If it had been possible to build the Tower of Babel without climbing it, it would have been permitted...

Perhaps as a means of locomotion while we hunt down food for her to cook.

Alright let's go see if a wild animal decided to take shelter in the tower. Ask her what she knows about the layout, then let's head for the Entrance Hall.
>>
No. 570136 ID: 99624f

Well lets ask her what she knows about the tower and the surrounding area. See if she can or wants to leave the kitchen and tag along while you survey things.

Cool great so... how do we get more stores?
Is there a GUI for this?
When do we start being a landlord and start making fat stacks of cash simply by being the owner of this place? Which places can we invest in right now?

I know a fucking business empire minigame when I see it on the horizen. Fable, Assassin's Creed, Dungeon Keeper, etc.

how good are you at sneakin? get the drop on a deer. and have her cook it up quick.

Dear. No magic food summoning powers.

I don't suppose she knows anything about good places to stock up on food stores in the vicinity? A good Chef usually takes an interest in where her ingredients come from, or have a say in that.

Does she have peers? Other spirits employed by the tower? Actually, how does that work? Not that you don't appreciate service, but what's in this for her?
>>
No. 570144 ID: d2995c

So can we send her on a shopping or hunting trip while we keep exploring?
>>
No. 570146 ID: ca0da5

Alright, she has in no way offended you... In fact, despite your posession of only partial claims to the tower, she still treats you as a master. "As long as you don't get in my way, you can come along, or even wander about. But if you do get in my way, I'll show you just what it means to cross a Gnoll."
>>570140
"For that matter, where can I get food at? I'd quite enjoy a good hunt." Feel free to say it in your own words, of course.
By the way, if you see a cute little Kobold, don't you dare kill him. Adopt him and make him your pet. Cutebolds make the best pets. ...A Lamia or a Dwarf on the other hand, go ahead and drive them out. Dwarves are too stingy and Lamia are too deceiving.
>>

Also: what is up with those boob caps. They look so weird. ...Then again that's probably because I don't usually see boob caps, but rather, full on cloth covering.

R'ghazi asks Flare a number of questions...

>Ask her what she knows about the layout.

Flare replies that she been "asleep" for a really long time now and overall layout of the tower is hazy in her memory, but she knows that this tower was build long before she was created by its second owner.

>Well lets ask her what she knows about the tower and the surrounding area.

The tower itself surrounded by vast forest as far as the eye can see. The closest town in at least three weeks of walking from here.

>See if she can or wants to leave the kitchen and tag along while you survey things.

Flare explains that she is being of magic that was created from a dragon fire that once filled this stoves... but it was a long time ago and she weakened since then, now she must be tied to living being to maintain her form, that what the glifs on R'ghazi's wrist are for. Flare cant leave the vicinity of her "master" more then for a 50 feet. So she would tag along anyway...

>I don't suppose she knows anything about good places to stock up on food stores in the vicinity?

She says that overseeing delivery of the food supplies was never among her duty's...

>how good are you at sneakin?

R'ghazi
-"Pretty bad..."

>By the way, if you see a cute little Kobold, don't you dare kill him.

R'ghazi
-"I too hungry to promise that! Once i see one we are having a roasted kobold on a stick!"

>Also: what is up with those boob caps. They look so weird

R'ghazi
-"I try not to look at them, but yeah its distracting... since she is tagging along, once there is chance i'd better get Flare some better clothes."

So where should we head next: to the Entrance Hall or should we go outside to hunt for food?
>>
No. 570258 ID: 53ba34

let's try the storage room where food WAS stored, maybe some rats are still around. roast rat is good enough right?
>>

grab food and see how well she can cook.

It's probably going to be hard to hunt something up with a big presumably-brightly coloured friend chained to you with a 50ft tether, but you do need to keep your strength up. Try find something.
>>
No. 570268 ID: 75b8af

>Flare cant leave the vicinity of her "master" more then for a 50 feet
Well, I guess you can't pick a bedroom at the top of the tower, if you want her to have breakfast ready when you wake.

Problem for later, though.

>It's probably going to be hard to hunt something up with a big presumably-brightly coloured friend chained to you with a 50ft tether
Maybe she doesn't have to maintain her form all the time? Poofing out would make her a lot easier to hide.

>>570258
Yeah, I'd poke around before seeing if there's anything easy to track in the surrounding woods. If there are any less friendly guardians or things still active in the tower, you really shouldn't try to face them on a three day empty stomach.
>>
No. 570269 ID: 2c6ff1

Outside hunting wouldn't work because of the fire elemental following you and scaring off the wildlife.

Get to the Entrance Hall.

Yes, demand Flare either try to dim her light or poof out when you're hunting. Unfortunately, with hazy memory, she won't know where you could hunt well.
Finding a rat in the storage rooms is about to be as fruitful as searching the skeleton for meat--Anything with meat on its bones had it stripped off long ago along the hundred years the tower has been abandoned. Unfortunately, it looks like you'll HAVE to hunt out in the forest. ...Maybe you can get lucky and find some traps that already caught some animals Taggart and Sonya are trappers :) or something that was shot with nobody immediately next to it to claim it. I mean, really, if nobody's within ten feet of a carcass, then they have no right to complain when you claim it for yourself, and you could easily prove to them that you're right, maybe getting a SECOND carcass for food along the line.

You're probably gonna need to look for a boar or something else that won't run, or something you can outrun. Like a snail maybe.
>>
No. 570367 ID: d2995c

Gnolls can run pretty fast, especially hungry ones. That being said, fireballs can probably move even faster if Flare can shoot them in her current form.
>>
No. 570370 ID: a6fe63

>>570367

that'd take care of the cooking too! plus roasting things is alive is pretty evil, so that's gotta be another bonus for you.

go look for something boar-sized or bigger because you clearly need some more met on your bones to fill out that top.

After some wandering in the woods R'ghazi managed to hunt one fat traveling trader. Finally so well deserved meat.
>>
No. 570383 ID: f461c5

You fucking nabbed the trader?!?! if you had refrained from killing him, you would have an steady supply of food. You know, barter for supplies for your tower, an actual connection to the outside world as necessary for getting the things you need? You have a meal, maybe a few days worth if you eat as much as it looks like you do, but when that is done, you have nothing, you must hunt again. If you had procured a trade agreement, you could have had him bringing you food every week.
>>
No. 570387 ID: 37aa84

Was he just walking by himself? Where are his wares? If he had any stuff you should probably move it latter. If someone just finds stuff abandoned near your keep belonging to a missing trader people are going to begin suspecting the keep and that means less travelers or better armed ones.

R'ghazi
-"Yeah in retrospect i can see how this was dumb idea... but still meat of southern trader so tender and jucy... i have no regrets"

>Was he just walking by himself? Where are his wares? If he had any stuff you should probably move it latter.

R'ghazi
-"He been carrying small bag and nothing else, i guess he might have been robbed some time ago."
>>
No. 570390 ID: 37aa84

Well once you've eaten your fill I guess it'll be time to head back. On your way check the contents of the small bag.
>>
No. 570392 ID: 1257bf

Excellent. Once more a triumph of the revolution against the middle class capitalists who sponge off the labours of the proletariat! Getting eaten is his own fault for being such a literally fat fatcat. Imagine how much excess he must have eaten to get so plump, while so many in the world starve to death! Truly human beings are hypocritical cattle. You are a warrior of real justice - the justice of a sword's edge!

Once you're done embracing your cultural heritage, check that bag and then get back to exploring.
>>
No. 570410 ID: 53ba34

well, so long as you hide the bones, no one will suspect anything, will think it was just bandits and that they robbed him.
>>
No. 570415 ID: 75b8af

...well, it's good to know your new servant doesn't have any pesky moral qualms.

Eat your fill, and stock the leftovers in the larder for later. Then, depending on the hour and how full you feel after that meal, we either find a place to sleep (hey, we have a nightlight now) or get exploring.
>>
No. 570429 ID: 9ddf68

well once your done then it would probably be a good time to start exploring the rest of this place. If we're going to make this our new base we need to know what we're working with. Oh and be careful of traps.

>so what's in the bag?

R'ghazi inspects trader's belongings...
She find few stacks of Dragon Powder, sack of gold coins, and rather plain looking t-shirt (wich she immediatly equips on Flare)

Flare is pleased with a gift :)
>>
No. 570606 ID: 189a54

With the addition of a shirt that riding like a horse plan is seeming much more awesome and safe to attempt.

Anyway, perhaps you should head out and hunt some extra things for the food stores before you continue exploring? And try to be a bit more careful about which sentient people you kill, that could get you a dangerous amount of attention if you end up murdering some important guy or something.
>>

dragon powder? what's that?
>>
No. 570619 ID: 75b8af

What's dragon powder? A spice? A magical or alchemical reagent? Concentrated dragon- just add water?

Remember to stow the leftovers in the larder when they won't spoil immediately or get eaten by rats. Then you either need to find some place to bed down for the night, or start exploring.
>>
No. 570634 ID: dea113

Set some traps in the kitchen so you can later tell if other people have bee trespassing. Let's go check out that main entrance and move towards finding the gem.
>>
No. 570644 ID: 14d3df

That shirt doesn't really help if she's going to spin around in mid air and leave them to bounce around like that. When more pressing concerns are taken care of we should consider getting Flare a proper bra. For now let's get to the entrance hall and begin exploring.
>>
No. 570646 ID: ca0da5

At least it's better than nothing.

It may take a while before your body gets the energy from the meat you've just consumed, make sure you don't spend too much energy in the next thirty minutes or so. Whether you take the time to get some rest, or to explore the tower, is up to you, but hunting may not be the best idea until you feel the boost of energy.
>>
No. 570706 ID: d2995c

Ok, food and loot gotten. If there are any leftovers the tower probably has some way to store them, then we can continue exploring.

All of the above... well exept the last one... that would be stupid...

>When more pressing concerns are taken care of we should consider getting Flare a proper bra.

Find a bra for a Flare - quest accepted

>Remember to stow the leftovers in the larder when they won't spoil immediately or get eaten by rats.

Flare took care of that

>Set some traps in the kitchen so you can later tell if other people have bee trespassing.

You dont have any to set...

R'ghazi and Flare make their way to the main entrance hall...

Visible path splits in three... one up the ladder and two to each side of the hall...

Examine sword and sign.

Then let's go to the right. The direction with the sign in front of it. You're not going to let some little sign keep you out in your own tower!

Besides, I'm sure the floor is long since dry. Unless the sign got put up recently, in which case you want to see who's in your tower putting up signs anyways.

well the right hall has a sign in front of it, which might mean people, which means they are people trespassing on our new fort. THEY MUST BE DEALT WITH!
