Ugh. You're in the middle of some kind of desert.
Your throat would be parched, if you still had a throat.
Or any unnecessary body part, for that matter.
You see the zombie beasts staying afar back. Good, they should be afraid of you, considering you can easily take control of them.
Welcome to NECROPOLIS-PLANET OF THE DEAD

You try to command your familiars, but it would seem they too are restrained...

You wake up in a biological cavern. A grunt that was sitting there, seemingly watching you, goes out of the room. A few minutes later, a Spawn wanders in. From it's voice, you can tell it's the same one from earlier. "Hello I am--" from there it makes a series of clicking sounds. "But you may call me Tiberius." it finishes. You try to stand up, but you quickly fall. Tiberius chides you. "You are still weak. I would not recommend you exert yourself." He offers you his hand...er...claw thing and you take it. "I assume you want to see your familiars? Or would you like a tour of the hive?"

You ask for the tour of the hive. Although it seems completely random to you, Tiberius seems to know the tunnels like the back of his hand. "This has been a spawning ground for centuries," he says as you walk. "Fueling the war front against the Legions of Rukt. Damn robots are near starving us to death with their terraforming, making even the ground itself inedible." You remember from school that the Endless Swarm consider anything inedible an insult to their honor, whatever that means. Finally, you end up in a large chamber clustered with Grunt eggs, as well as some Spawn eggs and even the ever larger Overlord eggs. In the middle of the room is a Neuro Queen, pumping out eggs while floating. Tiberius immediately kneels, and you follow his example. He speaks, with his head still bowed. "Mother, I have brought the visitor to you." The Neuro Queen turns towards you and attempts to thrust through your mind barriers, but you stop her out of reflexes. This seems to put her, and the entire hive, at odds. They all stare at you.

You continue on your way. You finally come to a city crowned by a giant pyramid. It would seem you have come to one of the Sacra's Chosen gate cities. Everywhere you go, there are slaves or mummies walking around. You remember from the schoolmaster that after the sun got too close to their planet, the Sacranians had to preserve their bodies in a hibernation. 100 years later, when the sun moved away again, they found that they were too weak and brittle to do anything substantial and now must rely on slaves for everything.

"There was, in fact, a abusive slave owner. You're carrying him." The Infinity Knight nods and barks some orders to his colleagues in some foreign language. "He will be apprehended and punished for his actions. Thank you citizen." With that, the Infinity Knight leaves. The slave looks up at you. She is a tall, broad, dark skinned clone. On closer inspection, it appears she is a cyborg: her eyes have been replaced. The other slaves look at you expectingly. That's when you remember the Sacra's children golden rule: you keep what you can beat. These slaves now belong to you. What will you with them?

You look down on the slaves. "Come with me." you say. Now, you'll need a place to stay for the night, before the gates close. You could stay in a hostel, but Tiberius and the Endless Swarm will need a dark place in order to cocoon, like a cave. But the slaves will most likely feel scared or cold in any place suited for the Spawn. There are 3 places in the city you could go.

Not only can you not find any place to stay, but with one look at the company you're keeping, all the hostels lock and slam the door in your face. With no other choice, you are forced to go to the old mines, where iron used to be extracted until the vein ran out. You go deep enough inside the cave to avoid the incoming storm, but not so deep that those without unnatural vision can't see. After a while, the slaves stop shivering and go to sleep. You still hear the sounds of breathing down towards the cave, so you go investigate.

Maybe you should have gotten them basic camping gear, if you desire for them to stay slaves, and not 'upgrade' to fresh necromatic components.

That or I wonder if there are "stables" and/or pet sitters where you can drop slaves off when you have to be someplace uncharitable to life.

Further down the cave, you find one of the slaves, the cybernetic one, working with a gun. It is oily and greasy, but seems to work perfectly. A closer look reveals that the gun is plugged into her via a port in her neck. When you accidentally knock over a stone, she spins around and points the gun at you, before realizing who it is, and quickly dropping the gun. "I am sorry, master. Please forgive me." she seems somewhat...scared. What will you say?

Only we survived, and one of the raiders stabbed me through the eye. We came here, it was the closest town. My father had to sell me into slavery in order to get cybernetics I needed. You finally reach the Boar's Head guild house, which happens to double as a tavern and an inn. A rough and tumble old pirate greets you. "Welcome to the Boar's Head Tavern, what can I get you?" You say, "We're here to join the guild." The pirate rubs his stubble. "We don't let people in that easily. Tell you want. If you can do one of those jobs on the board over there, we'll let you join." There are 3 jobs on the board that seem easy enough.

>Escort
-Escort an alchemist to Gravedigger Junction safely
-Reward: 300 Souls
-Class: C, might encounter Sons of Chaos

>Target Capture

-Subject is very violent, but cunning, so engage cautiously
-Reward: 900 Souls
-Class: A-, Blood Drawls have exhibited self-endangering abilities and can become "Blood Bombs"

-NOTE: The subject is female and has been observed to enjoy drinking constests. This might be a way to beat her!

That's a tough one. My first thought is air, which meets the first two requirements. And things dropping from the air make sounds, but you can hear the wind.

We're switching from lows good to highs good? Well okay. (Watch me roll a 1 now).

Unfortunately, since you're at your destination, there's no where to run too.

(Just so you know...Tiberius and Augustus can always try to use Necrontrol again. Stat tests work the same, roll under. The two can also attempt to combine forces, doing one test with a +20 modifier)

A Sons of Chaos Slaughterborn engages the two Wendigos before continuing on his berserk rampage, dealing 2d10 damage to each of them.

Okay, let's try to control one and set it on the other!

(Test Failed)
The combined efforts of the two necromancers still aren't enough to take hold of the Wendigo's mind.

Augustus and Remina can still make actions. The Battle Hymns for Remina have been explained on the stat sheet.

Wait, I thought rolling high was good now. Or what was it we even had to roll under?

>what do
Remina: Valyrie's Ride
Augustus: Mount one of these things.

(In reality, it was just to avoid having to change the stats of the characters. So characteristic test is still roll under, but combat is roll over your opponent's total.)

Augustus can't mount that! He has Mounted (Butcher), not Mounted(Undead)!
