>"so what's your story?"
"Oh dear, have you perchance also lost your memories too? That must be quite bothersome, but I'm sure we can overcome this obstacle, just like we did with me."
"Remember before? We were both alone until we found each other in here. Well, "here" is... somewhere I guess. We never really figured out what this place was before you just vanished one day. But now you're back, and we're together again."
>"So where are you? Is just going somewhere else, somewhere quieter, an option?"
"The sounds are everywhere. We never found the source of them before."

"I'd rather not, especially now that you're back."

First of all, are there any light switches around? Stumbling amongst whatever ruins are out there doesn't sound like a hit idea in the dark.

Well let's RESUME KNOWLEDGEQUEST then! What do we know and what do we wonder? And where'd you get that outfit, that is clearly the most important thing.

>"Oh is that so? Well BAD NEWS: We're not the exact same voices you had earlier, because I don't know you."
"Oh my, your amnesia is quite severe, isn't it? That's quite a bother, but I'm sure we can figure something out as long as we stick together."

>"First of all, are there any light switches around? Stumbling amongst whatever ruins are out there doesn't sound like a hit idea in the dark."
>"It's too dark in here do you have a light?"
"I haven't been able to find any light switches anywhere we explored, but all the lights seem to mysteriously switch on and off occasionally. It spooked us the first time it happened, I remember that. Though I did scavenge a few flashlights for when it's dark, like it is right now."

>"We should go explore again. What supplies do you have on you, or stored away in these cabinets?"
>"Well since this is your home more or less and we can't remember much mind showing us around?"
"Oh we found all kinds of stuff. There's a nearby storage room filled with non-perishable food and clothes and all kinds of other stuff. I've moved some to my room, but there's still tons left back there. Whoever left us here obviously didn't want us dying of hunger."
"Here's a quick rundown of what we have here:
20 liters of canned water
5 500ml water bottles
10 cans of food
4 full sized rations
3 flashlights with extra batteries
2 10m ropes
enough uniforms to last me for a while (no normal clothes though)
a water filtration unit (seemed kind of useless since the storage still had lots of water left, but who knows?)
a pack of flares (drawing a blank on the purpose of these)
a first aid kit
a small tool belt (contains a screwdriver, a hammer, wire cutters, and a wrench)
and 2 back packs"

>The mechanical sounds flood into the room again through the broken window. It sounds eerily like the groans of a massive piece of metal contorting.
>"So, you don't know where the noise is coming from... do you have a map of all the places it definitely isn't coming from?"
"Luckily we created a map the last time before you vanished. We never found the source of the noise in anywhere we looked, but honestly it's been going on for so long I've just put it off as background sounds by now."
"The "H" marks our room, "X"s indicate where the halls have collapsed or otherwise blocked, and the padlock is a locked door that we couldn't get past."

>"Excuse me, that was music, not poetry. And it might make more sense if I sang more than the first verse... but I'm not gonna I is done."

>"What were we like before?"
"What were you like before? Hmm, honestly you were a lot like you are right now. A lot of questions, seemingly knew exactly what to do in most situations as if you've been through this before. In fact, if you hadn't lost your memories I'd say that you'd never disappeared at all since you're still exactly the same."
>"So you don't know what or where this place is, or how you got here?"
>"Do you remember anything before this place?"
"No, I'm sorry. My own memory is still quite patchy past this place. If I try to exert myself I can make out some details about scientists or something, I think Wilson may be connected somehow to this too."
>"How long have you been stuck here anyways?"
"I don't know. Nothing that happens here seems to be very regular, so it's been hard judging how much time has passed. Though if I had to guess, I'd say I've been here for a month now. Maybe two, I don't know. When you disappeared, time seemed to slow down. I don't know if I was alone for just a week or a whole month, it was quite miserable. But now you're back and you'll never leave me again, right?"
>"Can we get your name? Memories lost and everything."
"My name is Isla, like "island" without the last part."
>"where'd you get that outfit, that is clearly the most important thing."
"There appeared to be a little laundry room next to storage that had a bunch of uniforms. I found a set that fits me perfectly, and they're actually quite nice. They don't restrict movement at all, and it seems to be slightly layered to regulate my body temperature and whatnot. Though I guess it really doesn't leave much to the imagination, all things considered... unless you were really asking if I was wearing anything underneath this? Ehe, that's a secret~."

"Roger that! Unfortunately I'm not the strongest girl in the world, so we always used to bring a bag with just a few water bottles, the first aid kit, one of the ropes, and a flash light. But maybe you want to bring some other stuff along with us this time around?"

We don't have a sense of your fighting skill so your best bet is to play it safe until we can find an enemy that is relatively easy to defeat and can gauge your combat abilities. Crouch down and open the door slowly; if you get spotted by anything, you'll have to either run or barricade your room.

> It's a secret if I'm wearing anything under the uniform
So... You're not then? (Because, if you were, why would it be a secret?)

Anyway, yup, might as well check out yon ? door past storage. Why didn't we do that before anyway? I mean unless the scale here is a lot different than it looks, that's pretty close by yeah?
>>
No. 673405 ID: 9ddf68

well with nothing better to do might as well check out those two other rooms and storage before we do anything else just to familiarize ourselves with the place and see if we can't spot something we may have missed last time.
>>

>enough uniforms to last me for a while (no normal clothes though)
Well if you really wanted normal clothes, you could cut up uniforms (especially any that don't fit) to get cloth to make some yourself. There's probably scissors in the first aid kit and maybe needles and thread for stitches (although you'd only want to waste medical supplies on fashion if you have spares). Kind of time consuming, though.

>you'll never leave me again, right?
Not if we can help it.

>You won't mind if I keep a secret do you?
What's life without a little mystery?

Besides, our clothes are secret too, since we're invisible.

>>673332
The 'standard kit' pre-amnesia us recommend seems to cover the essentials. You might want the toolbelt too.

I think our first priority is to investigate the blocked and locked areas again. Maybe we can figure out a way past we didn't before (which might require tools). Your options are fairly limited unless we bypass those obstacles.

How did we know there are stairs there if they're behind a collapse and around a corner. Did the collapse happen after you saw the stairs and doubled back?

Bring the tool belt and flares. Let's see if we can crack that lock.
