Flash knockers at hypnotized guards. Then grab the magpie and book it.

This, but instead of knockers just show some leg. Gotta stay classy, you know. And our skirt's ruined anyway, so gotta make the best out of it.

>>Aside from it being gold, anything that makes it valuable? Ever open it and look inside?

Outside of affective there's absolutely nothing of value in the pendant. It's not real gold, you had an expert analyze it, and you were never able to open it either. Not even a blacksmith could break its seal. So, yeah, aside from being unbreakable, "unopenable" and completely useless there's no practical reason to keep it... Nor sell it.

>>Consider busting out sick parkour moves. Ruminate on how bullshit this whole mess is.

You were never exactly athletic back at the orphanage, in fact you are pretty average at mostly everything and you would be even more so if you consider the fact you're wearing one boot. So sick parkour moves are not something you can afford to bust out. Not now, not ever... Presumably.

However, considering how shitty your situation is, that's something you're very capable of. You're practically keeping that pendant only as a memento and, as stated before, there's nothing valuable about it.

Hell, you're not even sure you want to actually remember you ever had a mother. After all you never saw her because she outright abandoned you. So why even care?

It's mostly because of the principle you guess... What this Lady Tania did was so blatantly evil it's simply unfair to let her have what she wants.

You might as well just let her win and keep on living. But as that thought take shape in your head words from a distant past echoes through your mind.

An old, bulky lady warmly smiles at a young child telling her to stop being such a cry-baby and pull her act back-together...

In retrospect, those where the last words you wanted to hear in that moment. However, while being hurtful at that specific time, they proved to be the right ones on the long run. With time, because of them, you learned that crying leads nowhere and the only way to get something is to fight for it. Through hard work you can do anything!

Even learning how to discretely jump a rope.

>>The guards seem dumber under the compulsion. Goad them into taking a swing at you, and dodge so they punch the tree.

Screw everything!

You slip between the guards successfully, avoiding both their hits. The tree will keep them busy enough time to let you dash back towards the village.

But, as you do so, you see other guards approaching. Just how much is this silly pendant important to them? Don't they have other things to do like save people and administrate the law? You know, actual important stuff?!

Whatever... What do?

Keep in mind that you have a boot-less foot and you're pretty tired from the whole running and climbing combo from moments ago.

Wonderful suggestions guys, I'm sorry I won't be able to use them because I started drawing an answer to the first things as soon as they were posted. I wish I didn't, but I wanted to give you a second answer as fast as possible to say sorry for the long wait.

Keep on being so clever, I would have definitely used these.

You take a sharp turn towards the forest that surrounds the village, it's the only logical thing to do considering you can't go back home at this point...

Changing direction turned out to be the good idea, you manage to keep a good distance between the guards behind you, the first pair still seems to be struggling to get their humongous fists out the knothole on the tree.

But you're not sure how long this will last. Your heart is racing, your breath is cutting short and every muscle in your body is begging you to stop-

While recovering you look around and discover that the room you fell into is rather small and leads to 3 doors. As you wonder what's behind them you start realizing that whoever built this place probably didn't want it to be found. Of course this thought alone makes this little refuge feel a little less secure...

So this was supposed to be the third OOC post but it's going to be the 4th because I made another one before without a picture to compliment a few clever suggestions. Woo me.

So... That's one thin ankle, it's probably going to break if you apply too much pressure on it. Sorry the darn thing has been bothering me since yesterday and I just HAD to let it out somehow XD

So because I'm working on quite a thick background while also working on commissions AND homeworks, I'm afraid there won't be another update on the quest today. However I decided to make this little post to have your opinion on something. Check the quest discussion thread to know what it is and also see how that ankle was supposed to be made:
