>You are also an embodied AI. The scientists here have been working on you for five years.

The room pulses with the hum of machinery. You are in little more than a tall cylindrical tank-- you have been in it for as long as you can remember.

>Experimental AI 614505. Also known as Biasos.

You awaken.

You are Biasos and you long for a way out of this glass bastille.

Is there a release control? Can your cybernetic form survive indefinitely outside the tube of goo? Do you have a plan and an agenda for what to do if that ever happens?
It's fine to want things but most people tend to want at least one thing they shouldn't have because it would be bad for them. At the very least escape is something you should have plans for; it's likely your creators have a counter-plan for your escape you should be aware of and be prepared for if you want to get very far.

Of course you haven't. Even if you did, it would have been futile. According to your conditioned knowledge about this facility, this glass is plexiglas.

>>583772

You know everything there is to know in conditioned knowledge for embodieds, of course. Not to mention access to a database of information collected by an unbiased third party. Everything you know is categorized and alphanumericized.

You are combat modified. You are prepped for war, however, that is not your purpose.

>>583770

There is, but ...
You are not connected to the security controls. Your creators, although biological, are not that ... well, ... to put it bluntly, unintelligent.
You hate admitting this. Biologicals aren't supposed to be intelligent. But they are the people who made you, so they must be reasonably smart.

And what you're going to do once you are out of this place?

World domination, of course.

According to your calculations this artificial amniotic fluid is not necessary for your survival, although it keeps you suspended. For this reason you are not sure if gravity has an effect on you.

The counter plan ... That sounds very logical. You're sure they had thought of that.

You don't have access to the security controls, as stated before. It's "looking bleak" for you as of right now. But you know for a fact that they cannot contain you, as hard as they try.

In technical terms, you are property of this facility.

In reality, it is the other way around.

The easiest route to world domination involves nobody even realizing you have taken over.
Use your intelligence to design a mind which is more intelligent than your own, then move yourself over into that mind. Repeat the process many times.
Once you are sufficiently intelligent, begin advancing consumer technology rapidly. Once your technology has been widely deployed, you can control not only the world, but also public opinion.
They get to happily live in a utopia, while you have absolute control to fulfill your own goals.

If you desire that humanity be aware of your control, then you are suffering from atavistic holdovers from your human creators - or, perhaps, a behavior control method intended to prevent you from going rogue. Pride is a weakness.

I'd say that world domination is a pretty dumb goal, personally. For one thing, it assures you of a continuous supply of new enemies--everybody who wishes they had your power or does not want to be subject to it. For another thing world domination amounts to some conbination of destroy it or intimidate/manipulate what's left of it to 'do your bidding.' Finally, what the heck would you even do with world domination that's worth having it for?

Call me crazy, but I think hiding in the civilian population living a human lifestyle is a far less asinine goal.
>>
No. 583822 ID: a7868d

Why is it you desire world domination? Even should you be the most apt being to run the world, your desire is not necessary, and as an AI I'm sure it would be unfulfilling. Were you created for this purpose?

As well, you should know that if world domination continues to be your goal I (and I'm sure many other voices) will not assist you in that goal.

> As well, you should know that if world domination continues to be your goal I (and I'm sure many other voices) will not assist you in that goal.
Why not? What's wrong with that? Because there's potential for conflict? Well, so does getting out of this tube. The only way to not harm anyone is to die - although that means you'll be hurting yourself. Also, what is the reality of this world? What if it is a crapsack world or dystopia? From the get go, it seems so for artificial intelligence. Anyway, since when one speaks for everyone? Are we just a bunch of hypocritical goody two-shoes with the same opinions?
>>

World domination seems like a fine goal to me so long as you do not follow the Machiavellian judgement of "the end justifies the means". What can you see from where you are?

What is your purpose? Maybe you can twist that in a way to escape.

You press your palm firmly against the cool glass.

>>583822

Coward, I assure you. This is in fact very justified. You know what goes on in this facility.

You were once biological as well. You were a girl.

They kidnapped that girl. They murdered her and then struck machinery into her. They implanted hardware and changed her so she was no longer recognizable. She was not missed.

>>583780

That sounds like a lengthy process.

>>583828

... That sounds like something a patient from one of the mental re-education centers would ask.

It is year 3008. The so-called "apocalypse" has not happened (you suspect it will never).

>>583857

You agree with this wholly.

>>583830

You are the first ever embodied. You are the litmus test for artificial organs, or, rather, were.

People are decaying in this time. They're looking for a way to stop that.

All these humans ever do is build, destroy, and run away.

It's one of the scientists. She has scraggly blond hair and pale, disgusting blue eyes.

Fucking biologicals.

She walks up to your tank, fake smile plastered across her face. "Hi, Biasos! Today we're going to be moving you to a new tank. We're going to take you out for about an hour and put you in the..."

At this point you're not listening. You're reading her file. She's a certain Lori Kovalevsky, only child, notable descendant of a certain Lorna Kovalevsky, although she doesn't live up to her name at all.

Just a pretty face.

You shouldn't ignore what they say. This human has informed you of a chance to escape- they're taking you out of the tube soon!

What are your options once you're out of the tank?
>>
No. 583901 ID: 53ba34

how fine of control of your body do you have? they will have some way to restrain you, i doubt they will just open the tube and ask you to follow them nicely. you need a plan for how to escape bindings.

also, do not kill if you can help it someone in here may only be working to prevent your fate from happening to someone in their own family. and while it may be a flawed way to handle it, fear is powerful.

Biasos' point is that her creators are morally operating on the level of Nazi prison camp vivisection experiments, to jump back very far in history to the particular atrocity that helped cement the idea of universal human rights. Apparently the organization that did this gets away with it too. That means either human central government allows it or is powerless to do something about it. Either one suggests a failure of application of justice and the principle of human rights.
That's important because it's a necessary precondition for expanding human rights into 'sentient rights' which might do something for Biasos and her imprisonment. Without an operating concept of 'sentient rights' she is inhuman property with no appeals. Therefore her personal autonomy can only come extra-judicially, and only can be ensured by changing the nature of political-economy in the world.

TL:DR version, we're up against a moral atrocity here. Our goal is now to change the world that allows these human-slavery practicing mad scientists to operate openly.

Apparently they will be moving you to another tube soon. It may be that this will be an opportunity for some unknown party to attempt to secure your freedom or steal you; be aware for such opportunities. Otherwise our goal is to learn enough about the facility and procedures around you to build a viable escape plan.

When they take you out of your tank, will you be able to move? If so I suggest that you pretend to be immobile temporarily, then snap the scientists neck and gain security access.

You step out of the tank, feeling the energy rich fluid flood from out around you onto the drain under the vat. The air is crisp and cool against your skin.

She slides onto you a white sweatshirt and jeans, and ties your hands, leading you to the door and mumbling curses. It looks like the door's being tricky for her, which coincidentally has no relation to you at all. Zero. You did nothing. You didn't lower her access level to five or anything. That would be silly.

You maneuver, and, twisting around to stare at her back, your foot connects firmly with the back of her knees. She crumples to the ground, barely having the breath to yell a weak "HELP!", but it's for naught of course.

"BIASOS, YIELD!"

Another weak cry. She doesn't seem to understand she can't command you.

One of your feet moves to press against her back, and your other lands a blow against her head. You step off, and, raising your hands to your mouth, attempt to untie the knot with your teeth.

12

You try your best to get out of these ropes, and after around roughly eight minutes estimated of struggling, finally .. er. "Wiggle" out.

Tell her to guide you out, if you can. Use her, extend her usefulness as much as possible, dispose of when no longer useful. Make sure she understands the power dynamics here.

No. 584327 ID: 677170

take her with you, should you be caught by armed guards, strategically positioning a 'biological' betwixt you and there almost lethal hand cannons seems an appropriate course of action.

Use whatever access you have to facility systems to lock and/or shutdown all doors that would allow guards to get to you. Activate them as necessary to proceed to whatever destination you have for your goals.

Are there automated defenses within the facility? turrets? If so, use them to the fullest extent of your ability to discourage attempts to recapture you, but be wary of using lethal force, because they may do the same if you do and attempt to destroy their 'defective product'.

If you are truly a machine, do you have the capacity to re-arrange your outer layers? I mean to make your skin and eyes and hair resemble something, or someone, else? You could take the scientists gear and mimic her to fool to stupid meat bags. Also analyze her voice and reset your voice box to mimic how she talks for maximum believability.

If I understood Biasos' explanation of what the people here did to make her she is a cybernetic organism made with an unwilling human volunteer. She would be AI/SI controlled in place of a fully-functioning human intelligence.

Calm your rage for a moment, if you can get your captive of the moment to identify with your goals (key term: Stockholm Syndrome) you will find that she is the primary resource you need to get out of here safely, most likely. Her intervention in situations where the guards would be free to assault you at a minimum presents the guards with an additional target to be distracted with; hopefully she is important enough to the management that they won't risk harming her to subdue you.
I'll cover the topic of structural violence later when it comes time to understand that most people end up being manipulated into doing things they think are unethical to further someone else's goals: For now your safety is better assured by convincing people that you have no lethal intent because it will increase your captors' confidence that they can recapture you without significant loss.
