I remember her. Yes, this is my maiden. Or at least ... was meant to be. I was too late, and avarice and vanity came to her first.

She is no longer worthy.
