Go search your house. You will need a noble steed, a lance, a bucket and a squire to follow you around.

Well I have a hookshot. Maybe I could use that instead of rope. Found a bucket. I don't have noble stead or a squire. Only the best knights can afford those. I could get a friend to help though.

Huh. It appears he has malfunctioned again.

I call up the advice A.I. for help. (that's you guys)

"what should I do."

Harvest his parts while he is out.

What do you usually do when someone malfunctions?
Press his power button?
Connect your 'cable' to his 'battery' and give him a jump start?

Are you a boy or a girl?

...or rather the robot/human variant of this question...
>>
No. 582257 ID: 483d7f

It's obvious that this dude needs a lot of help if he can't even keep himself upright, I think you need to recruit more help if you're gonna stand a decent chance of actually getting the broken bot to the programmer.
>>
No. 582334 ID: 321d85

Hmm. You don't know any magical programming jiggery-pokery, do you? You could try propping him up and giving him a few good thwacks; maybe joggle something back into place.
Broken robot? Kick it or something. That might work. http://www.topatoco.com/graphics/00000001/dc-awareness-prints.jpg - center image. Dresden Codak.

Also, welcome to tgchan! As standard advice for all newcomers, I'd advise you to read lots of quests, to learn the nuances of etiquette. Also, because they're awesome. No need to put your quest on hold or anything, though, and you seem to be doing fine. There's a FAQ that's useful for some technical stuff, particularly the second item: http://tgchan.org/kusaba/news.php?p=faq

I smiled when I saw the dresdan codak link. too bad that comic is so so so so slow to update.

I'm reading through cheequest now. So far I have read about 7 quests. Thanks for a link to FAQ.

I'm thinking about how I could make ark semi-functional without fixing him completely. Probably a reset button of some sort. I'll update as soon as I figure it out.

I'm 22yearold human male. I'm wearing goggles and such. Because I don't really like the way my face looks.
Robots can't be be boys or girls because they don't have reproductive systems ,they are produced in factories ,but they can have male/female features, Ark in particular has a voice that is like that of young boy's voice. I'm not sure if he thinks like a boy though. Because his mind built on logical rules and not the emotional will humans have. He's six months old and probably can't even understand the difference between men and women.

>>582248
>>582334
Eh... I'd rather not tamper with him without knowing how he works.

>>582257
I think so too let's take him to the local robot repair place.

>>

Well, we just met you. Mostly it's that we like helping in general, but if we like the person we're helping that's a big bonus.

How'd you meet Ark?
>>
No. 582464 ID: 483d7f

Also, sometimes we get really bored and making suggestions to people who don't know what to do and really want our advice can result in... hilarious or otherwise entertaining results. We habitually make a point of leaving people we deal with better off, with occasional exceptions mostly for people whose goals are self-destructive (we can't do much about people wanting the wrong things) and less often for terrible shitheads who are so awful that taking them down is a serious improvement in the common welfare. Even in the case of the terrible shitheads we usually try to avoid leading them off of metaphorical (or actual) cliffs, unless they're beyond hope.
The most likely failure-modes for our advisory talents are excessive interest in your sex-life, failures of common sense, failure to understand the details of your situation, and advising you towards goals that you do not want to pursue. As long as you set clear personal boundaries when our more prurient impulses manifest, you pay enough attention to what we're saying to double check it for gross failures of common sense, you make sure we do know and understand what's going on and what's feasible, and you have clear goals we understand our advice is pretty much guaranteed to be helpful at least, or even outright awesome.

I met ark when his creator told me to watch over him. His creator was a strange individual always whispering to himself. He was the designer for many of machines we use today. He disappeared after he left the prototype ark in my care.

Eh the art needs to uhh...

Fit within the quest art style so black and white no arms basic faces or masks that lack mouths or noses and while humans are allowed I prefer non-human designs robots living objects etc I could make an exception

I'm going to redesign the scientist till I find a working design.

I'm sorry. I won't be able to work on the quest for a while I have a few more days before I'm evicted from my apartment. My main computers hard drive has also crashed so I have lost a number of important files.

Feel free to keep posting designs but I don't know when I will be able to work on the quest again.

Hmm. Do you need some help recovering files from said hard drive? Hard drives are often not as broken as they seem.
