Say hello and introduce yourself! Ask her name- is she the daughter of the shrine maiden who works here?
>>
No. 844117 ID: ba506f

didn't the shrine maiden say she lived alone here?

This.

Fox girl (or cat). That much better than yeti shapeshifter. That is a win, let's roll with it.
Nice to meet you. That was surprising, Yumiko said she lived alone. What is the story I'm not been told?

Shapeshifting fox! Ask her if she is the monster that wrecked your snowcave. Also, ask why she's hiding up here on a mountain since she seems nice enough.

>Who is this?
The fox spirit. Who else lives here?
>What do I say?
Aah! I specifically asked not to be smote!

Maybe you should look out a window.

Tell her about Yumiko, the food, how she said she knew you'd come here, and how Yumiko claimed to be the only person here.
>>
No. 844194 ID: ba506f

...you know this would really suck if all this is just a hallucination brought on by freezing to death.

But yeah, let's not think that way. Ask her who else lives here and what they're like. I mean it sounds like you might be stuck up here for a few days until the storm calms down so might as well know who your neighbors are. Also describe to the kid what Yumiko looks like... maaaaaybe the kid doesn't know her name because she's a priestess and just calls her priestess or some other nickname. yeah that sounds plausible, much better then being tricked and trapped here with a bunch of weirdos for reasons unknown.

Hug for warmth. Then look outside. If it's suddenly spring, just leave while you still can.

Tell her maybe you're getting the name wrong. Ask who else is here.

If we are hallucinating in our dying moments there is nothing to be done about it. Let's just assume this is not the case and face those events like real, or at least a much less severe distortion of reality.

Maybe I assumed wrong, but it seamed to me that Ruby were from a setting were there were mostly normal humans with the occasional supernatural. The human part may have been a leap of logic but in case it wasn't, guess we just accept this fox girl as way better unnatural encounter than monsters or ghosts like we were expecting.
Since the way she is describing this place is completely different from the temple we entered ask her to clarify where we are and what she is.

Maybe ask where you are?
>>

uhhh... you're not sure, you just met them. New, remember?

Distractedly ask them about the temple - you just got here. Explain away your confusion, saying you've been feeling a little under the weather of late. You might be getting a cold, you think.

Perhaps you've traveled backwards in time. if so, at least you're making good time on your journey through the mountains!
Follow her around. In for a copper piece, in for a gold.

Are seriously don't want to hang out with a demy god? It's not everyday you meet someone like that and, lets be honest, you don't know if you will be able to meet her again with how weird this place is.
Accept her offer. It will be nice to get such an exclusive tour.
So what is like to be a a fox something? ...spirit?
>>
No. 844385 ID: 7152b7

... So maybe your in the spirit world now?
Who knows.
Your wandering has clearly had it's consequences by now. Letting her show you around couldn't hurt at this point.

Ok I'll promise but if it's something that could get us both in trouble then maybe we should just leave it alone for now. Hate for you to get in trouble just for trying to be a good host.

Sure, just keep in mind that since this person is (apparently?) going to become a deity, such a promise is probably a more serious than usual commitment.

Why would she would to take us there any way, is not like we will stay here much time. Besides, she "can" but we don't.

I feel it's more along the lines of we don't want to get her into trouble and like she said, it's only for the head priest and as far as I know away, you are no priest
