The journal reads, as such:

"This Cursed Sapphire is really getting my goat here. It's hard enough managing the prisoners without Lifeplaners interfering. I've placed them in Limbo for the time being. They're high up enough they shouldn't interfere with the 'hero' system I've set up. I've told her she's been 'cursed' and need to 'SAVE' someone to be free. Once that's done with I'll send them on their way...

Dip isn't... entirely certain. Dip survived falling from the second floor! But... When he came too, he was here, and he saw Naut skedaddle off towards the basement area.

The ORB comes out of Sapphire's INVENTORY

Mini Warden:
>"Alright alright, What is it. ...Oh. You lot again. How many times do I have to...? Ugh. Anyway. Listen, I've given you viewing access from SAVE and NAUTQUEST, but the titular character of the latter has escaped from my containment cell. They were getting too close to something that would have ended poorly for everyone involved, so I had to step in. But now they're back out. Probably trying to do something similar.

>Anyway, You remember sapphire, right? Sapphy? The Rabbit Naut was absolutely terrified of? Same rabbit. From the looks of it her ESSENCE SIGNATURE is strong enough that it's attracted his presence. He's in the house.

>Somewhere down in the Limbo area is also that trio of prisoners from before. The ones you turned into an Umbrella, Margarita, and Compass? No doubt knowing you're here you'll find them eventually, so there's no use interfering. They're still trying to get out of the prison, you know.

>Tell you what. Since I'm a betting man and you tend to make things... hectic, If you can gather up everyone and bring them to the FINAL DOORWAY, I'll let them leave.

Dip comments that things got a lot more boring when exposition central just decided to show up and gab his antennae off.

... Okay, I've got a plan.

Combine the TOOTHBRUSH with the UMBRELLA to form a FUZZYBRELLA, then combine the BODE TOOTH with the BUDDHA STATUE to create OCCULT BUDDHA STATUE, then brush the OCCULT BUDDHA STATUE with the FUZZYBRELLA.

This isn't rocket science. I'd also suggest combining the tooth with the margarita to create a stat-boosting consumable, though the risk of disease is high, even for Dark Zone inhabitants like Dip.

Do NOT combine the tooth with the brush, though. That would be like combining eggs with a fork - metallic taste, dangerous by paradox AND disease.

There's a CHECK IN BOOK here, like a hotel would have.

Nothing seems Amiss.

There's 20 FLOORS TOTAL, and each has 10 ROOMS.

She is the best artist, by FAR. Undoubtedly! Obviously.

Also there's a bunch of numbers and words and graffiti in this book. ...Makes sense, considering this is an apartment building, not a hotel. Why would they need to keep track of names if the people LIVE here?

Aw man we wasted a turn. Note to self: big attacks take a charge-up turn.

But yeah we need to full-defense this turn. Overrun could at max do 12 damage so we can't kill it before it attacks.

What happened to Nauts GRAND SLAM! ability?
And what the hell happened to our items I mean does Naut still have the COMMITMENT?
But most importantly why is Nomi not in the list of people of interest?

AWUEIT used ABSURDIST WAITING TIME.

Goddamn he's been sitting here staring at you guys for like a MONTH. It's a little creepy. Christ.

It doesn't deal any damage but it wastes a SHITLOAD OF TIME.

>SAPPHIRE:
ATTACK

EVADE
OVERRUN

>NAUT:
ATTACK
SLAM
DEFEND

>DIP

BOLSTER
COWER

Additionally, Naut does still have his inventory, but he needs a BBALL to do a GRAND SLAM and he sort of lost that a while back.

Naut doesn't want to talk about what happened to Nomi.

BOLSTER doubles damage output!

OVERRUN is bolstered! Sapphire has the advantage!

The map shows a few different locations They are as follows.

>HOUSE
>APARTMENT COMPLEX(1)
>EXPERIMENTATION LAB(2)
>CAMPGROUND
>CHURCH
>WATCHTOWER
>EMPTY ISLET
>DOORWAY OF TRUTH(3)
>TUNNEL TO NOWHERE(4)
>EXIT, PAINTER SIDE
>EXIT, MAKER SIDE

Short notes are made next to certain places on the map, reading as follows:

(1) The House tends to orbit the complex, making the house one of the few non-permanent fixtures. If someone could manage to free the house from it's orbit, it could probably be used to travel.

(2) Experimentation lab suffered a breakout recently. Be on the lookout for AquaNautos, Alias NAUT. They are to be captured alive.

(3) Prisoners that are sent to the door of truth are to have the world set against them, not for them. We recently had one person figure out their truth, breaking our clean record. Up security.

(4) The Tunnel to Nowhere is NOT to be entered by any personnel! Strictly off limits! Reminder, there is a PAINTER in there, trying to get into the tower!

It is, as one would expect, empty. Looks like there's some business going on around here, but to be completely honest there looks like some magic dealies going on here.

Maybe we should come back when we know what any of this DOES?

Where we goin' now?

On the inside, the CHURCH looks more like a massive, elegant cathedral, seeming much larger on the inside than it does on the outside. Additionally, the place seems to give off some sort of unearthly vibe, as though the place is bustling with people, even though no one is here, and hasn't been for ages.

A very tall being looks over a book on the pedestal, much taller than any being has any right to be. They seem encompassed by whatever it is that they're focused on, and don't notice Sapphire.

Muttering a prayer under her breath, Sapphire takes out the seeing stone. This simple act of retrieving the seeing stone seems to attract the being's attention, causing it to stand up straight, and pick up the book in one of it's hands.

>Curator: "I'm afraid that artifact won't work in here, Madam. The church is tied intrinsically to the plane of life, and as a result, trying to view into other planes in here will only end in failure. Besides, there's nothing else to see here, other than your large friend, I suppose. You are aware they're making bunny ears with their fingers? I doubt you need two pairs of rabbit ears. What brings you here, to this Maker Forsaken place?"

Staring at the person is... difficult, in a sense, in the same way looking at a particularly taxing visual illusion is. They seem to fluctuate slightly, like smoke or a cloud, even though they're standing selectively in one place. They have a sophisticated air to them, though at the same time they seem to give off a vibe of intense strength, far greater than anything Sapphire has encountered before. Naut, on the other hand has encountered this level of strength once before, and lost... The figure seems polite enough, however.

Does he have administrator access? Or is his Sight powerful enough to get past the psychic limitations of this place.

You should retreat. He could be lying and Naut + Dip might be in danger. Still, negotiate terms. You have a crafting station and intel, and it looks like he has a targeting augmentation. Ask if he can replace your missing Worldview with something useful.

> Curator: "Amusing! 'admin privileges'. I have nothing of the sort, and although yes, I was created with the sole purpose of observing and keeping beings within limbo, I am by no means a cruel man. If you're curious as to why I can see your friend, it's simply because unlike you, I understand the intrinsic nature of the planes and how they interlock, allowing me sight beyond sight. Vision that pierces the veil, if you will. If you wish to locate Shaki, she's most likely located within the laboratory. That is where I would go if I were a doctor, after all. Information I have no need of, and the crafting station is a crude mimicry of the things I am able to do. And we are indeed within a church! This place played host to a foul creature from beyond the White Void, for a short time. Since then it has been tainted, but I still respect it's presence."

Sapphire bows low, out of respect for this being. She hadn't said a word, and yet it summed up everything the voices had asked. Almost as though it could hear them as well.

>Curator: "Ah, yes, the others... Originally we were meant to be a singular being, but we were split into five to assist with the process of ensuring the place was held down. I myself ended up being mostly ambivalent, somewhat orderly, so on.

>WARDEN, the red one, ended up being both very angry and very passionate. Constantly enraged with no easy outlet, they resorted to more and more cruel acts in order to justify their anger, in a sense allowing them to turn their rage inwards, towards themselves. They enjoy keeping a calm demeanor, but underneath they are roiling with rage and duty for their job.

>warden, on the otherhand was filled with both empathy and sadness. Understanding the feelings of others, intrinsically, they were filled with loathing for themselves, dropping into a steep depression. This was quite unfortunate for them.

>JAILER, the Yellow one, was filled with energy and fear. They got very good at hiding their fear, instead allowing a very random personality to emerge forward, in an attempt to disorient the beings they viewed as dangerous. No one takes them seriously, and thus no one attempts to fight them, and they prefer it this way.

>jailer, the green one, was filled with a mixture of happiness and sluggishness. They're the most amicable of the group, but also the most lazy. Very lazy. They'd probably be willing to let you out the easiest if you could convince them...
