Will it be for Jenny greensleave's?

The leader of the gang, jenny is the darling of many a upper class gathering, and just as many upper class bedrooms. However her activities have attracted rather alot of scandal..

Perhaps "Slithering" John Battersby

One too many dalliances with the Rubbery men has left its mark on john, however since he wasnt that much of a looker to begin with he feels rather upbeat about it all.
Plus the secrets they send his way are more then enough compensation..

Or maybe the final member, Shivering Rachael, will be the lucky one?

Rachael has been around long enough to acquire skills in all things, but also to be brittle and vulnerable, she is the smart one of the gang, often leading them down forgotten path's to safety when things go awry.

The little gathering is certainly popular tonight, during a break i nthe game not one but three visitors arrive.

First John receives a visit from a large (probably) gentleman wrapped tightly in a overcoat, they take one of the decrepit booths in the back and talk for sometime. Least i think that's talking.. they shuffle about a bit and information is exchanged so..yeah talking.. According to the "Gentleman" a ship has pulled into the wolfstacks dockyard with no crew but a rather large cargo of jade ripe for the taking, provided you can get past the constabulary of course.

Miss Rachael has a rather more distinguished visitor, a gentleman in a expensive, if somewhat ancient, suit. they have a rather animated conversation, which for them means occasional hand gestures, During which the gentleman lets slip that a handful of second city coins recently made its way into the hands of a pawnbroker. the fool docent seem to know what hes got his hands on, and has simply secured them within his safe, ripe for the taking should some one be willing to relive him of them.

Finally miss Jenny entertains one of Mister Wines girls, come in for a drink after a hard day on the streets. She is pleasant enough company, if rather dim and a terrible gossip. As she witters on she reveals that one of the brothels has come down with a rather nasty case of Spiders, and has been sealed of for fumigation. Anyone willing to brave the spiders would have perfect opportunity to relive the building of all its wonderful things.

Once the game has concluded and the gin finished off, the gang discuss the opportunities before them , pondering which direction they should head.

Obviously we need to look at trade offs. What hauls are worth the most, for the least risk?

A large cargo of jade might be valuable, but a large cargo is going to be tricky to move, if the cops are sitting on it. Plus, there's the unknown threat of whatever happened to the crew.

The coins seem relatively less protected, and easier to carry off. Not sure what they're worth, though.

I'm not sure how much treasure there is for the taking in a brothel, even a high class one. And it seems in poor taste to rip them off, really. Although, if we have anyone in the party who doesn't need to breath (Jenny, Micheal?) it would be pretty easy to sneak in and out while the fumigation was in process, instead of having to fight our way past monster spiders.

Alright, so the jade is cursed. This much is painfully evident. As the (mostly) seasoned veterans of weird shit this crew seems to be and should well know, ghost ships are not especially fun to try and take loot from, not to mention whatever we might take along with the jade. It could simply be a case of normal weird shit, but let's plan for the worst.
The gold looks simple enough. A relatively mundane heist, but it seems like the sort of thing that'll attract more attention from fellow street-savvy scoundrels than the jade. It's too simple. I don't trust it.
And then there's the brothel. I do feel a little dirty considering robbing a nunnery, as even among the lowest street trash, there must be a measure of sympathy for the ladies of the night. Still, as professionals, a job's a job. The dangers seem pretty clear cut there as well, and unless it isn't actually spiders they're gassing, nothing overtly occult to deal with, unlike the other jobs.

[[[i meant First city coins sorry =3= ]]]

You all carefully pour over the risk's of each of the jobs, best to consider the worst case scenarios before charging in.

It is of course common for ships to be found missing there crew, there are many hazards on the Unterzee, from flocks of hungry bats, sadistic Lifebergs, Giant crabs, strange tentakles that snake from the depths and whispered legend's of vast things called Lorne-flukes. However this is the first case of a ship returning by itself, crew missing and cargo untouched..

The ease of the brothel job depends on what sort of spider your dealing with, are they normal spiders that avaradge the size of a fist? Eye collection Sorrow spiders that can grow to the size of a small horse? Or is this the first appearance of the whispered Spider council, a creature described only by the damage it has done to buildings and people..

Finally you have the Coins, one of the few remaining things of the first city, the other's being its name "the Crossroads Shaded By Cedars" and the saying "even the First City was young when Babylon fell" which is frustratingly cryptic for such a popular phrase. The coins them selves are nearly valueless, being small disk's of silver with the image of a cedar tree, however the Masters of the bazaar seem to place great importance on them, some claim they use them to buy secrets from hell, others claim they are used as stakes in a poker game where the winner gains there hearts desire.

What ever the truth, if you can get to the coins before anyone else and steal them away without leaving a clue to your identity, you'll be free to sell them on with no questions asked, however if the masters have already sent there needy men to recover them you'll run the risk of angering them, not a wise thing at all..

Well, in the case of the brothel job: I wouldn't expect the worst case of legendary whispered super-spiders. So with two party members that aren't envenonable, it doesn't sound that risky. Although, ripping off prostitutes still isn't my favorite target.

The ship really sets off all my genre alarms. Abandoned ship sails right into town? Nope. Don't want to touch that. The loot is cursed, or worse. Not worth it. Someone else's problem.

The coins job doesn't seem to bad. The actual pawn shop should be easy to hit. The only complication is how far word has spread, and if we'd need to back off and let the Masters' agents claim the coins to avoid their wrath. What can Rachel infer from her source? How well connected is he, how long would it have taken the info to reach him, or would have told others?

If there's a good chance the Masters haven't been informed yet, let's go for the coins.
