I'm sorry, what quest is this? This is not DapperQuest. This is not AlcoholQuest. This is not ThugAbuseQuest. This is fucking CASTQUEST. Let's do this. First off, recruit that thug. No, don't fuck around with me sir. You are a GOD DAMNED GENTLEMEN AND YOU WILL ACT LIKE ONE. Pay this chap off. You killed his fellow as a means of establishing dominance. Inform him of such. He is an underling, he will behave as such and LIKE IT.

On that note, this bar is ours now. We buy it with our phenominal inheritance and establish it as a base of operations. No old man, do not fuck with us. You are now member 3 of our party. You will not venture with us, as you are god damn useless in combat, but you will maintain the headquarters and see to it that it welcomes our new Cast. You will also be a kindly old sort who dispenses quizzical information, whether it be true or not. I don't give a shit if that was your character before, it is now! What the hell do you think we're paying you for!?

That said, we're going out. And at that point, I'm gonna take point of our Dapper gentlemen.

"I say, Marcellus." Don't sass me, Thug, that's your name now. "Oswald seems quite the capable chap. Bit odd, I might say, but in that I find him amusing. Ah, no need to speak, dear fellow. Terribly sorry about your friend there, but I simply could not abide such a ruffian. I'm sure he'll recover in a few days. Unless I struck him dead, in which case I'm doubly sorry."

Marcellus, if he did kill your buddy, you start to develop a horrible grudge. This bastard thinks he can just boss you around like he owns the damn world. Oh, you'll travel with him. For now. But first chance you get, you'll see that he gets his due, RIGHT PROPER.

"That said," our hero, now named Walter Shome, pronounced like SHOW with a soft m at the end, "I feel there's much for us to do at this point. I dare say we should find others to aid us in our endeavors, whatever they may be. I have yet to decide. Hmm. But at the very least, we may begin from here. Let us depart, in search of a colorful cast of assorted fellows to join us in our madcat adventures!"

To which Walter heads off, in quite the dramatic fashion, intent on recruiting others to his currently undefined plans and processes. He fancies a show, at the moment. Perhaps a visit to an opera house is in order. He'll have to tidy Marcellus up for it, but maybe the chap cleans up nicely. And mayhap he'll be able to recruit a talented opera singer on hard luck, looking for the long lost heirloom of her family? Or perhaps he'll find an exotic dancer girl, foreign and beutiful, who harbors an intense hatred of the upper class, to which she exposes our hero to her lethal fighting techniques! Or maybe...

Well, you get the picture. Gentlemen is Walter. Thug is Marcellus. Bar Tender is Oswald. And this is CastQuest. Let's do this, my fine fellows.

There are quite several things wrong with this, my good chap! First and foremost, my dearest uncle still clings to life, and with him my inheritance. I have spent my last penny on this damnable failed quest. No, I am afraid we will not be paying off anyone today, much as I would like to.

As well, from the information gleaned when I entered into this town, the bartender's name is actually Horace. His wine bar appears to have been overtaken by ruffians. Quite the bother.

Also, I wouldst thank you not to give the delinquent any ideas. Heavens knows what he could do if I turned my back on him. No, I do not think I will be having a jolly roundabout with him.

Finally, my name is Rufus Cavendish. And this town is sadly lacking in the finer arts.
>>

Doho, I see. So, the nomenclature of this society is not to be deemed by we then? And fellows might have a background not of our proposal! Preposterously expected!

Ahem, very well then. Master Rufus, I dare ask perhaps the unthinkable. Are you a man of character? Or does your attire disguise a villain? Your uncle could be not long for this world in the proper circumstances.

WHAT?! Just what doth thy insinuate? That I would murder my dearest uncle in cold blood? No! I will not have your filthy lies! Your cruel mind disgusts me, sir! It is my fault for getting into this doomed questing venture and I will be damned if I kill my dearest family member to escape it.
>>
No. 10500 ID: 2e1743

Now don't get yourself in a huff sir, it was just a passing notion, that's all. Now listen here, it seems to me that we're at a bit of an impasse. What say we go and find us a right proper crew to take care of our more menial tasks while the bright and talented work on means more appropriate to their station, y'dig?

So what say you to us finding some easily impressionable sorts and making them our underlings? Or at the very least, let's bail outta this two bit joint and find us some easy money.
