On a solitary tree atop a remote hillock devoid of civilization, a sorcery fruit grows on a branch. After approximately 100 years the fruit has ripened, and is now ready to burst open and bring forth a new sorcerer unto the world.

Sorcerer
Homo Sorcerous

The Sorcerer is an odd creature, born of fruit and brought into the material world fully formed and cognizant.

The Sorcerer is often if not always born clothed with garment on body; whether it be cloak, coat, or armor, and garment on head; whether it be hat, helmet, or mask.

The Sorcerer is often if not always born knowing it's own name, some having as many as 50 names

The Sorcerer is often if not always born with a human-like form, though it may have a number of abnormalities such as multiple eyes, fingers, arms, etc.

The Sorcerer is often if not always born with one type of magic it can perform, whether it be specific with one application, or broad with great versatility .

The Sorcerer is often if not always born with what it will claim is an "Infinite Psyche".

The Infinite Psyche is often if not always responsible for deciding the sorcerer's garb, form ,powers, and name in the moments before it is given life

Describe the sorcerer's clothing (body wear and head wear)
Describe the sorcerer's form (body-type and abnormalities)
Describe the sorcerer's type of magic
Say the sorcerer's name(s)
or let the sorcerer choose it all for itself…

For form, perhaps the addition of horns and a third eye

Body Wear: A simple, flowing, dark, single piece raiment capable of covering the entire body from the neck down. Perhaps reminiscent of the burial garb of common folk in a time long past.

Head Wear: Matching hood with a lighter, drab yet delicate veil, capable of covering the entire head and face. The light material is more or less transparent from the inside, allowing the wearer to see. At least during the day.

Body Type: Adult Human Male. Noticeably but not abnormally taller than average, with a slight build.

Abnormalities: 100% Transparent Skin. Blood, bone, muscle, and innards are all on horrific display for all to see.

Magic: Flesh Weaving: With a touch and a thought flesh of all sorts can be healed, wounded, enhanced, degraded, bisected, combined, weakened, invigorated, and more.
The more the sorcerers flesh is obscured, the weaker his powers. Isolation counts as obscuration. Conversely, a large number of witnesses enhance his powers.
The power works on all flesh. Living, dead or otherwise.
The power does not work instantly, does not inherently deaden pain, and does not inherently suspend vital processes.
The results are permanent, as if they were mundane surgery.
The sorcerer can use the power on himself, but significant alteration of his form may count as obscuration.

Name: For now he will be known simply as The Weaver.
May his achievements grant him countless titles!

Ryoka-Shu Ploetha Hecate

The name echoes thorough her head as the sorcerer fruit bursts into light and juice.

The crystalline magic flows through her veins

The sun is shining.

Ryoka-Shu scans the horizon, taking in the scenery of the world she was brought into, before the sound of footsteps get closer...

Growth and manipulation of crystals, huh?
Well, it should be very easy to make a field of crystal caltrops.
Could also try making crystal armor and weapons, though I am not sure exactly what type of crystal would be best. Could try crystal projectiles...
Something that could be very difficult would be to grow crystals in their bodies. Even just calcium crystals to seize up their joints would be effective, like super-arthritis.

Ryoka steps back and prepares a couple of crystals, in case the stranger isn't as friendly as he seems.

Ryoka-ShuWho were these people? Why did they want to eat me?
???: The Happy Gourmands will eat anything that is rare and exotic, the heathens aren't above attempting to eat sorcerer fruit either the scoundrels! I don't know how they could've found this place though! I kept it so well hidden…
Ryoka-Shu: You kept this place hidden? And just who are you?
???: Ah! Of course I must introduce myself!

The stranger springs into view

Enok: I am Enok Ridan of the 29th Highway! Road Nomad and Expert Wizard! It is my privilege to tend to the Roads that bind the worlds together and occasionally guide those that wish to use them!
Enok: I understand why you look at me with caution, but it is I who tended to you while you were just a fruit! Shutting off the roads leading too and from this place, plucking the smile-worms from the branches, and occasionally warding off beasts that wished to eat you!
Enok: My apologies for leaving you unattended! I had to step away to converse with the Illuminated Triad for a second! Luckily you were born just in time to defend yourself!

Ryoka relaxes a little

Ryoka-Shu: I am Ryoka-Shu Ploetha Hecate, but I guess Ryoka-Shu or just Ryoka will do, why go through all the trouble to preserve my tree?
Enok: Why! Because you're a sorcerer of course! Your kind are revered in many places, including the Caravan of the Road Nomads! It wouldn't be right not to help!
Enok: But…I will admit my intentions are not driven solely by reverence. I was also hoping you could help me, help us all.

Ryoka-Shu: You said you were a wizard, is that different from being a sorcerer?
Enok: Years of practice. I'm still human who had to learn how to use magic, and even still my spells don't match up to the power of a sorcerer. Your magic is more potent, it's biologically a part of you, meanwhile using too much magic will give make me pass out.

Enok raises his hand and a large metal gate falls from the sky.

Enok: Paths that connect a number of lands together into what is known as The Circuit. Created by the gracious Bitumon to bring unity to a fractured world.
Enok: The Pot Hole is due north, there are a number of roads we can take to get there.
Ryoka-Shu: Why can't you drop a gate portal thing that teleports us there?
Enok: After the last assault on The Pot Hole it's learned how to give off disruptive energy that messes with the road entries I can summon, we will have to walk.

Enok puts a hand to his cone and thinks

Enok: We can pass through Octo's Flotilla, it's an alright city to pass through. We might even manage to pick up some cheese on the way!
Enok: If not there than we can head up into the Dump, that place is crawling with giant bugs and other critters but nothing either of us can't handle.

Oh and you might want to make a crystal platform for you to stand on and grow some sharp crystals sticking out of the bottom incase that worm thing behind you isn't friendly and tries to take a bite out of you. Also speaking of the worm ask Enok if he has any idea what it is.

Ryoka can sense her crystals, but when using them to dig through mountains of garbage she won't know if what she's sensing is a useful item or another bag of trash.

Ryoka raises a pillar to avoid the trash worm burrowing around her. The creature smashes face first into the crystal, but quickly proceeds to continue it's attack on Ryoka.

Enok points a finger at the worm and a large conical prison surrounds it.

It smells like warm plastic and pixie sticks

Enok: Filth Annelids, pesky things are about again. They're not usually up this close to the surface of the trash though, must be spawning season.
Ryoka-Shu: ...Hey do you smell that?
Enok: No, My beard plus my helmet make for a great filter against the scent of garbage.
Ryoka-Shu: It's not just the garbage, it's something else that way.

The crystal spikes don't make it through the worm's hide, and when pushed further end up breaking completely!

Ryoka instead drops a large crystal on its head to kill it, and even that takes two or three strikes to kill it. The filth annelids are quite durable, which makes a sort of sense seeing as if they were soft they'd tear their flesh on any sharp debris lying in the garbage.

I do remember this weird feeling though, like a lot of information was being put into my mind at once. Enough to function and some extra, but small things are missing.
Ryoka-Shu: I knew cheese was food, and I know years are a unit of time. I don't know what "hylic" year and a "pneumatic" year are.
Enok: A hylic year measures the physical age of your body. A pneumatic year is the measure of your astral age, the form that's composed of your mind, soul, and other nonphysical components. Despite being born fully grown you're still barely a day old in hylic years. Pneumatically speaking I think you're in your 30's.
Enok: The average mortal will gain a pneumatic year for every 10 hylic years, though as a wizard my studies involve me undergoing exercises and training that raise my pneumatic level much higher.
Enok: Sorcerer's are born with more due to the immense power of the magic they have naturally

Good idea.

How do we get across? Would it be safe for us to create crystal platforms or should we not do that because it'd mess up the paste?

hmm, well after he said the pot hole was smart enough to leave traps and then he said this place looks better then he thought it would... well I'm just going to say keep your guard up.

And maybe make crystal walk ways so you don't step in the goo. It looks like it would be easy to hide something beneath it.

The pot hole left traps when it was entered, but could it leave traps further away to prevent us from getting to it?

Both of you should be careful with how empty this place seems to be.

The lagoon must be so pasty it'll just stick around for awhile.

I'd bet the pot hole is directly beneath it.
Time to find a way down.
