Swap slots to state 1. Save State. Cross bridge.
The Warrior bravely Plunges into the moat.
The Warrior fails to befriend the giant squid.
Savescum, equip fancy hat, retry friendship roll.
Load State 0, run across the moat screaming
[State 0 Loaded] The Warrior runs across the bridge while letting out a fearsome battle cry. A tentacle grabs the Warrior around the ankle. He feels like he should have seen that one coming.

The Warrior slices off the tentacle that's grabbing his ankle! The other tentacles close in on him.
Wait, genre check: Try to rape those tentacles. If that doesn't seem like it would work you could always try chopping them off until the tentacle monster below gets the hint that it's a bad idea to attack you with its easily chopped tentacles.
The Warrior suddenly freezes as the tentacles begin to wrap around his body. He wonders if these are the kind of tentacles from his Japanese animes. The Warrior quivers nervously.
The Warrios realizes too late that they are NOT that kind of tentacle, this is NOT his fetish. The Warrior is slowly strangled to death

Just run in and ignore the stupid squid.
Ignore the front door. Search around the tower for other possible entrances.

The Warrior circles around to the back of the tower looking for other entrances. He finds a cleaning company truck parked outside of the service entrance. The door is guarded by two skeletons.
Grab some cleaning supplies and bluff your way in. Skeletons are notoriously stupid.
Save State 1
Get in the truck, turn it on, and then run over the skeletons.
[State 1 Saved] The Warrior climbs into the truck and finds the keys were left in the ignition. He floors it and slams the truck into the skeletons.
The truck hits the wall and the Warrior is launched through the windshield. He hears the alarm bell ringing and the sound of footstep running toward him.
Load state one. Repeat action, this time wearing your seatbelt.
Load State 0, go to the back, get in the truck, fasten your seatbelt, drive the truck across the moat.
Reload state 1 get into truck run over skeletons by driving along the wall instead of into it.
[State 1 Loaded] The warrior climbs in the truck, buckles up, and runs over the skeletal guards.
The warrior enter the rear entrance of the tower. There are three doors.
Save state 2, go up!
