Well! I read a very moving story about a dragon falling in love with a mortal.
Wasn't there a movie about that recently?
About something similar, yeah! But unlike the movie, this one follows the perspective of the dragon.
Oh! That's a unique twist!
Yeah! Not many stories written from the dragon's perspective!
(A shame, cause dragons make amazing protagonists.)
(Though it's hard to give them challenges they can't easily overcome with their powerful magic.)
(Could you really make a compelling story without being able to put the dragon in any real danger?)

I don't want to spoil the ending...
...But it does a very good job showing the slow shift from a spoiled full-of-themselves dragon to a soft, gentle creature.

He pushed away his partner, telling him to find love elsewhere. He would devote himself to his order.
Thus, his honor proved stronger than any bond. Any emotion.
And through his sacrifice, he became a powerful and devoted knight.
This book spoke to me on a personal level. I feel it contains an important lesson for us all.

It's been challenging at times, especially early on. Learning to live on dry land, dealing with asshole family members.

Uh... anyway! This is a COMBAT SCENE! If you've played an RPG, you're probably familiar with how this works. Ceri and her opponent take turns attacking each other until one emerges victorious. Alongside the HP and MP bars is the TILDE bar. Raising an opponent's TILDE will make them less able to dodge-- important because Outissa is a very dodgy person!

It is possible to win without doing that, though Ceri will struggle to land any hits.

Obviously, making you guys pick Ceri's action for every single turn would take ages, so instead I'll let you guys decide on how this combat should go.

An important note: Ceri doesn't have to win, and sometimes the story's better if she doesn't!

This is a PATH vote. Your PRIMARY CHOICE will also choose the PATH you want to go down. It can be a good idea to use your SECONDARY CHOICE on the other PATH, so you still have a say even if your PATH doesn't win.

You quickly make your way towards where the DRAGON FAN CLUB was headed.
Conveniently, regardless of if you came straight here or not, you're easily able to catch up to the others.
You thank the kind and merciful gods for not bothering to put in a fail-state.

I once read an interview with one of the creators of this game in a magazine. Apparently the game was, at one point, a bit less nice to the player than it is now. For instance, originally you could only choose your OUTFIT once per day (kinda like we're doing in this LP), and being naked would make you permanently miss out on certain scenes.

Another example: You'd originally be forced to accept the result of a COMBAT if you lost, having to reload your save if you wanted to try again.

But those ideas and similar 'punishments' were removed in the end! Cowards!

In fact, I doubt they ever seriously considered adding "LOL you didn't come straight here so you missed them!" as a thing that could happen here. There's no way they'd have the Siphon-balls to do that.

That's right, original creators! I'm calling you weak! Weak!!!!
