They seem to be blueprints mixed in with documents and blank paper, related and unrelated to each other.

Most of the documents have names on them, seemingly related to other robots or beings created here.

The blueprints do not have names, they depict mostly inhumanoid machines

head down, maybe you'll find someone down there.

Kinda late to the party, but I want to try some things.

run these:

sfc /scannow
Should scan the system for any errors or corruption. As we are not an admin, it may not actually work tho.

wmic logicaldisk get caption
Should list the mounted drives in the system.

chkdsk (drive) /f /r
This should ID the corrupted portions of the system. As we are not an admin, it will probably not fix it tho. Replace (drive) with each drive returned in the wmic command, one at a time.

>Examine the broken bars, but don't try to head through just yet.

You take a closer look at the bars, many of them seem fine except for a few that seem slightly bent and out of place, but the main interest is the broken one.

It doesn't look like a clean cut, more like it snapped with strain, but very quickly. Something heavy, or strong, hit or ran into it. From which side? You can't tell.

A black oily liquid seeps out of the cell.

As you turn to leave, you hear a slight noise behind you, stopping and turning you hear it again.

Perhaps they're actually those objects outside the cell? They'd be awkward to wield, though.

Searching through the papers, you find a single blueprint relating to Protyte, seems to be part of a few of them, this one detailing the internal organ system of Protyte.

His organ system was most definitely damaged when he was attacked, but luckily the blueprint states the system is not vital, but cannot be disabled, being the reason why he hasn't just deactivated breathing if it's causing him trouble

Protyte falls silent for a moment

the only door we've seen WITH a label is the one right next to the cage. Though the door next to the hatch does have it's switch busted.

Quick question though, do you have enough of the blue prints to unpin him safely or do we need to find more yet?

>do you have enough of the blue prints to unpin him safely or do we need to find more yet?

You could possibly take out the one on the lower one on the left, the main problem seems to be with the right one, that could have damaged some crucial internal systems. The neck is a risky one, but possible with care. the leg and hand do not matter as both are probably non-functional at this point.

If he survived and is able to move his head, it's relatively safe to say that removing the one in his neck wont kill him

"Take the label anyway, says 'Terminal Hatch' so, if you see a hatch or something anywhere without a label, fair to say this is it"

He manages to throw the label and four screws out of the cell towards you, landing at your feet. You place them in your inventory for later.

Guess we have another goal besides get out of here and that's to find more blue prints to see if we can't actually unpin him from the wall... and maybe something to let him actually get up the latter out of here because I doubt he's climbing out with that leg and arm.

Oh, and since you're down here. use screwdriver to remove the xeno sign on the door to see if that unlocks it.

This pair of facts does imply something.

"Alright, before I go, four more things. One: Just to confirm, you mean Xeno when you mentioned 'the big man?' Even if it's an easy assumption to make based on context, I want to be certain."

"Two: Where are we, exactly, as a group, and what were we doing here? Even if you aren't privy to all of what went down, you should be able to catch me up on that much."

You agree, touching the L.M directly, you feel it's quite like putty, and after a few seconds with a thin layer on your finger, it hardens. Putting this where the spikes are would stop them from ever coming out.

While that would look cool, you don't think Protyte would quite like having massive spikes coming out of his back.

"There are ways, bypass them, which is incredibly difficult and dangerous, or fix them in a terminal. I think there's a micro terminal in Xeno's office? But there's also a full one connected to your capsule, I don't quite remember where though- Nevermind, it would have to be used by someone else while you're in the capsule, you'd have to try to get me off of here first-"

You hug him, asking how he was able to stay sane during all of this, after all this time.Protyte goes silent, before chuckling softly

"I had a feeling, a feeling I held on to, one I knew quite well after a while. The focus on it, thinking about what I wanted to do.."

You ask what he means, what emotion is he talking about?

Instead of pulling with all your strenght, make short pulls one after the other.

The restrictions cause you to strain, without them you would be at full physical strength

>Instead of pulling with all your strenght, make short pulls one after the other.
Inertia is an integral part of the ecosystem.

You agree with this, but this would also need more strength to be able to even budge the spikes. You need more strength to free Protyte, but to get more strength safely, you'd need Protyte out to run the terminal commands..

Maybe you can try to see if he budges when pulling his entire body instead?

"F-Four months, w-why? Was he waiting f-for you..?"

You nod, looking around, not even remembering what you were in here to do..

You begin to think, do you continue to look around, or go see Protyte and come back later?

He waited years before we found him. He'll hopefully be able to wait at least a little longer. Regardless, we're gonna have to get seeing isen's current condition out of the way. It might be frightening, but as long as he's still him, there should be no need to fear.

You came up here looking for something to help free Protyte from being pinned to the wall. Which is kinda hard to do with Isen covering the light. Ask him to please move so that you can see what you're doing.

And no matter what, do not freak out when you see Isen!

Robots have PLENTY of mechanisms to heal. Shape Memory Alloys. Various damage mitigation systems, including spraying different materials to mitigate structural damage. Use of many small sensors to route around damage. Carrying embedded spare parts. Being not just a single robot, having small repair bots capable of doing tasks like cutting and welding or similar the way humans have cells, but bigger. Full on nanotechnology might be a thing. Fitting a sapient AI into a self-mobile, humanoid shaped and sized entity means that there's some very extreme tech going on!

You give them some time, waiting for a while as their conversation goes on, you've never seen either of them this happy before,, must help to have some memory

Alpha stops, blinking for a moment, "Hey, what's that? Up in the corner? My cameras are sensing,, something else besides the oil"

Isen looks up, blinking, "I don't see any,, Oh! Isen!"

Alpha's eyes widen in shock, absolutely lost for words as Isen's face appears in the corner

Protyte looks down at his injuries, thinking.

"The spikes seem to have just hit my artificial organs, if we if we find a terminal we can run a diagnosis on Zero and I and see what the major failures are. The two of us are in safe mode as evident by our eyes"

Alpha takes a shakey breath, composing herself

"T-There's a terminal behind Zero's transport chamber, b-behind the closed hatch, I c-can try to open it for you to give you access, but I have a feeling Protyte won't be able to fit through with their current condition, so nothing can be done about Zero as of right now.. Ah, Protyte can't go into the other room, but Isen could. Do you have to interact with the console just to let the robot in the pod out? Or can the connected robot disconnect themselves? I'm guessing the former, otherwise Isen could just go read the console for you and it wouldn't be an issue.

Anyway, I say we go investigate the survivor. Still got that flashlight. Odd though, to mistake their eyes for yours... it can't be Beta or Zeta. Do we know of any other robots?

You ask Protyte if a bot can disconnect themselves from the terminal, he shakes his head

"The capsule will keep you locked in transport mode until you are disconnected by someone with terminal access, or if the capsule experiences some sort of malfunction"

Disappointing, but then again, it seems as if your only issues are software related, so that's good

>Anyway, I say we go investigate the survivor. Still got that flashlight. Odd though, to mistake their eyes for yours... it can't be Beta or Zeta. Do we know of any other robots?

You obviously don't know since your memory has been lost, so you turn to the other two, asking them who they think it may be

Protyte answers first, "The only guaranteed green eyes I can think of is Zeta, Security bot, bad news for us if Xeno didn't want us leaving, anyone else could be having a software issue like you. Also, who's Beta?"

Isen thinks at the same time, before speaking, "W-Well, there's many bots, some don't even have proper names yet.. Project Delta,, all the Zeta bots.. a-actually, most bots aren't made to completion, most aren't e-even given an AI.. It could be any of them.. Protyte responds, "They were the security bots of the facility, there were about a hundred to my knowledge, about 10 in each section of the facility. Xeno was either saw them as a threat too and attacked them, or he's used them as a way to keep us locked up in here. I'm fairly sure the security room was through that dark hallway in Xeno's room"

"Well that's good to hear!" She responds happily, but you could tell there was something wrong from her expression, Isen could tell too

"A-Alpha.." He says timidly, "I k-know you're worried about me, but I'm f-fine,, nothing much more can be done about me.."

Her expression doesn't change that much, it seems she already knew that

"I know.." She responds quietly, "I'm just happy to have you back"

The room falls into silence as Alpha takes a moment, closing her eyes and seemingly taking a deep breath, before opening them again

"The quickest and easiest way to the deeper parts of the facility would be through the Zeta hatches, through the hallway, there's no cameras in there, or at least none I can access.. so you'll be on your own until you find me at a monitor, though I'll still open the hatch for you"

What reason do we have to believe outside is even an option for us? Our family might be broken, but there's one piece missing, we're not leaving without Vixen."

Alpha responds, "I agree, my last detection of Vixen's whereabouts before Xeno cut off my admin control was in her growth pod, her vital signs seemed stable and the pod was designed to keep her alive. Plus, another reason to go deeper is to get you fixed Zero, and maybe even get Protyte a new leg or body. Leaving is possible, but then again, why would Xeno have left the front door open for us to just walk through? Our options are sit here until our deaths, or attempt to find other survivors and find a way out, or a reason Xeno.."

Protyte seems to stare at Alpha a little stronger as she stops speaking, looking a little worried

"N-Nevermind that, our main priority is finding survivors, we'll be able to tell if Xeno decided the security bots were a danger once we open one of the Zeta hatches, if there's an intact bot inside then we'll have to be careful, if not then the facility should be entirely safe"
