Well, crap. See, this is why we wanted you to tell us how long it had been.

Ask what became of the original Gustav.

Grek... Remember how we asked exactly how long ago it had been? You did realise that humans tend to be dead before they hit a hundred, right?

That or they live for a few centuries. If we figure that Grek and Finesse are both young women, then 'middle aged' would seem to be around four to six human/lefferan/volto lifetimes, say 50-70 years apiece.

Actually, we all measure time not as an increment.. but as a percentage. That's why time always seems to be going faster and faster... because each day is less compaired to our whole life perspective. Remember being a child and a single afternoon would stretch on forever?

Also.. to compound this problem.. while the brain has theoretically infinite storage space, it does not have an infinite recall system. Think of it as a library that goes on almost forever.. but the indexing system has to fit in a single filing cabinet. Sure the info is there... 'somewhere' but you just might not find it today.

I'm sure that plays a part subconsciously, but its not like she didn't know that. There's just something about their perspective that must make the passing of a year or two or ten not especially noteworthy. Or at least not the memory of them.

Well then Grek.. I am really not sure what to say here. I mean, I warned you... but even all our warnings... I mean. Ridder wasn't even alive to play host to us back when our message could have been relevant. I'm sorry.

I suppose there is one good thing to come from love between the mortal, and the immortal... even after one is merely dust in the wind... you are still breaking little girl's hearts...

To be remembered and even longed for... long after others have forgotten or moved on.
