Meanwhile "Not yet, the ship still has a ways to go. How many humans are left? We want to make sure we include enough room." Slime asked Coordinator.
"Well, there's a few centers left. I only know for sure about the ones that are running radios." the satellite bound AI said. "I can see a lot of lights down there at night, but I don't know if those are just automated."
"The biggest population is in the Shimizu Mega-City Pyramid. They told me to stop calling, and that they weren't going to leave. I guess they're all still there, so that's a million or so."
"There's a seed bank and lab up in the Yukon, with a radio telescope. They always tell me to shut up and get out of the way. I don't know how many of them are there."
"Just recently there's been another signal, way out in Appalachia. They play music and community news. Sounds like there's a bunch of farms out there. I-I've actually been practicing singing a little, so maybe I could be on the show too."
"And that's all I know about." Coordinator finished. "Thanks. That's very helpful. My mmm, associates and I will discuss this and get back to you." Slime hopped away from the microphone and huddled up with its crows.
"How do you guys feel about humans? I remember them being jerks." Slime asked.
"I heard that too." one of the crows said, to a chorus of nods in agreement. "But I also heard they made good snacks, and they left all these good shinies behind. We ought to get them to make snacks for us."
"I agree." said Librarian "I need humans to write more books for me. I can't leave here, but if you could conquer some I would be very grateful."
"Right." Slime said "We'll get us some humans. Should see what the rest of Slime is up to and we'll make a plan. Which group should we go after first and what's our tactic?"
D: West, across the ocean
E: North, in the icy wastes
F: East, across the continent
"I uh, I can still hear you." said Coordinator
